Came here with a girlfriend for lunch today and had a very lovely experience! Our waiter and waitress were extremely friendly and seemed to pay extra attention if we were okay or needed anything. I ordered the new coconut water boba drink with the mango!! Yummy!! You must seriously try this every mango boba was an added burst of yumminess!! For lunch we both ordered the same thing garlic chicken and shrimp but instead of the mashed potatoes we got the Jasmine rice pilaf! This dish was seriously so delicious. The aroma matched the taste to perfection. The manager came out and asked us if everything was to our liking and we told her indeed everything was! One thing I'd say I love about TGI FRIDAYS is they have certain dishes where you can have the option to make gluten free which was perfect because my friend does not eat gluten! So that was an added plus! From the staff to the decor to the food definitely 5 stars! I did not have 1 complaint. Had a previous bad experience at this location and decided to try again. Went there with my hubby during the week during the afternoon. Quiet with a few other customers. We sat in the bar area. Was seated right away and the waiter/bartender Jose came right over to serve us. He answered all of our questions about the menu and even explained the reward system to us. (had a coupon for a free meal due to our rewards). He was very polite, friendly and couteous and attentive. The food was warm not hot but was excellent. A very plensent afternoon. One hour and 45 minutes for chicken tenders and fries. It was the evening of Christmas Day when I called in a take out order of chicken tenders and fries with a dessert cake. The order was made at 5:50 PM and I was told the order will be ready in about 45 minutes. I arrived at TGI Friday's at 6:30 PM and was told my order is going to be a while and to wait in my warm car! I went back to my car and waited an additional 20 minutes and went back into the restaurant to find my order still was not ready. At one point I was told numerous orders are ready and they just need to be packaged and will be brought right out. As I was waiting I realized the majority of the people waiting and being serviced were Uber, Lyft and DoorDash. Every time I inquired about my order I was told the orders are being brought out in the order they were completed. I asked were the orders being made in the order they were received and I was told no! After being fed up with continuously being told my order is coming with no time given as to when, I found manager Ryan and explained the situation. Ryan apologized and explained they were short staff and he will take care of it. I explained it was not right to treat customers in this manner and that it's best to just close the take out part of the restaurant if it could not be managed efficiently. The young lady working the take out area seemed not to be concerned with how long I was waiting and continued to service me second to Uber, Lyft and DoorDash. Just before speaking to Ryan, the manager, I asked the young lady how much longer and I was not given a clear or decisive answer. As soon as I was done talking to Ryan he went into the kitchen and my order came out in 5 minutes. Ryan was polite and courteous and did not charge me for the order. While this was appreciated it did not make me feel better as far as how I was treated. I understand it was Christmas and staff was short but its how you handle the situation that matters. You don't have customers waiting with no end in site after you promised a time and that time came and went an hour ago and you don't put Uber, Lyft and DoorDash customers before other paying customers. read more

Didnt have a great experience. Went on a friday night around 9pm, not packed at all but still servers were crazy busy. Food was blah. Mozzarella sticks were good though. But I was turned off when I got my burger without the top bun, & to top it off the buns were super small so my whole burger was a hot mess . I went to this place before and was somewhat pleased. I went with family last night 4-22-17. Service was terrible. I am not sure what the problem was but a family of 4 getting their food at different times is not acceptable. I can see if it was a minor two apart but it was literally 15 mins apart. Mine didn't even come out until the rest of my family was finished eating!!! I ended up cancelling my portion of the order...Please save yourself the trouble dont bother going if you want to eat together as a family...... I never write reviews but something has to be said!!! I have gone to the Middletown NY one for years and I will NO LONGER BE RETURNING!!!!.... Worst experience ever!!! I've never had an issue with this place for all the years I've came here.... went here because it was my fiancé birthday and we were with his family. We were waiting to be seated for a half hour then a family walks in (with the same amount of people just different color skin) now we think he is just telling them the same thing it's going to be a little wait... but no!... They got seated right away as we are still waiting they had no table saved....nothing!! and he did this right in front of us! (at this point it's been 45 minutes).... we go to ask why they were seated before us when he clearly knew we were next to be seated.... the MANAGER (Name is Ryan) said "he can choose who he wants To seat" so we asked why are you being so biased about this. He goes "because I can" He was so rude and extremely racist! We were so shocked That this came out of his mouth so blatantly!! At this point it wasn't about the seating it was about what he said that really hurt us!!! We ended up going to outback which is right next door and had an amazing time!!! am very surprised that this restaurant does not have more reviews. i have gone here over a period of 4/5 years and it is always very, very busy. obviously, a favorite of locals. the servers are friendly, lots of draft and bottled beers. the menu is pretty much chain/pub type food, but i've never had a bad meal here and they do make outstanding fries. definitely worth a try if you're staying at the hampton inn or micro, or just passing by. happy trails. read more

