I feel like this place needs a major overhaul to a different eatery. TGI Fridays has quietly closed their stores throughout the US, including in our home town, so we were excited to at least have dinner there since it was such a staple of mine and my wife's childhood. Now we are not idiots, we know what we are getting with Fridays. It's nothing truly special. But we were coming in expecting a mediocre/good meal. This was nothing of that. When the waiter got our drink order, the waters came out pretty quick. Two of us ordered beer, no mixed drinks, just beer. That took about 25 minutes to get to our table... to the point where I didn't even want it anymore. My brother in law ordered a margarita, basically was all syrup which he wanted to send back for about an hour. It was finally picked up by the waitress after we were done with the food and literally got him something else by the end of the dinner! Next was the actual food. My brother in law order the Texas BBQ burger. Sounds big right? You would be wrong. The bun was a rock and the burger mimicked more of a junior bacon Cheese burger from Wendy's in size. At least that got taken off the bill. I ordered a NY Strip Rare! Due to the fact that non steak houses over cook their steaks. Should have ordered it blue because they still cooked my meat at about medium well. Just unheard of! One last thing, the service itself all together! Never once were we checked on. Our drinks came, no checking up, food came, never came back till the check came! The experience completely derailed my wife's family from getting one of their favorite desserts, he brownie obsession due to our just absolutely horrific experience. The BAD- Mother's Day night, I was told around 9:18 PM, there is a 15 minute wait. By 9:48 PM, I went back inside and told them, I was told 15 minutes and it's been 30 minutes! At this time, I was assigned a table at the back of the restaurant. They were not busy at all. I wonder why theee was a wait?! Not enough staff I guess! The GOOD- Anyways, once seated, their saving grace was that my server remembered me from my previous visit She was very courteous , friendly and pleasant! I was staying in the breakers hotel in cedar point and came here for lunch. Right away everything looked and felt dirty. There was a napkin and fries on the floor and our table felt like it hadn't been cleaned. The food came out pretty quick but was not what I expected. I got a burger and the meat was like rubber. When we walked in no one was at the host stand. A showered girl ran to the front not saying a single word she grabbed menus but still no a peep not a hi or welcome in. She started walking and we just stood there not knowing what was going on and we asked another worker if we were supposed to follow her she turned around and only proceeded to say sorry. Then kept walking to a table and stood directly infront of it while we were trying to sit down. We finally sat she still stood there and then she just looked at all 3 of us and walked away still not saying a word. Then once we sat down we heard a manger come out saying "Get your ass up you're on the clock, shoes off and everything". He proceeded to walk to another one of his employees and stated that "someone's getting fired today" and a women volunteered. Basically saying she wants to be fired. And with a manger like that I would have wanted to be to. I later heated him saying" well when your boss is coming to you saying you fucked up you better listen" this just goes on and on. Our server was absolutely amazing, she told us about the slushies and asked if we needed a couple minutes out our food in fast nothing was messed up or needed! She came in a timely manner and drinks were made perfectly. The food was good just a little tasteless and of course other comment by the manger about bringing a gun to the woods to kill a bear completely out of random. I know freedom of speech but I had two minors with me and it's a restaurant dining room as a manger 1-3 cuss words in one sentence doesn't need to be said. My friend and I have been here one time before while she was visiting. We thought the food was decent so we decided to come again. Our server Katie was cordial but maybe having an off night? The restaurant was not too busy. We browsed the menu for a bit and decided on their new apps. They definitely did not disappoint. The margarita shrimp cocktail was good with pieces of mango throughout. There is plenty of chips but the serving of shrimp cocktail left a bit to be desired considering the picture shows a full glass and mine was just half full. Truffle tot-chos were the bomb omg I would definitely order these again. It comes with a truffle aioli. My friend also got Philly cheesesteak eggrolls. I'm not a fan of cheesesteak but I tried a piece of one and it's actually very good. Overall it was good food. I will continue to come here for food and will definitely get these apps again. So as we walked to the bar, the floors were audibly sticky. You could feel your shoes sticking to the floor as you walked as well. We sat down at the bar and I noticed that it did not look clean. There were water rings from the previous guest still left there. I asked for a napkin so I could clean the bar. She must have noticed because she cleaned up my napkins after I cleaned up the bar. She took our drink order, we ordered the whiskey sour for $5. Unfortunately the drinks she made had zero alcohol. I tried mine and realized it was not what we ordered. My guest tried hers and said something to the new bartender that took Christie's place. Teresa (new bartender) re-made my guest's drink and it had alcohol in it. I ordered a completely different drink pineapple something, and it was really good! We ordered the sampler, the pot stickers were burned, and the chicken was overcooked and hard. Teresa was a great bartender. I don't know what happened to Christy (original chick), but it was apparent by her attitude and eye rolling, she didn't want to be there. I also didn't want to tip Christy, Teresa deserved the ENTIRE tip. Needless to say, we won't be back! ETA: There was a guy vaping with HUGE smoke clouds at the bar. read more

