Service is not as I expected, it took a long time to get served. When we got greeted it seemed like it bother them that my husband and I were at there restaurant. Food: I have been disappointed on three occasions now! This is a Colorado mini-chain, with each location varying in quality. This is the worst of the chain (the best one is in Denver on Broadway). The pad thai resembled more of a ramen-type soup. Way too much runny sauce in the bowl (really was like a soup). Lacked the various nuances of spices found at their other locations. Their curries also are unimaginative, and very much dumbed-down for an American palate. Also, all their entrees are way too sweet, need to be more savory. Overall, three strikes and you're out! Got delivery here through GrubHub. Took an hour to get there, even though they were only 1.5 miles away. Pad Thai was awful. No flavor except for sweet. Cheers for another expansion from Denver. This is a small space, but nicely decorated and conveniently located near all the Chapel Hills shops. The food is good; I tried a variety of dishes but especially loved the gyoza appetizer. But here's the kicker. I was surprised to see that the beer I ordered was only listed as 25 cents on our bill. I thought surely they left off a '3' and a '.' (the menu list price) But no, in fact, that was the actual price. The people at the table next to me said that domestic bottles are on special for 25 cents from 5 to 10 PM, while imports are 50 cents. Did you hear me???? 25 cent beer??? Meh. Our waitress was the highlight of the visit. She was very sweet. I got the panang curry which is my favorite food & I sent it back because it was runny and bland. My daughter got the chicken lo mein which was acceptable. I traded my panang for a curry duck which I also didn't eat. It was too sweet, too mushy and lacked in a big way in the savory flavor that is si important in a Thai curry. I've never sent back a curry anywhere before, so that was am experience. Oh well. Lucky I found this one, easy on/off I-25. The happy hour is $1.50 beer when you order an entree. I believe the hours on happy hour is 4-7, not 100%. It not just cheap beer either, I had Tsingtao and noticed Guinness also. The entree I ordered was the drunken noodles with tofu. It was very flavorful and a huge portion that I barely finished. We order delivery from Thai Basil every few weeks. I found them via GrubHub and love that they deliver for free for a minimum order of $10. Given that we have virtually no delivery of any sort in Rockrimmon, I love to have this choice. They are not the best Thai for sure, but it's hard to beat delivery vs. NO DELIVERY. ^__^ My go-to are Panang Curry, Vietnamese spring rolls and chicken lemongrass soup. I have tried several other menu options and I was not too impressed. So I have since stuck with these choices. My husband has chosen many dishes so far and is not impressed at all. He finds that all dishes tastes sweet. He did like the mussels appetizer though and always orders fried dumplings too. So that's it. It would be a meh if there were more choices for delivery in our area, but there are none, so it gets bumped up to A-OK ;-) read more

This was absolutely one of the worst restaurants I've ever been to. Absolutely horrible service. When we were finishing up our food, the waitress came up by and gave us our check. A few minutes later, the waitress came back and nudged the check in our faces again. This happened once more before we didn't appreciate it anymore. We were planning to give a generous tip, but after this we decided to give no tip. When we gave no tip, the waitress looked at us and said, "No tip?" So, out of generosity we gave a dollar as a tip. And then she started to say that , "Only a dollar?" We were very furious walking out of this restaurant. Would not recommend at all, there are many other good Thai places to eat. I'm so sad. Thai Basil used to have a location near Park Meadows Mall in Centennial that was my favorite Asian restaurant. The decor inside was beautiful and the food was fresh and full of flavor. When I saw one here in the Springs I was excited to get some fresh full of spices food but was sorely disappointed. The service was EXTREMELY slow and I was always out of water and the food was just alright. Was not what I was used to with the other restaurant and left a very little impression. The food at Thai Basil is usually exceptional in Denver and Park Meadows. Unfortunately, the food here was just awful. My daughter had bugs in her food. The sesame chicken had old pieces of chicken that made it very crunchy and hard as wood to eat. The vegetables were soggy and gross. The service is terrible and inattentive. Absolutely love this place - we've been coming here for years. The panag curry is my favorite comfort food. I'm not usually a curry person, but it blends sweet and spicy so well that it is just irresistible. My husband loves the happy hour for $1.50 good quality beer. We went here on my birthday and I tried the mango sticky rice for the first time... I've never had better sticky rice in my life. Absolutely flawless. You've got to try it! My only complaint is that recently they've been playing the most bizarre music - its like Top 40 from 10 years ago. Think 'Temperature' by Sean Paul and 'Fergilicious' by Fergie. It was so odd in a Thai restaurant that it made us laugh a lot, but I think either turning it down a bit so we can hear each other or putting on something a little less taste-specific might be a good thing. :) read more

This used to be my absolute favorite place. The beef Vietnamese bowl is super good. But we went here for dinner tonight and the service was AWFUL. The menu was snatched away from me before I was even done ordering. The waitress looked at me blankly and said "what do you want?" I'm appalled by the service here now. The dishes were slammed on our table as the waitress sped by. Also, the water tasted like it was from the toilet. I can still taste the lead and iron from the pipes. This was the first time I've tried this restaurant and I was pleasantly rewarded. The wonton soup was among the best I've ever had. This is a simple soup but so many people get it wrong. There were a lot of wontons and the broth was very tasty. I also had the coconut shrimp and potstickers - these were very good also. I've been seeing some friends eat here from time to time and today I wanted to try the Thai Iced Tea, and so I ordered the Thai Spiced Soup, and Thai Basil Chicken. Since I have to study for an exam coming up I did delivery and timed it. It took about as much time as I expected from my location to theirs and prep time. It was about a 28min drive time including food cook time and when the food came it was still warm! I was happy with how much food there was, but worried that it might be too much for how little I paid in a grand scheme of business. The Soup was super good, but had too many mushrooms for one person to eat alone, but then again I also don't like mushrooms. As for the Thai Basil Chicken I was in love with it! I usually actually hate Thai food because I do not like peanut sauce, but there was none on it and so that was a good start for me. Ate dinner there last nigh (5/13/16). I was worried we would have to wait as it was early evening but surprisingly we were able to be seated right away. This is an unassuming small hole in the wall type of place but we have been eating here for years. The staff is always friendly and attentive. Have never had a bad meal here whether eat in or delivery. We always seem to take home leftovers as the portions are good sized. What happened to this place? Last couple times have been so disappointing. We used to eat here a lot but probably won't again. This time all the vegetables had a very strong chemical taste..? The lettuce in the wonton soup and the cabbage slaw salad both had a very strong chemical taste. Also is there supposed to be soggy iceberg lettuce in wonton soup?? I'm not sure if they are spraying their vegetables with chemicals to make them stay "fresh" longer, but something just definitely wasn't right. We will stick with Thai Mint in the future. read more

We had dinner on 5/17/2014. We had the Lemongrass Mussels for and appetizer and they were delicious. I had the Orange Beef and my husband had the Thai Basil Chicken. Both were delicious. They had the perfect amount of spice and flavor. Very generous portions, had a nice lunch the next day. The wait staff were amazing, everyone was checking to see if everything was ok. The wine selection was limited but we were told they are in the process of updating their wine list. I did have an enjoyable glass of wine with dinner though.
