This place a was great and then somewhere around 2014/2015 it got new owners and went downhill for a while (cheaper or bad ingredients). I don't know if the new owners wizened up or if there are other newer owners, but the Mexican Pizza is the test at this restaurant...and it is wonderful again! Way to go! Keep it up. read more

Pizza was overall good but pretty average to someone who loves pizza from all different styles. We got two large two topping pizzas that had a similar crust to that of papa johns. It was not very filling but the cheese and sauce were both pretty appetizing. The pizzas were very fairly priced so that was a positive. We have lived in Cleburne for about a year and a half and were looking for a local pizza place that was tasty and had that home town charm. Well we found it tonight at Texas Royal Pizza. We got to sample four of their tasty pizzas and they were all delicious. The Super pizza is loaded with everything but the kitchen sink with a nice crunchy crust. We did half and half with the Chicken Alfredo which was rich and creamy. We did the all you can eat which they make to order so we ended the night with a half Mexican pizza (you can get it spicy or mild) and half chicken Fajita. Loved them both and would definitely to it again. The owners are very friendly Bob and Phyllis. If you're looking for something out of the cookie cutter pizza world of big box. Very disappointed in the pizza. The hotel recommended the pizza and the reviews where good on Trip Advisor. Should have looked at these before I ordered. I ordered a thin crust sausage, jalapeno, onion with extra sauce with each additional topping costing an extra $1.50. I can count the number of sausages, onions and jalapenos on one hand. No extra sauce but covered is so much extra cheese I can barely eat it. Not what I ordered. Was told they have a $16.00 minimum for delivery and then they added another $5.00 which does not show on their website. I would have appreciated the info up front. What a disappointment. We were drawn to the gluten free and vegan cheese options for my wife. She ordered that and the rest of us ordered the "buffet" which was an amazing deal. They told me it would take 20 minutes for my order to be ready, so I showed at the store a few minutes early. Apparently they mess up on my pizza and it took 40 minutes. They did not tell me that they messed up and that it would be longer of a wait. They did not apologize or anything, very disappointing. read more

Whenever I travel I make it a point to support a local pizza restaurant versus the garbage chain restaurants. Boy did I make a good one coming here. Had the large pepperoni and some hot wings. When I asked what they would do to make it right, they offered a 2-liter of coke....
