Look at this thing. This is the Roadhouse at its finest. A heaping portion plopped on a plate.

How I love Texas Roadhouse. The land of the reasonably priced steak dinner. In this day and age, that fact alone will get the masses packed into the dining room night after night. To even get to this place, you need to turn into a hotel parking lot. You can see the Roadhouse sign from all over the dang place, but if you're not familiar with the unique parking design, actually finding the entrance can be a challenge in itself. So yeah, it feels a bit wrong pulling into the Homewood Suites parking lot, but that's what you gotta do. Then keep driving, and Texas Roadhouse is straight ahead. Now comes the wait! Only on very rare occasions can you simply walk in and get a table without having to first wait in the very elongated waiting room. Trying to avoid the wait? Nice try, but they don't take reservations. So you are at the mercy of the other ravenous meat lovers in a ten mile radius. People seriously drive from distant towns to come to this Roadhouse. It just shows the wide, lasting appeal of being able to take out your family to dinner without racking up more credit card debt. No joke about the price difference. The "other guys" are serving up similar steaks but for 20% more. You could argue you are paying for better ambiance - the Roadhouse attracts families with small children, and well, you can imagine. The dining room is bright, it's big, it's loud. If that's not a problem then you just might be Roadhouse material.

In town for work so riding solo. Saddled up to the bar. Great bartenders with great company around. Beer was cold and food was hot. Would recommend coming here. Had the steak and shrimp combo

We did 'call ahead' seating and only had to wait 30 minutes on a Saturday night. We have been to this location many times and we have learned that it's a great idea to get on the waitlist. Our waitress was busy so I won't say the service was the best we ever had, but it wasn't bad. We did get water refills after flagging her down. Food was good, but they forgot the peppercorn sauce so we asked another waitress to get that for us (we didn't see our waitress so we just asked a kind waitress to help.

Great food! We went on a busy night and I wished I had realized that we could have gotten on a waitlist before going but now I know.

Also, think they have the best Mac n Cheese (tho I do miss the fresh herb component). Still a favorite, but hoping some of the former glory is restored on my next visit!

Even the complementary bread and butter is high quality--a bit torturous, in fact, since you don't want to spoil your appetite for the what's coming. Go big and get the Delmonico ribeye. Perfection. The oysters with the perfectly vinegary migonette sauce is a great starter, as is the butcher's bacon. Also, pro tip, you can get the salads in half sizes and you wouldn't go wrong with any of them. The caesar is my favorite, but recently had an outstanding wedge as well, with plenty of bleu cheese.

My husband and I assessed Austin's differently. He ordered prime rib which he said was nothing short of perfect. Cooked medium rare as requested, tender, juicy -- he savored every bite. I scanned the menu. Nothing jumped out at me. (I generally don't gravitate to steakhouse-type restaurants.) I ordered a half rack of baby back ribs. My point of comparison is Longhorn's which offers more of a bang-for-a-buck, and in my opinion better tasting ribs. Not to say that Austin's aren't good. They are. Based on the popularity of Austin's, it's clear management knows what they're doing. But I think a small salad and baked potato should be available with the price of the entree -- not worth the extra $7 I was going to be charged. The salad is listed as 'field greens,' -- which it's not -- but reading the menu you'll see they mean iceberg and romaine. The salad was good, enhanced by their garlic ranch dressing. We washed down our meals with well-priced drinks: merlot ($8.90) and Blue Moon ($6.90), then splurged on dessert. Austin's flourless double chocolate brownie a la mode is very rich. One order for two adults is plenty. Austin's is aptly described as a family restaurant. A lot of kids. A lot of noise. Service is friendly and on-the-ball. While not my kind of restaurant, if prime rib is your thing -- this could be the place!

I thought this was a local chain that we might not have in New York, but I've since learned it's not! The ambience is gorgeous, warm and inviting well still having a luxury upscale experience. with a beautiful fish tank that doesn't even have a fingerprint on it. The service is on point, the steaks on point and the side dishes, never disappoint! Please add those glazed carrots to the regular menu because I never knew I liked glazed carrots until I had them there and I blame you for my addiction! The bread and butter are delicious and I feel like you can always tell the quality of a good restaurant by the bread and butter that they put out they take the extra minute to warm up the butter and that really says a lot about customer service to me As I mentioned earlier, I usually go Valentine's Day weekend and if the holiday actually falls on a weekend, I try to go the day before or the day after just because I feel like any restaurant gives a better experience, not on a holiday! But I did end up here one year on Valentine's Day. It was packed. I got the mini bandeja paisa, my wife got some chicken cutlet with plantains and my baby girl got the cheeseburger with fries. They had 2 different sauces; one's some mayo type sauce and the other, their home made jalapeno sauce. That jalapeno sauce was some of the best sauces, period, that I've ever had - it had a nice kick, but not too spicy, a hint of sweetness, but more tangy and flavorful... So good that we bought their big bottle ($15). 2 days later and we are halfway done. :( My baby girl was making a huge mess with her PEZ candy and they were dropping all over, but the lady who took care of us, was extremely patient and understood our frustration. She was graceful towards us! Everywhere I look, and I don't mean to offend anyone but, too many "American" restaurants that serve the same or very similar dishes and there isn't much around that offers distinctive cuisine, but this place is different and I was glad that we ended going there, especially after going to a very disappointing restaurant the night before.