Awful service. -5 star. Wait time was an hour. The bartender said food is taking minimum of 45 minutes and the majority of the tables were empty. We sat at the bar to prevent the wait time. The bartender never acknowledged us. Though she was texting on her cell phone so she was preoccupied. I even had to go grab my own menus and 3 different sets of silverware for me alone to find a clean fork. The bar was dirty. Finally someone else came over to help and clean the counter. The entire time the bartender never even looked our way. My dinner came, never my appetizer. My salmon was $19 though the piece of fish was very tiny. They put a lot of rice. I didn't realize the bars sink was by my seat. The bartender lined up all the dirty glasses by me and washed some splashing water up on the counter by me. Still never acknowledging me. There was an employee at the bar drinking who got all of the attention of the manager, bartender, and other employees. Even though there was a lot of people waiting for empty seats and the bartender complained of no clean glasses or plates. The off duty employee that was drinking also at one point leaned over the bar to answer the phone to take an order from a customer. I asked the manger for a to go box who handed it quickly to me to only go back over to socializing with the employees. I mentioned to the manager (Zack) that I was not happy with the service and I thought that he should be focusing on the paying customers and lack of clean dishes instead of socializing with employees. He said the employees are paying too. Then said sorry and rolled his eyes at me. My boyfriend asked him for the corporate number. He gave it to him and asked him why. This made for an awful experience. People who work hard for their money should not pay for this service and lack of respect. read more

I am leaving a one star review for several reasons. I arrived with my girlfriend. Today happens to be Mother's day. So I expected a wait for a table at any restaurant. The parking lot was pretty empty. When we walked in. We were informed of an hour wait. So we sat at the bar. First reason for the one star. The female bartender with colored hair was rude and snotty. Complaining about other guests. Second reason for one star. See pics. The place was empty. Why is there a one hour wait for a table. Maybe short staffed. Ok. I guess. Told food would be minimum one hour before it exited the kitchen. Third reason. I ordered an app. And the app never showed up. The entree showed up and no one had a clue where it was at. Fourth reason is because of Zak a manager. He never came over and talked to us about the missing app. After a short conversation with my gf. He rolled his eyes and walked away. Zak is a horrible manager. He deserves to be FIRED for rolling his eyes. Fifth reason. See pics. Multiple off duty employees drinking and swearing at the bar. Including Zak the manager. He never cursed but also never left the spot the off duty employees were at. The one female even answered the phones and took orders while drinking. Unacceptable. Anyways. Shame on them. There is a reason you see a good number of these going out of business. Arrived on a not busy Thursday at almost 9pm. Stood and waited to be seated for almost 10 minutes. There were maybe 25 folks in the whole restaurant. Waitress was not knowledgeable about drink selection then looked put out when I asked her to please find out about a beer she had no clue about that was on tap. It took 15 minutes to get our drinks. Then I asked for a glass and after another 15 minutes I went to the bar and asked the bartender for one myself. Smh. About 40 minutes we have nothing. My friend ordered a side salad ribs n spinach. I just got an appetizer. She never came back until the food showed and brought my friend the salad with her entree. Then tried to argue that that is normal. Nope side salad comes first or at the minimal at least ask the customer if they want the salad first. My friend comes to this fridays at least once/week. And why are you trying to argue with your customer instead of making her happy? Food was actually OK but by this time who wants it and we were plenty unhappy. I asked about a birthday dessert for me because my birthday was a few days back. Fridays always does a free dessert for their card members. She says we only do a scoop of ice cream now. Haven't been to this TGI Fridays in several years due to the last two times I was there --I walked in and nobody ever came to seat me and I walked out. I happened to be in the area and I said I'll give it one more shot and it was just OK. Nothing to write home about, nothing to tell mom that I did but I will tell you. Walked in. There was a host waiting to seat me but I almost didn't go in because they had a sign in the window that says we do not accept Apple Pay or Cash. Now the word below cash was Pay but it was covered over by a decal on the window, so it looked like they don't accept cash. Advised them of this oversight and was Seated right away. Got drinks right away took my order right away but now they're apparently serving mashed potatoes with everything and if you've ever been to this place and dined, the mashed are always cold And you gotta send them back every time so I ordered my chicken and shrimp and opted to go with broccoli instead. Experience was OK except for the 30 something female sitting at the bar on her cell phone thinking she owned the restaurant and not only did we hear her entire life story we had to hear it with some of the most raucous language. She should've looked around and seen the rest of us; she was not alone!!!! Meal was just OK again, nothing to write home about but server was very attentive, very pleasant so that was a plus, and there were signs that on April 20-something they're selling the fixtures/chandeliers, and what not what not because they're remodeling. as I sat there and looked around and looked up boy do they ever need a remodel--holy Toledo dirty as all get out --stained ceilings and flooring and the building isn't that old since the last remodel. The management is rude and controlling over the staff. The management speaks to their employees as if they are individuals below them and insignificant to the business. Ate at Friday's today w/ the wife's team from work. We had a nice day of bowling and dinner. I ordered the Fish n Chips on this trip and they were really, really delicious. The french fries were perfectly cooked and seasoned. I think these are some of the better fries I've had anywhere. The fish was cooked well in a delicious batter and it was light and tasty. Very good! The service was excellent, but even though we called ahead, we still waited about 15 minutes for our table. But that's okay because there were 13 of us. Recommend! read more

