My wife and I reviewed the plans and hired Solid Construction to do all four of our projects (three involving carpentry and one involving replacement of some concrete sections with decorative polished rocks in our driveway). He completely renovated two bathrooms and partially renovated my kitchen. Bathroom seem larger completely functional and absolutely beautiful. Well the quality of the work is very good one of the other things is that every day that he said he would be here he came at the time he said he would come. Professional reliability is extremely important. Every time we found something unusual it was discussed decisions were made as a team with his input as well as mine. Watching him transform these deteriorating bathrooms allowed me to develop a trust in his judgment. We started working on the kitchen and when the paintings all finished I'll post those pictures as well. When our home was built (on spec), the builder didn't do anything to ensure that the drainage (from the downspouts) was routed appropriately. Our home has a courtyard in the front, and the majority of rainwater was dumped right into the courtyard, where it ran down and across our front yard. Two other downspouts drained across the front yard as well, and the results was erosion that prevented grass from growing. I had trouble finding a contractor who specialized in this kind of work--most focus on sprinklers, gutters, or foundation work. I needed someone to bury these drain lines, including cutting the concrete in the courtyard to get the lines underground. Owens took care of all of it, including running one drain line under a sidewalk without cutting it. All of the work was done professionally, and there was no uncharge for unexpected problems, like the concrete being much thicker than expected, requiring jackhammering to get through it all. Brandon listened to what I want, and didn't try to talk me into shortcuts or options I wasn't interested in. It was an excellent experience, and Brandon offered expertise in other areas (like sod) as well. The guy is VERY busy. I'd suggest being patient, it's worth it. Great work at a fair price.

OWENS CORNING WARRANTY THAT THE TRIED TO MAKE ME PAY. I Had to go to shingles ABC-store to straighten out. 2. Plastic fascia and bird box supplied by me. 5 of the crew never seen before and treated it..... even dirtied the one I did years ago. 3. Specifically spoke about blending in the ridge vents. Again not knowing how. But later the finish crew re did with instruction to how. I gave a sample to Lankford of how to blend before they were done the first day. 4.They took down front gable vent without having a replacement. They bought a Vent from.... Not for brick house. I bought 145$ correct one. 5.Directly lied to me about satellite Dish ( gave free instructions on how) Duplex nails! 6. Supplied 80$ worth of stainless steel nails. 7.TRIANGLES ? ..... 8. Lone out my tools to do it correctly SHOWED UP NOT SCHEDULE BEEN RAINING Spent 3 hours trying not to tear out screwed in ridgevents tearing up the dirt road (told it would be leveled Not) New white drip edge MENTIONED IN FIRST VISIT HAD TO COME OUT AND REDO lead pipe boots flashings, new collar & caps, power vents and valley metal. (The dryer vent came out with black plastic TEXAS HEAT AND COLD)Remove & replace NONE WERE REPLACED JUST PAINTED AND TWO VENTS $$$ are not supposed to be painted HEAT DID TEST WITH THEIR CREW WITH IR GUN it will destroy capacitors fascia & bird house above front door (CAME BACK OUT REDONE) inconceivable left corner outside meter material out of plastic & both sides of garage door in back vertical board & paint. My wife had recently dropped wood stain and about a week prior, I had motor oil spill on my floor. I had a large area of oil and stain on my garage floor. The owner of this business lived in our neighborhood and had posted a classified notice on our Homeowner's Association page. We reached out to inquire about the price and to see an example of his work. After my neighbor visited his home, he returned to tell me that his garage was impressive and we should move forward. Prior to beginning the project, Walter, the owner, asked us to select from 16 colors for the epoxy and 8 colors for the chips. On the day that he arrived, he began by sanding my garage. This process was lengthy, but incredibly thorough. After he vacuumed the debris, he began applying the epoxy. Afterward, he applied the chips. This process was the most entertaining because he literally through them against the wall to get an even distribution. If he had told me this was his plan, I would have had significant concerns, but the results are exceptional. He worked on our houses for approximately 12 hours and cost about half of what another neighbor spent to do the same work. I can honestly say that my only regret is that I waited so long. I bought this house new and wish I had the epoxy added when I first moved in. If you are interested, I would suggest you reach out to Walter, the owner, to inquire about the price to do this work. While he charged half of what out other neighbor paid, the work will very likely depend on the size of your garage. In the exchanges we had with Walter, he was friendly and responsive.
