I'm trying to understand why my experience is so different from these 5 star reviews…read more. After talking to a few pest companies, not only did they get the species of ants wrong (acrobat vs carpenter) which affects the bait being used, but they also can't get their story straight. I contacted them about an ant infestation inside my home. The technician who came out placed sugar bait inside to eliminate colony. He told me that an exterior treatment was not necessary at that time. I accepted that recommendation, due to potential exposure for my active dog. Months later, I called to follow up because the ant problem had not been resolved. I was then told the $216.50 treatment of simply adding sugar bait for the interior also included exterior treatment during the original visit. That was surprising because I was never told an exterior treatment had been done. When I asked where it had been applied, they did not give me a clear answer regarding the exterior. Paying for another treatment isn't the issue. If the ants require another visit, I'm happy to pay for it. My concern is that the explanation of what was actually done has changed. Now, they're saying I have to pay another $216 for their services again. Something just isn't adding up. If there's a reasonable explanation, I'd like to hear it. Based on the conflicting information, I have little confidence in their service.

The other two went out of business, which meant my warranties were void--frustrating and expensive. Even though his company is new, you can tell he's a seasoned pro. I contacted a different rodent removal company 2 weeks ago after I heard these noises - as of Friday, I can't wait for them any longer, the HVAC guy showed me a pic of 2 HVAC ducts destroyed by ???? I called Kyle, and he came out that afternoon. After checking it all out, he told me the culprit was a raccoon - then showed me all the damage that critter had done. I'm going to need a new roof, for starters - this critter chewed a hole through my roof and destroyed ductwork that must be completely replaced. He made a thorough check inside & outside of my house, then set up live traps. He said he expected to catch this critter over the weekend. The very next morning, there is a HUGE raccoon in the trap on my roof!!! He removed the culprit & the trap, then patched the hole in my roof. He kindly followed up with the report it's a MALE raccoon, so there were no babies to look for and/or remove. Thank goodness!! That important info put my mind to rest, along with his fixing all portals of possible entry by other critters. He provided photos of everything, along with full explanations of it all. I suffered for 2 weeks not knowing what was happening, while more damage was being done to my HVAC system and roof. Within 24 hours, Kyle had the worst part taken care of = knowing what that raccoon would do and catching him so quickly. Kyle is polite, very responsive, trustworthy, and the most knowledgeable critter remover in the area, so I highly recommend that you call him for these kinds of issues. Best customer experience ever, especially with such a sensitive topic of WHAT IS IT and WHAT CAN BE DONE??? Don't wait to call, either - especially when you hear something in your walls, under your floors, or in your attic. I was a case-study in how NOT to maintain my dryer duct: It had been almost 20 years since it had been cleaned. We bought a new drier, which shut down due to restricted air flow. I had had a competitor come out the day before Omer's visit; while friendly, all they had was a hand-operated floppy brush more suited to HVAC ducts. They had no luck, and suggested I just move the dryer out to the garage and put in a new duct! Omer arrived with 2 different cameras, and a range of stiff brushes which he worked with his drill, in very tight spaces, and was finally able to dislodge what must have been a 10#, soaking wet mass of lint. He installed an upgraded flexible duct and a new outside duct cover, and cleaned everything up. I've learned my lesson: call Lady Bird out annually, and request Omer!

The inspection report was very thorough with pictures and written in terms I could understand. Allan checked items I wouldn't have even considered and made several ongoing maintenance suggestions. He used a drone to inspect the roof, thermal cameras to inspect HVAC and insulation, electrical outlets, water systems, appliances, etc. Discovered several items I wouldn't have noticed (or at least not until they became serious issues). We hired Texas Rodent to help with a raccoon that had given birth between the floor and ceiling of two floors in our home. We were looking for a humane, minimally disruptive solution -- and that's exactly what we got. From the very first contact, Don was easy to talk to, highly communicative, and quick to respond. He and Fernando developed a thoughtful plan to safely evacuate the mother and humanely extract the pups. The outcome was the best we could have hoped for: the mother was reunited with some of her pups, and the rest were placed in a wildlife refuge -- every single raccoon accounted for and safe, with minimal stress to the animals. I had many squirrels in an enclosed inaccessible area between my bedroom ceiling, attic and roof. I called 8 rodent removal companies. 4 responded and came to the house. Each quote was over $1000 dollars, Way over. Don found the opening right away. Gave me a great price way under $1000. They went above and beyond covering all the vents around the whole house. Even sprayed a large wasp nest at the highest window that is unreachable for me. Then they dragged the hose up there and cleaned the window from all the bug spray.He helloinserted a trap door that allowed the rodents to get return through it with that being the only opening within a few days they all got out and could not come back in. I recently had a family of raccoons in my attic this spring that had a litter of cubs and I could not figure out how they were getting in my attic! The guys at Texas Rodent came out and did a very thorough inspection and found all the areas on the roof where they were getting in right away. They were extremely knowledgeable and got everything sealed up and the raccoons are now gone! These guys have to do very dangerous work up on the roof, and they sure know what they're doing. They told me there was no need to spray chemicals; no treatment was required. They were here maybe 5 minutes. They told me this was essentially a consultation. There would be no charge. Talk about a surprise! I could easily see a fee for showing up (like plumbers), but they were gracious. They said genuinely, they just provided me with some information. If I get frustrated with my efforts, there is a path they can take, but it's certainly not necessary now. They have gained a customer! Even though I'm not officially using their services right now.

I ended up taking care of it myself through Gary's advice, only because it was a safer part of our steep 2 story roof. So I had needed them a couple of times during the quarter since I had just moved in and the house hadn't been lived in for at least 5 yrs. I would not recommend them to anyone. Their communication is terrible. They said they contacted me and we "discussed it several times"....uh, NO WE DID NOT. They may have talked amongst themselves in the office but NOBODY told me until I got that call from the owner from out of the blue and had no idea what he was talking about. I mean, isn't that what I'm paying for...for them to come out when there's a bug problem and spray for bugs???! There are plenty of pest control companies around, so don't bother with this one.

What we got instead was a complete nightmare. From the first visit, things felt off. The technician was in and out in record time. When I asked about the mosquito treatment, he literally said, "I'm not sure it's worth it to treat for mosquitos because of your property and the trees, but if you want..." Uh, yes -- the trees and the setting are exactly why we need it! That should have been the first red flag. After the initial treatment, our yard was still covered in spider webs -- all over the door frames -- and I found an expired wasp nest under a light fixture. Gross, but I figured maybe that's just Austin. (Spoiler: it's not.) To make things even more confusing, they told me the previous homeowners had also used them for treatment. How!? If that's true, why are there webs and nests everywhere? Why does it look like the place has been ignored for months? That comment alone made me seriously question what they actually do during visits. Three weeks in, I lifted a tennis racket in the garage and a huge cockroach fell out. That was it. I called, and they sent the same tech back. When I told him what happened, he looked me in the eye and said: "You live in Texas now. This is normal. You'll see them, even inside your house. If you keep calling me, I'll put you on a blacklist." Excuse me? That's your professional response? He sprayed again -- quickly and half-heartedly -- and left. I hoped it was resolved. Nope. When we moved here from LA, we both got brand-new cars -- year 2025, never owned -- parked in our garage. Soon after, I noticed spider webs inside my SUV. Took it to get professionally detailed. The webs came back. Looked closer at the garage door inside -- egg sacs and webs everywhere. I was still paying $89 a month for this "service." And then the final straw: driving this morning, three spiders came down from the ceiling of my car while I was behind the wheel.