Well, I'm done. Although close by for lunch and dinner, I just can't deal with the service delays any longer. Today at 11:05 I jumped out of a meeting and called to order a salad. I was told 10 minutes. Great, just enough time before my next meeting. I arrived at 11:25, 20 minutes after I ordered, and had to wait another 7 minutes while they prepared my order. Very poor service - simple foods take a very long time to come out. Some staff seem to not like their job here. TGIF itself has a very bad reputation with service in my experience, not just at this location. Made manager aware of issue and she gave 2 free apps (with purchase of entree) cards. I have no idea what's going on with this place. I used to be so good when I was a little kid, but it's absolutely disgusting nowadays. Me and my family decided to go to this place for lunch because we wanted to spend time with each other. When we got in the restaurant it took a while for us to get seated, around 20 minutes. When we got seated it took 5 minutes for the waitress to take our orders. I ordered a chicken basket and my parents ordered a plate of Nachos with cheese, guacamole and anchovies. It took about 40-50 minutes to get our orders and when we finally got our food, it was cold and it tasted like it had been left out for multiple hours. We called the waiter over and submitted a complaint and asked for the food to be taken off the bill. We then received the main corse a few minutes later. It was also rock cold. We called the waiter over a complained again. She then called the manager over. At first I thought this woman was nice and understanding but then she said that apparently the food was ready 20 minutes before we got it and the waitress was never notified that it was done. She then proceeds to blame the whole thing on the waitress and says that she would have a talk with her later. Do not recommend this place. Stay away. Go to the Outback Steakhouse across the road. The food took an inordinate length of time to come out; this is not a high end eatery, one expects quicker service. But the worst thing was (we were seating across the bar) was noticing a waitress shovel some ice cubes that had fallen on the counter with her bare hands before picking up the drink & disappearing to serve it...!!! 4 of us are sitting at the bar right now. We have been here for half an hour and there were 9 open tables in the bar room. We were told there was a half hour wait for a table. There are currently still 6 open tables in the bar room. There doesn't appear to be anymore people waiting, I don't really understand why they couldn't seat us. We were not very impressed by our experience at this TGI Friday's restaurant. We were staying at a hotel located close by and walked over for dinner on a Thursday evening, well after the dinner rush was over. The restaurant was mostly empty, with only a couple other groups of customers. Surprisingly, we were seated at a table right next to the kitchen, even though there were many tables and booths open in quieter areas of the room. Our server then came to take our drink order, but was not familiar with their draft beer selection and had to refer us to the printed menu. We ordered two draft beers from the menu. After a couple minutes, our server returned to inform us that the beer that my wife had ordered was not available. That's fine, she then ordered a different beer. Then a couple more minutes later the server returned again and said that my beer choice also was not available. In my experience, many customers at TGI Friday's order beer with dinner, so one would expect that the server would be familiar with the beer menu. One would also expect that the bar staff would keep the servers informed about which products are not available. The food itself was fine, typical for what one would expect from a TGI Friday's. I am sure that this restaurant gets a lot of business from customers staying at the close by hotels, so maybe the management does not really care if they get any repeat business. However, we do care about things like customer service, and we won't return to this TGI Friday's location. read more

Friday's... more like Monday's. Took awhile just to get our order taken and even longer to get the combo appetizer on a slow Thursday around 1pm. The combo itself was beyond mediocre. Potato skins suck. I ordered the turkey avocado blt. The bread was hard as a rock that I couldn't even eat it. I asked the waiter if this was the way it's supposed to be. He said yes because they toast it but didn't offer additional options. I would rather have had non toasted bread instead.. but whatever. Also strange that my bread was toasted but my sandwich was completely cold and the cheese wasn't melted at all. My boyfriend got half a rack of ribs. He thinks they sucked too. Went to Fridays with a friend for a change of pace. I found the menu very confusing when we decided to choose entree plus dessert or starter. I thought I was paying $10.99 or $12.99 but because I picked from the wrong part of the page it was $16.99. I didn't want dessert but if I was forced to pay for it, I took it home. I had some chicken dish with pasta, red peppers, and articokes. My friend had the salmon. I was not impressed with the food and probably won't go back. I waited but she didn't return, probably hoping that I would have left already. I asked a different server to find my waitress. I normally have a great time at TGI Fridays, but last night I came in as a party of 4 and our service was terrible. The waitress was fantastic, but our food and drinks took way too long to be served. Food took 30+ minutes to come out, and they some how managed to serve my Fiancé a burger that was raw on the inside when he asked for it well done. I'm not exaggerating when I say this burger was raw either, it wasn't just rare, it was still mooing on the plate. When I sent the plate back and asked for the manager, the manager didn't even apologize for the inconvenience. She said "it'll be right out" as she passed us and never returned after the new plate was sent out. It was like she saw a table of young people and thought she could get away with still charging us for a raw burger and not even apologizing. I asked for her to come back and demanded she took it off the bill, she caught and attitude and argued with me over it. She told me that they "cook their burgers medium rare" as if the waitress didn't ask him how he wanted it cooked, and also argued that they were training a new chef. She argued that back and forth with me at least 4 times before she finally agreed to take it off the bill. It's not my problem that they are training someone new, it's my problem that my burger came out raw and the manager didn't apologize or comp the item without a full on arguement. If a customer asks for the meat cooked well done, it should 100% be cooked to order and a mistake as huge as giving a customer a raw burger should be fixed & taken off the bill without a fight. The food at this location is good, but unfortunately the service is poor. I ordered salmon, with an add-on of shrimp to go. The shrimp was missing from my order although I was charged for it. The manager was unapologetic for the oversight and said it could take up to 7 days to refund my card. Can't see myself returning anytime soon. read more
