This is our goto pizza place in Granbury. We've tried a bunch and we keep coming back. The prices are reasonable and less of a sticker shock here than we found elsewhere for pizza. Got the white pizza as takeout, with Italian sausage. Very disappointed: the pizza was underdone, and there were maybe a handful of spinach leaves, a smattering of tiny tomato cubes (as if from bruschetta), and perhaps 15 slices of Italian sausage on a 20" pizza. Compare my description to what you see on the website, and you'll see how underwhelming it was. It's cheap, sure, but they've cut so many corners withe toppings that we paid $24 for essentially a cheese pizza. And we had to cook it more in the oven at home before it was browned. read more

My first visit to Alex's was a few days ago when I stopped in for a couple of slices of pizza. Terrific that they offer pizza by the slice as well as different whole pizza types (thin crust, deep dish, stuffed crust, etc.). I selected one plain cheese and one pepperoni slice and they baked them for me in their oven/it took about ten minutes. Absolutely the best pizza I've had here in TX anywhere! Food isn't bad, sauce is better than most in this area. Being Sicilian and making my own, I'm a little harsher than most in Italian places. The food took a lot longer than normal to get out from the kitchen, my boss and I almost had to take the food to go because it took so long (we ordered a calzone and a lunch special pasta plate). I loved it! Ordered a slice of Supreme and a slice of Meat Lovers pizza with a slice of Italian cake. I have no complaints. The pizza crust was perfect, the toppings were fresh, plentiful, and the vegetables were large with a nice snap, not limp. The cake was so fresh, moist, light and airy. The icing was light similar to a whipped cream unlike a cream cheese frosting. I ate the Supreme slice before the picture. Highly recommend eating here! read more

This is our go to pizza spot in Granberry. I've downloaded the app Slice so I can order online and this is also an easy place to view the menu. We always order it for delivery and it comes fast and hot from the nicest drivers. I recommend the wings, the antipasta salad with the house dressing and the pizza. It was the 18" XLArge 1 Topping pizza for $11.95 that caught my eye. We were in the area later that day and decided to give Alex's a try. I'm glad we did, as I liked it. To be honest, the crust is a little thicker than I like, and didn't really think of it as a "New York Style", but it was still good. Cute place. You order at the counter and the food is brought to you. Large number of tables in a clean dining room with two TVs. Our pizza came out piping hot and was quite good. Alex's has a very complete menu, featuring pizza, stuffed pizza, a large selection of pastas, and good selection of deserts, including cheesecake. Most entrees are around $10. Shrimp dishes are about $12. I also see Deep Dish Sicilian pizza too, and that sounds good. I'm pretty sure I saw calzones and strombolis in the display case too. Oh and Alex's does offer delivery. I think it was within 7 miles, but do check. Quite possibly our new favorite pizza place in Granbury. Bottom line: Menu says "Brick oven pizza", but the oven is not on display. read more

We walked in tonight at 8:25 and waited in line for 3 customers to order. When we got to the counter to order 1 large pepperoni pizza we were told they were closed. The doors said the operating hours were until 9 but the lady at the counter said they take their last order 30 minutes before closing. We were there in line before 8:30 and I am sure they could have managed to get 1 large pizza out to us. Very poor customer service especially after we have been customers since the store opened. Great pizza when you can actually order it but definitely need better customer service at the register. read more

So just happened to be in Granbury Texas and saw this for local pizza dive spot. I've had pizza all over the US including Chicago and New York walking in I got a real mom and pops feel. The owners were super nice place was clean menu was simple and to the point. The service was as suspected quick and friendly. The pizza came out in a few minutes was hot and fresh served with marinara sauce which was a plus. Now as far as taste and quality I look at several thing product, and quality. The meat was good cheese was great and had a good smell which is super important to me. The bread was soft and firm which makes eating the huge slice of pizza very manageable. The homemade bread definitely stood out the most a blended assortment of herbs mixed with the bread made it taste great. Over all I'd say this place makes a great pie and is definitely worth a shot of your around and even better if your a local.
