Old School decor but we liked the feel of the place. We got fresh bread (free) that was delicious. My husband ordered a Cesar Salad and he noted the dressed was "potent" and enjoyed his rabbit food . We ordered an XL (18") meat pizza (was supposed to be the stuffed pizza- but I didn't take points off bcs we loved our pizza!) It had a well balance of ingredients and I actually liked the red sauce. I enjoyed eating at Giovanni's for the first time. We had pepperoni with canadian bacon. The pizza was delicious and a large was very big with plenty to take home for lunch the next day. Two of us the pizza with a cold beverage. They sell beer and wine. Italian garden like ambience. Big screen televisions. Family friendly. Parking is plenty. It's a rare occasion that we go inside and sit to eat here, 9 times out of 10 it's a take out order and we eat in the comfort of our own home. The setting here is dim, not overly bright, yet not overly fancy. Tables and chairs are a bit outdated, but they work. Regardless of the atmosphere and tables, the food is why folks continue to come here. Amazing food with some friendly staff. Today was our first time with the Antipasti Salad, and it was really good. After seeing the reviews from various sources we decided to try Giovanni's. It was AMAZING! We were immediately greeted and had our drink order taken. The staff was friendly and attentive. We got our bread and drinks quickly! We ordered the chicken parm and the eggplant parm and both had side salads with the house dressing! It was phenomenal and the portions were HUGE! As we were eating and raving on what we ordered, we had the opportunity to meet the owner as he made the rounds checking on customers. He was so kind and thanked us for coming. I have ordered from Giovanni's a few times through Doordash. I have had their Fettuccine Alfredo, their Angel Hair with Meat Sauce, their Supreme Pizza, Strombolis, Chicken Picatta, and Tiramisu Their Alfredo can use more lemon in my opinion, their red sauce is awful, the pizza is good and so is the stromboli that they allow you to add veggies to, the piccata can also use just a little more lemon and the tiramisu is also good. I do not know if this Giovannis is the same as the one in Ft Worth. They also give you fresh baked bread with all of their pasta dishes which is nice. read more

I took my Mom to eat here, we had never been there before. We ordered our waters, and when I got up, and went to the bathroom, I saw an almost dead roach on the bathroom floor. We are here on Sunday after church, wait staff was terrible, they were "out" of utensils and out of a lot of menu items. They must have run out of clean drink glasses as well because they were serving drinks in styrofoam cups. Food quality is not the same. My whole family got sick from eating here. We definitely recommend! My husband, son, and I went here last night for the first time. They were pretty busy but were able to seat us quickly. We started off with bread and ordered a side of dipping oil which was so good. They give you butter but the oil is much better with the bread. We also got calamari, which we didn't care for because it was very chewy. Great size though, just chewy. The lobster ravioli was AMAZING. We both ordered. You could see and taste actual pieces of lobster and the sauce was very rich which went well with the ravioli. Definitely a must try! We also got a few pieces of pizza which came out hot and had nice flavor. (Forgot to take a picture though) Our waitress was a really sweet, hard worker. We will be back. read more

I would say all in all I'm strongly believe that Giovanni's restaurant is going to probably one of the best in town the food is awesome you got to come and try it out it's something you'll probably never want to miss but all the work is there I'm pretty awesome and this is Billy Bones who works in the back so when you guys are getting fresh salad and it's crunchy and crispy and tasty it's Billy Bones who's doing it well we hope to see you come through the more the merrier. Took a chance based on reviews and glad we did. We got Cheese Raviolis with Alfredo sauce, grilled chicken Alfredo over vegetables and a meat lovers pizza. The Alfredo was homemade and VERY good! It even rivaled our favorite place back home. The pizza was a thin crust that was very crispy and tasty, even a few hours later whilst snacking. This place used to be such a hidden gem! Great food and friendly owners. I believe they've switched owners or management because it is no longer worth it. The menu looks the same but the food tastes completely different and it's not good. And my gosh the waitstaff was terrible. Our waitress was rude not only to us but her other tables as well. Dropped in for a late night dinner after driving around town exploring. Honestly we did not have very high expectations, but we were VERY surprised. The staff was super friendly (waitresses and Sam/pizza guy) and the menu options (with some really nice seafood fare) were beyond what we had hoped for. H got the spaghetti and really enjoyed it- he said the pasta was cooked perfectly. I got the shrimp scampi and a couple glasses of Pinot- it was really nice and the shrimp were a great size. DD got the gluten free alfredo and spinach pizza- and she absolutely LOVED it. She said she wanted a candle with the smell infused ... she's said it's officially now her fav GF pizza in the DFW area (which is no small victory). It's about a 30 minute drive, but we will definitely be coming back to town just to eat here. Very grateful for a pleasant end to a long day. read more

The server was nice enough to clear & clean a table. But that was about the end of her good service. She didn't bother to tell me that they were out of clean silverware until she started bringing food. Instead, she brought a package of little white plastic utensils. A different server brought another customer a larger set of plastic utensils. I had to ask "Lisa" for the larger plastic utensils. She acted like I was from outer space. Found this spot on a road trip with our kids. You never know what you'll get but the food was AMAZING. (And I'm picky..) Plus it's hard to find restaurants with tortellini Alfredo on the menu and theirs was excellent. Something happened with our order ticket where it didn't get submitted, and we ended up waiting forever for our food. They were apologetic and very accommodating. They took a % off our bill, brought free dessert to the table AND brought out quarters for our 5 kids to use the quarter machines. Phenomenal service. Oh, and I appreciate that you can buy most of their pizzas by the slice so I don't buy a whole pizza for a kid to eat one slice lol We will be back! read more

apparently they removed my review of this disgusting place. The food was nasty and had no flavor whatsoever. The stromboil and calzone was greasy and tasted nasty, the chicken Alfredo gave our granddaughter the heaves. several of us had stomach issues by the next day! Don't waste your money here! The shrimp scampi was flavorless and we had to drain a lot of water out of the takeout container. The Grandmas Lasagna was also crappy tasting. The mozzarella sticks tasted like rubber! yuck!
