As a Realtor, I really appreciated how quickly Brian was able to schedule and conduct the inspection, and how fast he provided the report. He was very friendly and courteous and well presented. He was very thorough with the inspection, had high-tech thermal imaging equipment, and worked quickly and went over all of his findings with the home buyer at the end of the inspection. I like that he's very reasonable in his explanation about things that shouldn't scare a buyer out of buying thier new home. He presents it all very logically and very completely. My spouse and I went through most of the inspection shadowing Brian, and he was a lot of fun and quite humorous. We were able to ask questions, and see the issues and problems for ourselves, as well as having them documented in the report. My only misgivings about the report is that the format is rather vague and general, and doesn't really have a "checklist" approach where you get to see how many incidence of the problem arise, and if in multiple locations, where those locations are specifically. Not all deficiencies had a photo included, so immediately the seller dismisses them as unverified and vague. It made the tool a little harder to use for negotiations with the seller. In the end, I will probably have to walk through the house with the seller and point out each instance of where a window would not open, or a window didn't close all the way and thus could not be latched properly. I know all of this would take more time and limit the number of inspections he could accomplish in a day; however, if you charge a premium price, folks expect a premium product that is very specific. read more

Brian is a very nice guy, had really high hopes upon meeting him. He was over-priced compared to all other home inspectors but he was a referral. This was for a Duplex, was quoted at least $150 over the next highest inspector and was told because it'd have to be twice the work and would have to be two separate reports. Once I received the report, I felt it did not reflect his price and was missing things that were promised. He ended up putting everything under 1 report (because its a duplex and shares 1 roof and a-lot of common structures). Aside from the referral, I went with Brian because he said he would include thermal imaging and termite inspection, but in the report there was no photos or mention of thermal imaging equipment being used and the Termite WDI report was also missing from the report. There were also sections in the report that were clearly from the template, ex: "The door is not latching properly to the Door Locations" where he was supposed to change "Door Locations" to the actual location of the door. He's a very professional and a nice guy, but I would not recommend. I really wanted to give Brian 5 Stars because he is SUCH a NICE guy. I was looking at purchasing 5 units (all with their own AC) and he quoted me $525 which was very good (only one other came close to that price). However, 2 hour inspection, and took him 1 -hour to write a report (I know because he sent it 1 hour after then inspection, 55 page of which 95% were templates). Of the 5 AC units, his reviews were VERY general ie. "the indoor coil of the AC appear to be dirty and require cleaning" when I asked WHICH unit? he responded "all". But reading the rest of the report, all of it was done in the same manner, which was VERY disappointing (my realtor said it was a joke). Now, this was for an investment property - so a general overview wasn't horrible, but still not acceptable. Had is been for my own residential, this would have been AWFUL. So yes he is a professional, but I wouldn't recommend. Not as a HOME-BUYER. read more
