Walking in, the country music on the speaker system welcomed us about the same time the Hostess did, and we were escorted to our table. There were a LOT of choices on the menu here. I was tempted by the amazing Breakfast menu, but decided upon a Chili Cheese Burger with Hand-cut Fries. Not to mention, the delicious cakes, cookies, canolis, etc. They also feature live music which adds to the ambience and chill vibe of the place. However, above all, it's the SERVICE from this restaurant that's simply phenomenal. They go above and beyond at each opportunity and it truly shows. I visited during lunch so I took advantage of the lunch burger special for $3 off. Horizon 76 turned out to be good for another entree I was craving 2 days later, so I returned a 2nd time. They sat us in the same table unknowingly and I even sat in the same seat. We also had the same waiter and he of course remembered us and our drink order from last time. How's that for customer service? On my first visit I ordered a tea and original horizon burger and added a cup of chili, which isn't really listed on the menu but they can addit to your burger for a few dollars more. I had wanted to try the bone-in burger, but they don't offer it anymore. My friend who lives in Ft Worth had not heard of this place that opened around 2020, but then again he doesn't get out much. Burger - this is a very good burger and I would put it up against the best burgers in town. I don't live here, but I bet it would be in the top 3 for any burger enthusiast that likes thick burgers. The sweet sourdough bun really makes this taste even better, not to mention when you have steak blends in your patty, it elevates it quite a bit. Fries - I've had several duck fries around the country and these were not that good. Not much seasoning at all. Tasted like typical frozen breaded fries flash fried in duck fat. Side of chili - small amounts of anything are usually tasty, this chili is no exception. Filled with beans and comes in like a shot glass. They don't give you much as a side. I guess they prefer you to order the $16 chili entree. On my second visit, my buddy and I were craving a good chicken fried steak. We decided to visit here since you rarely see filet / tenderloin as the protein in CFS, plus knowing the burger was awesome, we figured the CFS was probably good too. For my sides, I chose grilled veggies and loaded baked potato. CFS - This was a good version but I didn't really like the breading due to its color and high flour content. I prefer a darker greasier one. The meat was what I came for mainly and it was really good tenderloin pounded pretty dang thin. Not overly breaded, surprisingly. The veggie medley is truly a mix of about 8 different veggies, which you rarely see. Most grilled veggie sides are 3-4 at most. Overall, my best friend was super impressed and now he wants to return to their BBQ restaurant next door. I was also impressed, but I would come back for a burger or another entree next time.

I spoke with the owner and thanked him for supporting EVs, to which he replied, "How could I not? It's what's coming. How could I not get on board?" Even more concerning, there was a child who looked to be about eight or nine years old wearing latex gloves and repeatedly coming out to the front, apparently helping with restaurant tasks that no child should be doing. Despite having prepaid through Too Good To Go, no one acknowledged us for nearly 10 minutes. We stood in a hot dining room with almost no air conditioning while the child wandered in and out and the adult remained behind the curtain. More people arrived behind us, also with prepaid orders, until there were about 10 people waiting. We watched three other customers receive their food before us. One was a DoorDash driver, which made sense, and one woman had arrived before us. However, another woman with a very small order was served ahead of us even though she arrived after we did. When the man finally came out, we showed him our Too Good To Go order. He swiped the app, marking our order as picked up, then disappeared behind the curtain again and never returned with our food. After waiting 45 minutes in a sweltering dining room on a nearly 100-degree Texas day, we gave up. We left without the food we had already paid for. At that point, losing the cost of the meal was preferable to staying in that environment any longer. This was one of the worst pickup experiences I have ever had. Between the unsanitary conditions, the lack of staff, the presence of a child apparently performing restaurant tasks, the complete absence of customer service, and the fact that we never even received the order we had already paid for, I can say with complete confidence: We will never return.

With my order, I asked for steamed veggies, but received rice instead. I don't eat rice often, but this is the one time I was happy with the mishap. I had a small bit with the gravy and patty, delicious!! Sides: Mac Salad and Rice - I didn't order rice; instead, it should have been steamed veggies. They do have another cheesecake, which looks like a plain cheesecake, with a sauce on top. That, I will try. Spam Musubi: There seems to be more rice than what I am used to, so I cut it in half, and it made for the perfect bite. This was more than enough food; I have plenty to take to work for lunch and will have more to enjoy for dinner. I am so happy I visited.
