The inspector told me verbally over the phone that the sewer line looked pretty good, there were no breaks in the line. There was no written verbiage of a sewer line break in the inspection report, no pictures, nothing was communicated. If an inspection company states that they are not responsible for finding MAJOR ISSUES, what is the purpose of hiring them in the first place? Viking continues to take zero responsibility or accountability for their extreme negligence, errors and misinformation. Their response has been the most unprofessional and unethical that I've ever encountered. I have been advised by several parties to take legal action, which is the next step. DO NOT HIRE! MISSED MAJOR ITEMS IN HOME INSPECTIONS! I hired Viking Inspections in September to perform a home and sewer inspection. There were MAJOR items missed. The biggest item missed is the inspector did not find a break in the sewer line. The only reason that I paid for a sewer inspection was to make sure that there were no breaks in the line, and I reiterated this to the inspector. After the inspection I spoke with the inspector several times, and each time he told me that the sewer line did not have any breaks. There were no pictures of any breaks, no written verbiage in the inspection report, NOTHING mentioning sewer breaks. I later had a reputable plumbing company come to look at the sewer line, and they informed me to my surprise, there IS a break in the line, which will cost thousands to fix! I called Viking Inspections right away and gave them an opportunity to refund my inspection fees due to their negligence, as the inspector missed a MAJOR item. The owner, Jordan, asked me to send him a picture of the break in the line, that the plumbing company had taken, which I provided immediately. However I'm not sure why this picture/proof was asked to be given, as Jordan didn't use it. Their response, the most unprofessional I've ever heard, was "You should have called a plumber." What kind of response is that?! If their techs are not adequately trained to catch MAJOR issues and give incorrect information, why do they charge for home inspections?! Viking inspections is completely unethical and unprofessional. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Although I planned on meeting him around 12:30, quickly headed out door as he was okay with eta of less than 20mins. Derek did a thorough job in explaining everything. What I really like about Green Scene is their videos along with the detailed photo report. They also use thermal imaging. Long ago, I had an inspector briefly point out things and provided written report afterwards. I was definitely okay shelling out more money for a piece of mind. Derek did nitpick a bit but, with this kind of investment, nitpicking is very welcomed! He even gave me his business card, inspection/notes paper and pen in case I thought of anything once home and brain had time to digest everything. :-) Highly recommend Green Scene!

When I told him that his behavior felt intimidating, he responded that he had researched me on the "deep dark web." We then asked that our interactions remain strictly professional and limited to inspection-related matters, but he declined to agree to that boundary. The encounter left us feeling unsafe and deeply uncomfortable. We have since filed a formal complaint with the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) regarding this incident. It is our personal recommendation to stay very far from this company. Homeowners deserve respect, professionalism, and basic privacy when inviting someone into their home.

We are working quickly to close on a home in Coppell and reached out to Angel based on his excellent reviews. He truly lived up to the hype. He was able to inspect the house within 24 hours of our request and spent a thorough 3 to 4 hours going over every detail, even climbing up on the roof. There is an upcharge to include a pool inspection, but we added it because it is always better to be safe than sorry. Angel noticed things we never would have even thought to look for. After the inspection, he took the time to personally walk us through the report, answering all of our questions, and then sent a detailed copy with photos just a few hours later. You really cannot put a price on peace of mind. Highly recommend!
