We ordered 7 lbs of crawfish to go. We asked that 5 lbs be put in 1 container and the other 2 lbs in another container. When we brought the order home it didn't look like 7 lbs so we called and they said they put all 7 lbs of crawfish in one container despite our request. It just didn't look right. We weighed them and it was indeed just 5 lbs. We called and the manager argued and said she would not replace the 2 lbs or give a refund. They've lost our business over $18 when we spend a minimum of $105 there a week. read more

Let me say first that my waitress was sweet and attentive, but not over-the-top. I was not bowled-over from the beginning- the iceberg salad (aka boring) was literally drowning in ranch dressing and fake bacon bits (ew!). Yes, I said FAKR BACON BITS, people! I can't believe that restaurants still serve this crap! *Note to kitchen-Fry up some REAL damn bacon instead! It's actually cheaper in the long run because you won't need as much on the actual salad and your customers will absolutely NOT miss the fake bacon bits that I wouldn't even feed to my dog. The ribeye was perfectly cooked and seasoned. It was actually very tasty. My baked potato was swimming in butter. It turned into butter and potato soup. The last disappointment were the vegetables. Limp zucchini, squash and onions were way over-cooked and lacked anything resembling something palatable. Forgot to note the jumbo shrimp was rubbery and tepid. Wow, just wow. We started our dinner with a hair in our fried pickles. The server brought new ones. Then I ordered chicken fried rice. It was disgusting. I let the server know, & she took the plate from me but I didn't order anything else since I was already grossed out by it. My husband pays without looking at the bill. I go up there to ask for what we were charged for. They still charged us for the pickles even though they did have a hair & also the rice even though she took the plate from me when I told her it was nasty. The server went to get the owner & I explained to him what happened. I have never met a more ignorant restaurant owner. He was placing blame on everyone else & acting like I was crazy for my concerns. When I told him his server shouldn't have taken my plate from me if I was still going to get charged for the 1 bite I took, he told me the plate was still in the back & would bring it to me, although it was already 30 minutes later. He also tried to say my husbands family are loyal customers that have been coming to his restaurant not causing any problems for 10 years now. LOL It was their very first time there considering they live 2.5 hours away. So not only was he trying to place blame on everyone else, he is also a blatant liar. This is a nice Hole-in-the-wall place that has good seafood at reasonable prices, my wife had the Steak N Taters and I had the fired catfish, very tasty. Less than average food, ok prices and bad wait staff. Basically like a Baytown seafood but not as good. I ordered the grilled seafood platter, the red snapper was over done, the shrimp still had lots of shell on most of them and were chewy and the scallops were hard and over cooked. The "cajun" rice was bland and bad. The best thing on the plate was the grilled veggies. Had fried calamari as an appetizer and amazingly it was the best fried calamari I've ever had! I believe the gumbo was from a bucket and they boiled the chicken and added it and pulled shrimp out of a freezer from China and put in it and called it gumbo. How ever the fried food was ok. I don't know what's going on with this restaurant but the prices are going UP and the quality is going DOWN! The grilled seafood dinner that use to be $10.99 is now $15.99, the side lobster tail that was $10 is now $15 (not worth it for the tiny tail you get) and almost everything has gone up in price at least $2-3. This past crawfish season their crawfish was $7.99 per pound and when you consider that you're only getting about 4 oz of actual, edible meat, that's a lot! I can't go to the store and buy a rib eye for that price!! On our last visit I ordered gumbo with a side piece of fried red snapper and my Hubby ordered fried shrimps with a side of fried red snapper as well. We specified RED SNAPPER. Both of our sides were fried catfish instead. It is illegal to sell catfish (or any lesser quality fish) as red snapper. The same owners have opened a restaurant in Cleveland and we tried it a couple of times already. Same thing, we specify red snapper and get catfish. The last time I ordered the fish, shrimps and oysters dinner which is $12.99. The oysters were delicious, the fish was catfish not red snapper and the shrimps tasted like they had turned. They're got to do a better job than this if they plan to stay open in Cleveland, especially with these prices! You can go a mile down the road to Fish Tales and for $7 get 5 pieces of shrimps or fish with French fries and hush puppies and it's delicious!! I've been to this place several times since it opened. But I won't be back. The food quality has gone way down hill. This last time we ordered the combo plate consisting of a crab cake, piece of fish and 6 shrimp. The crab cake has to be frozen out of a box. It's binder seemed to be rice. Had no real taste to it. The fish I think was frozen as well. Just did not look or taste like they just breaded and fried after we walked in the door. Wasn't worth the 11 bucks a plate. The thing that she was not getting is my husband order 25 boiled shrimp and the people next to us order 60 fried shrimp and they got their food before my husband. The only thing great about this place is the walking distance from the hotel. You walk in and are sat fairly quickly. Drinks are promptly given. Menu is odd. Kind of a throw all on it. Food isn't anything memorable. I've been several times hoping for better food but always let down. Ate fried oysters and catfish last time and didn't taste "right" i didn't eat any more of the oysters in fear of getting sick. Gumbo is not something I would consider gumbo. Crawfish ettoufe was bland. Catfish was fried perfecrly, but bland. Coleslaw, seemed freshly made. It was ok. The decor has a little texas steakhouse feel to it and a little seafood and Chinese decor all tossed into one big room. An employees or maybe the owners little.girl likes to run up and down the isle, even stopped at my table and pretended to write down my order and went and played waitress at an empty table.
