I read a lot of reviews on fb about this place. It was finally time to try it. They do not have a parking lot. It is street parking only. We were greeted by the lady behind the counter when we walked in. She explained that you order at the counter, and you are welcome to sit at a table and eat, but the food comes wrapped to go. When you order you are asked if you want a seeded or Non- seeded roll. We ordered the Original Cheesesteak, WIT, cooper sharp and a side of their house sauce. (WIT = with onions. Philly slang) We also ordered the Drunken Chicken sandwich which has Vodka Sauce, fresh mozzarella and crispy prosciutto. We also ordered a side of fresh cut fries. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When we walked in there were only two other people in there, but the place got busy within 5 minutes between phone orders and walk-in's.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our food came out in about 10 minutes, I thought that was pretty good since there was a phone order for 6 sandwiches right in front of us. The fries came in a paper bag, there were enough for a family of four! The bag was close to half full. Let me say that my wife is not a typical fan of the shaved rib eye cheesesteak. She prefers the chipped steak kind. She approves of this one! She was pleasantly surprised by the taste and the ribeye didn't seem overly fatty. The seeded roll added to the taste as well. The drunken chicken came in a box cut in half. There was plenty of chicken, the sauce was good and it was toasted. Very good sandwich! This is the second time that I have ordered from here first time was wonderful. This time I was looking forward to this Philly cutlet sub. It was dry. I think there was cheese on the bread, but you couldn't see it. The broccoli rabe on it well I originally am not from here so I didn't know that the Philly puts red pepper in it, which I am very sensitive too. Ex-Employee here, he treated me badly my first official day. Told me if I can't take orders and phone calls the next day, without training may I say, that I can grab my purse and get out. Today I went and picked up my money I earned for the two days I worked, he threw it at me over the counter and my mom stood up for me saying he didn't have to throw it. He shouted at her to get out and called her a crazy b****. My 15 year old brother stood up for her and told him not to call her a b**** which resulted in him RUNNING around the counter towards him. Do not eat here. Do not work here. The boss, Jamie, is RUDE. I heard him even yell at an older gentlemen who was eating in store, seemed like he had hearing problems, because his phone was playing music and Jamie the boss, couldn't sit on his ass and watch his sports game in peace. Just visited JD's this afternoon and it was the best decision I made! Haven't had a cheesesteak in a long while and boyfriend was craving a cheesesteak, so of course I told him we had to try JD's for the first time. You could really tell it's 100% ribeye. The flavor was just sooo good. The onions were perfect and added that extra flavor. Boyfriend and I split the cheesesteak and he finished first. He looked over at me and asked me if I was finished with mine, which is just code for "can I have the rest of yours?" My boyfriend is quite picky with his food, so that just meant he truly enjoyed it! He also isn't a big fries person and he said that the fresh cut seasoned fries were delicious!
