My boyfriend Zack & I have eaten here multiple times whenever he's here on business in Texas. I was very impressed by how the manager, Tim, and the staff handled a problematic customer who came to the bar (with his own liquor btw) and harassed a mother & her daughter at dinner. The audacity of this man to only order fried pickles chips & proceed to hit on the daughter & call them evil spirits/insult them when he was inevitably rejected. They made sure he was kicked out and made it right with the mother & daughter. If this is how they handle things here in Texas, I'm proud to say we will be back again & again. Oh my the food looked delicious, but it wasn't. This dinner meal got me very sick. My stomach is still aching 2 days later. The ironic thing is that I have eating at many other locations and I had no problems, but at this location something went wrong. I'm extremely disappointed with my experience at Texas Roadhouse. During our meal, we had a roach crawl directly across our table while we were eating, which is completely unacceptable for any restaurant, especially one that serves families. To make matters worse, our waiter also forgot part of our order and never brought one of our sides. What made the situation even more frustrating was how poorly it was handled. After bringing the roach issue and the missing food to their attention, there was absolutely no effort made to make things right -- no apology that felt sincere, no compensation, nothing. Cleanliness and customer service should be basic expectations when dining out, and unfortunately this experience failed on both. I normally don't leave negative reviews, but this was bad enough that I feel others should know before spending their money here. Very disappointing experience. read more

This is a hard review to write, since Baytown has such limited dining options and Texas Roadhouse has been among the better places to eat here for a while. My last few experiences here, however, have been consistently disappointing enough for me to write this review. The food is not great. The steaks are mediocre on the best days and are never properly cooked; I used to send them back but I just don't bother anymore because the beef isn't good enough for it to matter that much. The sides are okay, but again... often improperly cooked. Today I sent my steamed vegetables back because they were raw, and they came back microwaved into oblivion. Service is friendly but never correctly paced. If you want to order an appetizer, do not order your entree until you get it, or else you'll get all your food at the same time. And they will just keep piling plates on your table, oblivious to any problems it might cause. It's loud, of course, like every Texas Roadhouse, but not overly so. And given the lack of dining options in the area, you have a chance at an okay meal. I do have to say, as locals, we keep giving this place chances. We hope it will get better again!! read more

Called ahead of time for a table of 25 and we were told we'd be seated in the same section but different tables, which we were good with. once we all got inside they told us the entire party had to be there. again, we were ok with that. but when they started to sit us they were splitting us in 8s and not in the same section. we wasted so much time for no reason. really disappointed in roadhouse, I feel like all of this could've been avoided had they told us that over the phone to begin with. read more