My husband and I used to frequent this place and figured we'd check it out. I should have read the reviews (shame on me right?). I put us on the reservation list for 30 minutes prior to arriving. Got there a little before. Manager comes out and says it will be a 30 minute wait. I tell him I have a reservation. He explains he's but Yelp doesn't explain that he "had two servers call off" and this is why he hates the online scheduling. Restaurant is basically empty and one party of two sits outside waiting. They got the same message as we did. Says he'd call me when table is ready. Why couldn't he call me and tell me they couldn't honor my reservation at the scheduled time? He actually didn't have the correct number but he didn't even try so that's a moot point. Anyways, after sitting for a few minutes, my husband says "we are setting ourselves up for bad service aren't we?" We decided to leave. There were maybe 10 cars in the parking lot and again very empty inside. Last thing...I asked the manager if we could sit at our table instead of outside while we waited. He says no. Couldn't be Covid and he gave no reason why. If you inconvenienced me, why not have us sit and give me a pop as a courtesy while you work to get staff in? Just bad service. Tgi Friday's to me has good, not exactly great food. The hostess that took my table's drink order was short & rude. She was so awkward when she came up to my table telling us our server was busy & she'd be taking our drink orders. That was so weird especially since our server came 2 mins after the hostess took our drink orders. Anyway....our server was really nice & very attentive. I ordered the Jack Daniel's Mixed Grill with the grilled chicken & half a rack of ribs. I also got a side of the parmesan steak fries & the mac & cheese. I could have on passed both of the sides especially, the mac & cheese. The chicken & ribs were good because of the jack daniel's sauce that I love! For dessert, my table got the whiskey cake...oh my goodness, it was good! It's a toffee cake with pecans & it also came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Overall, I like Tgi Friday's for the Jack Daniel's dishes to me, is their signature for this chain. Tgi Friday's isn't the greatest but, it's good for nights when you just don't know where to eat out at. Better than Applebee's in my book but, that's just me. read more

The two apps we had, spinach & artichoke dip, and potstickers were tasty. Nothing overly spectacular, but the solid quality that I expect from Friday's. The drinks were surprising too, very presentable and typical of what you'd expect at a place like this. Sweet but tasty and a good amount of alcohol. Overall a good experience. read more

This place has gone down like a sinking ship the food quality is horrible except a select few items. I had the black bean burger with avocado it was great . My wife had the cajun shrimp pasta it was good . The appetizers were horrendous the bacon nachos they served us had stale chips tasted like the Morton salt factory and cheese and probably undercooked bacon didnt look done . The chicken quesadilla had 2 slithers of onion no pico on the side nothing . Service is ok here friendly staff but slipping on the basics like napkins on the table wowww 4 napkins for 2 people with the endless app deal . I should say the endless slop deal Im a big food person and I have been cooking since I was 9 and this is the worse of any of the corporate restaurants Ive seen. Came in for a late lunch with a friend on a Sunday. Lauren, our server, was great! She gave us time to figure out what we wanted, without abandoning or harassing us. I wanted another beer, but the keg was tapped. She kept coming over to update me; the keg was getting changed, the keg was changed but all foam, it's almost ready... Finally, I got my perfect pour! Some places just leave you hanging. I really appreciated this service. The food was also great. The wingman's burger had a lot of flavor without being overwhelming to the taste of the burger itself. Went there 02/29/2020 for a birthday dinner for my sister table of 9 we waited an hour to be seated even though they told us it would be a 20-25 minute wait. Once seated we waited another 25 minutes before I got up and ask the lady who was seating people for a MANAGER (Zach never came) because I wanted to know why no one ever came to take our drink order and why was it so DIRTY and we hadn't even ordered yet (tenders and fries napkins and straw wrappers and a broken bottle of A1 sauce on the floor) and the lady came back and said the manager said he is looking for a server for you all now but I can take your drink orders. When our sever came it was (Gabby) and she was the best part of this horrible night she gave us 2 free appetizers and apologized for the wait!!! Then when our food and appetizers (2+2+2=25) came out my loaded fries had someone from the kitchen hair in it and Zach came and talked with me apologized and gave me a free appetizer for my next visit my sister (birthday girl) food came after everyone else was about done eating. They claimed they forgot to bring her food out and it was under the burner all that time (Since they brought the rest of the plates) her food was burnt and dried out and my other sister didn't even get her food until we were getting ready to leave and they boxed it up for her. Then Zach gave us all $10 off our next meal and apologized for everything. Once I got home my order of quesadilla I had to go (I NEVER even opened the bag until I was home) as i was eating the quesadillas there was a piece of plastic in it. Horrible Horrible Horrible service and I wish the BBB Would go and check this place out I have uploaded pictures. From start to finish we were there over 3 hours and the area never got cleaned up.