I bought them a couple rounds. I had a few rounds myself, and upon ordering my meal, and a to go appetizer for friends back in the truck stop, with a tab in excess of $225, my excellent perfect absolutely fantastic bartender told me that I would no longer be served because management saw my bar tab. Bro, I've drank more at a kindergarten Christmas song recital, seriously. 30% OF MY BILL WERE FOR DRINKS FOR OTHER PEOPLE. YOUR MANAGER, IS OBVIOUSLY A HARDCORE LIBERAL LEFT-WING NUT JOB, STRAIGHT FROM THE HEART OF HOUSTON, AND FOR THAT I AM SORRY. It's okay though. I took my Uber back to where I was parked, and about to drop $150 more at a nearby bar, and guess what, STILL BUYING DRINKS FOR OTHER PEOPLE. Now that the liberal dictation is out of the way, let's get to my experience. My bartender was Ashley. She was so nice and super attentive and heed to my every beck and call, which wasn't much. Gave me exactly what I asked for! The whole time. I really wanted catfish, because a lot of these places that aren't in Texas, don't have catfish. If you go to a TRH that's NOT in Texas, it's going to be straight ass. I wanted a steak, but I also wanted catfish, so Ashley was able to get me a catfish à la carte, with the steak and rib combo that I wanted. They gave me a sweet potato with marshmallows, that I've never ever seen in my life at any other trh all over the country. I have some corn, oh and I had fried pickles as an appetizer. The food was OFF.THE.HOOK. JUST LIKE A REAL TEXAS ROADHOUSE, NOT THE FRANCHISES ACROSS THE COUNTRY THAT TREAT IT LIKE A DENNY'S!! I come here pretty often, I'll never go to saltgrass again because that place is just ass, but I am really really really irritated that this manager cut me off, because without doing his research and coming to talk to me and just looking at my bar tab, had already assumed that I had drank enough cocktails and beers too tranquilize a small baby elephant. But that is a typical liberal for you. Being a multiple business owner myself, a word of caution to the owner of this particular franchise, you might want to reevaluate your staff. If management is directing the front liners to treat customers the way they are, then your frontliners can't be being treated very well themselves. I say send him packing, back to IHOP in Houston where he belongs. Thank you Texas roadhouse! My experience outside of prior to my departure was outstanding, and the food was exactly and better than what I was expecting!! And thank you Ashley! I don't really care that I was cut off, but you should probably get a manager that knows the service industry a little bit better, outside of a Denny's or IHOP. I haven't been to Tx Roadhouse in a few years. Came back at the request of my daughter. The location is adjacent to the defunct San Jacinto Mall. Parking is tight in front, but more is available in the back, which is a walk. I always see that it seems packed from the looks of the crowded parking lot. I am not sure why? It was a marginal visit at best. There seems to be a ton of booths in the dining area. Our waitress greeted us with a drink order and asked if we wanted an appetizer. We went with the fried pickles. The menu is typical, and the prices seemed to be a tad less than competitors in the area. I went with the 8 oz NY Strip with a side of mashed potatoes with cream gravy and a house salad with ranch. The server asked me if I wanted everything on it, and I said that would be fine. It came out with avocado and bacon and cheese. I thought to myself, this is nice for these to be included. My daughter asked for a Caesar salad and was asked if she wanted everything on it, including the bacon, cheese, and avocado. My daughter got an 8 oz Sirloin dinner, and my wife had a grilled Chicken Caesar Salad. The meal itself was ok, and nothing really stood out as fantastic. The bill was presented with no offer of dessert and a few surprises on it. First off, I expect transparency on all pricing upfront. I do not like being asked if I want something and not disclose to me that there is an upcharge for those items each. I also don't care for a server standing over me suggesting I leave a tip on the gift card or my credit card. I did not bring these issues up because I did not want to seem like a penny pincher. My parents love Texas Roadhouse. I hadn't been in likely years and tend to choose non chain places. But alas, we got into town late and Texas Roadhouse was open. For me, many steakhouses are just meh. We do steak at home quite often and more often than not, my man's steaks blow away anything we have in a run of the mill steakhouse. Tonight, Texas Roadhouse impressed me. I ordered the 5 oz filet medallions with a sweet potato. The steak was cooked as ordered - medium rare and so very good. My salad was legit - fresh lettuce mixed in with other greens (thank you!) and lots of veggies. I adore sweet potatoes and add some fresh cream butter - I'm in heaven. And I was. Nice job. We did wait a while for much of our order, which is why this is 4 versus 5 stars. Staff attentiveness needs some improvement, especially as the dining area wasn't remotely full. Isn't it funny that when things aren't cranking, the staff aren't, at times, either? Not alwasy the case, but for us this time, it was. Not to bad but noticeable. read more

I decided to go here after work since I had never been to Texas Roadhouse before (after 4 years in Texas!) and I had the best service! I told my server Jaden that I never been there before and one of the managers came to me and offered a sample of 4 sides and introduced herself to me (I forgot her name :/). We added ourselves to waitlist via the app when we were nearby. Once we parked and said we were all there they were ready to seat us ( no wait time). My husband and son picked their steaks. And we were brought two baskets of rolls in our party of 4 and a baby! The waiter was great, the staff was quick with tending to our table. The loaded potato skins were perfect. We at our table enjoyed chili, a salad, and all of our meals and their sides. It was a very busy night but that did not hinder our experience, even with the 3-5 birthday celebration in the restaurant. It was nice and fresh inside. The only thing I'd say, the floor under our table was very dirty upon us being seated when we arrived. read more

Sunday 2/11/24, party of two, online waitlist said 0-10 min wait. Upon arrival, no wait time- waiting area was empty. Placed our order immediately after sitting, as we knew what we were going to order. Order for ONE Medium-well steak and two sides was placed between 12:54-12:59. A VERY overcooked and dry steak arrived over 45 mins later. It was replaced, but by that time we'd been waiting for over an hour for ONE steak! The table next to us arrived AFTER us, ate, and left maybe 20 mins before us. Can't complain about service- Our server was very friendly and overall good. But this has been by far the worst Texas Roadhouse experience we've had. read more

On a recent trip to Baytown I was in the mood for some good 'Ole Texas Beef I was starving and didn't feel like a long drive in traffic to some fancy-schmancy HoustonSteakHouse so I headed over to The Texas Roadhouse in Garth Road for a good hearty slice of Meat. I can't remember if it was my second or third time there as I knew I had been there before. The hostesses at the front were very friendly and they suggested that I sit at the bar since Ashley was working and she was 'really nice'. So off I went to the bar, where I was greeted by the 'Really Cool Bartender" Ashley, who offered me a 'Happy Hour' Ice Cold Pint of ZiegenBock, walked me through the menu, offering me some of her favourites. I ordered a plate of their famous Grilled Shrimp, seasoned shrimp drizzled with garlic lemon pepper butter and served on toasted fresh-baked bread. Wow, were they good ( Good Call Ashley)!! I looked over the menu and decided on a filet mignon, grilled and juicy and served Medium-Rare, so I knew I was in for a treat. Ashley aslso helped me pick my sides, fresh steamed veggies, and sauteed mushrooms...Yum. This was one tender and delicious cut of meat Texas Roadhouse does Steak well, the food is affordable, very well presented and fresh. Priced in the middle of the road for this style of food, they are passionate about their brand and quality of the food. Food doesn't change no matter what location you're at, it's great! Especially on Wednesday, you get the price of 6oz sirloin for a 8oz sirloin with two sides! For two people, it was a $22 bill! Can't beat that. The steaks were cooked perfectly! The green beans and rice were amazing. The service was good too, straight to the point, Came by when needed too, filled our waters without asking. Our group ate at Texas Roadhouse on Garth road today (6/03/2023) . The hostess was the rudest person I've ever met. The manager came out and seated us. Our waitress was wonderful and the food was good but we won't be back as a group to that location. We were a party of 7 and went at 11am when the restaurant was mostly empty and they made us wait for a table even though there wasn't anyone in that section. We ate and left and there still weren't any more people in our section so there was no reason for the hostess to try to seat 7 people into one booth. First, I'm only giving 2 Stars because the Waitress and Hostess were sweet and nice. The Manager did come over and she was nice as well but seemed like she is newer in role (most likely not a Manager but more of a shift lead). Massive cockroach greeted us at the table. I put him or her out of their misery as I didn't want it crawling on our food. Being from Houston, I see these bad boys all the time. Disgusting, sure, but I wanted my Ribeye. Showed the waitress the dead critter on the ground, she said gross and apologized but left him their guts and all for the entire night. Steak was absolutely garbage because I can clearly tell they hadn't cleaned the grill for quite some time. I can still taste ashes as I couldn't eat another bite after 2. I tried, but the only way I can describe is, like eating out of an Ashtray, my mom was a smoker so I know smokers can relate. The Shrimp was super cold and the chili had Steak Fries in it? It was super thick and as I mixed it I noticed the fries inside. Tells me the kitchen was most likely in disarray and stuff fell in the chili. They gave us a discount, I didn't eat the Steak or Chili. They offered to replace the Steak but between the Cockroach, Ash Taste from a dirty grill, old fries in my chili and cold shrimp, I was done. We left the waitress a nice tip because it wasn't her fault and she was young probably a teenager and very sweet and I believe in taking care of people.
