The owner/staff are super nice and funny. Over all just great people. Stuck in the back of a run down strip mall but a hidden gem none the less. I've been ordering Pho take out for years and years. My go-to is the beef combo bowl. Comes w/it all, sliced steak, tripe, sliced short rib meat, jalapeños, bean sprouts, your traditional noodles, a chive and onion mix, and of course the Sriracha and duck sauce mix. I only wish they had the traditional broth that is continuously cooking, but understandably I understand why they don't have that but still amazing in my definite go to then and now to this day. read more

Hidden in a strip mall lies this amazing pho spot. It may not have the fanciest ambiance, but the pho is great! I was happy that they offered a vegetable broth version because that's not always easy to find. My pho has delicious tofu, broccoli, and all of the traditional topping and ingredients. Really like this place. Staff are always so nice but unfortunately because of Covid it is more of a self order type for takeout mostly. They still have tables and chairs in there for dine in but haven't seen anyone sit and it. They only have 1 size pho now but highly recommend the rare need Pho with extra bean sprouts and Jalapeño peppers. The first time I dined in at Pho Buddy, at the end of May, was the first time I had their bo luc lac. It was FANTASTIC; tender and seasoned well! Surely one of the best bo luc lacs I've had! Yesterday was my 2nd or 3rd time back. While still DELICIOUS, it was not nearly as tender as it was the first time I had it. Absolutely still worth getting! It comes with a little cup of pho broth. The drinks are excellent as well! The smoothies are very fresh. The salted cheese iced coffee is to DIE FOR, don't judge a drink by its name! As mentioned in previous reviews, Pho Buddy is open for dine in- although only one other couple and one gentleman opted to do so during my boyfriend's and I's dinner. Doordash orders were steady. The tables are covered in thick paper, like the kind kids do their school posters on. All silverware, plates, and cups are plastic or styrofoam. These guys do Pho and a few side dishes, some interesting "cheese tea" which I will have to try one day, and some tasty (I tried them) squid rings. This place takes the server pretty much out of the picture. We didn't even get waters until we ordered off of the website on our phones. There was no physical menu. You have to scan the barcode which links to a site etc. In my humble opinion, if I have to do this work, do not expect a tip. Otherwise, hey this place was pretty decent! I got there about 45 minutes before closing but was told that I could only order takeout. I was then hoping to be able to just sit at a table (no service was fine for me) but told I couldn't. I ordered anyway since I had made the trip, and would eat in the car. I ordered the vermicelli rice noodle salad with pork. This is not your typical Vietnamese vermicelli salad, and I wish I could say it was better than a typical vermicelli salad but I can't. It was an imitation of a real good one. This had only shredded carrots, shredded romaine lettuce, the noodles, and pork meat. No bean sprouts. No mint or cilantro. No cucumber. No chopped peanuts. No radish. And the sauce to pour on top was not a traditional fish sauce, but was some super-salty concoction of unknown origin. It was disappointing; a bit boring and not what it should be. Combination pho. For someone who's been feeling under the weather the broth did exactly what I needed it to. Over all an average pho place however slightly pricey . Personally not a fan of the sauce provided with the spring rolls but that's just personal preference. Service was good and everyone was nice and respectful. Having been to some incredible pho establishments I wouldn't recommend this as a must go but if you need a late night pick me up I don't think this is a bad spot to stop and eat. Their vermicelli noodles are disgusting and extremely low effort. All you get is slimy extremely over cooked noodles that melt and break apart upon grabbing with a utensil, barely any lettuce, and over sauced and sweet meat. This restaurant seems to be run by a twenty something female and teen male who are catering to their own tastes. The music is loud Asian pop. All the boba drinks are made from syrups and powders. The fried rice is inedible. It tasted like overcooked eggs. The vermicelli bowl was just noodles, iceberg lettuce, and overcooked meat. Sooooo bad. Had the rate beef pho and my wife had the chicken with broken rice. I know covid 19 is causing havoc, but we were the only people in the restaurant and it was slow. Also, the food was okay at best. I am Absolutely blown away by this place. I live in this neighborhood and we don't have quality restaurants in the area compared to the gentrification up in north town... This place is in its own class of food. I will eat here as long as I am in the area and will bring all my people here as long as it's open!! One large order was enough for my roommate, and me too- he has a huge appetite. I order shrimp fried rice for a next day leftover lunch. Pho at home? Say no more! First time grub hubbing and it came so fast!!! The food was so hot still. Now, let's get to the food. I got my family bo tai pho. It was soooooo yummy! I also got a bahn mi for my husband. I forgot to take a picture before it was gone. It was delicious! I can't wait to go and sit down here. Everything was so perfectly packaged for easy use! If they pay this much attention to to go orders, I can only imagine what it is like when you dine there. Without a doubt, we will be coming! I heard that the boba here is amazing as well. Rainy day and needing some comfort food. I've had Pho from all over the world and this place I rate slightly above average. I order spring rolls, squid, pho biet, and a honeydew melon smoothie. The outside looks like a horrible area, the inside gives a hole in the wall with trendy music. From the looks it's nothing special. Seems to be ran by two young ladies. Very polite and nice when asking about the menu. Spring rolls were two rolls, cut in half with shrimp inside. Normal appetizer and nothing out of the norm. Taste was good and about the same as most Pho restaurants. Squid was breaded and slightly spicy. It was cooked perfect, and seemed like it may be fresh (being inland makes it a surprise). I recommend this to anyone. Pho was simple all the fixings on the side. Meat cooked in the broth and meatballs cut in half due to the big size of them. Good amount of meat and noodles. I'm not a fan of all the green onions tho. It was very good but wish maybe they had a seafood Pho on the menu. While recently visiting my brother from NC I had the opportunity to try this place. I had the #19 which is a vegetarian broth and fried tofu. As a Vegan I verified how the tofu was fried. It is just lightly pan fried in oil with no breading. This soup is Vegan friendly. YAY! The staff (family owned and operated) were helpful and friendly. It actually came highly recommended by the lady that does my pedis, she told me it was legit and she was right. I tried the Pho Tai which has always been my favorite, and is the one that comes with raw steak. I ordered a small #10, and also a 2 piece eggroll. The eggrolls were fantastic, though with the rice paper they used they didn't brown properly but they were still crispy and delicious. Then my Pho Tai came out, and I thought maybe they had made a mistake and gave me a large order but no... It was the small. It had a lot of steak and the broth was amazing. It was definitely a lot, and I was full for the rest of the day. Brought my husband in the second time, and we ordered the spring rolls and again I went with the #10, and my husband went with the #15 Pho Dac Biet (well done beef, meatballs, tendon, and tripe) sans noodles (He is on a diet, lol) and extra veggies. I had the #16 Pho Ga (chicken noodle soup) which was a different order from what I usually get (pho with rare beef steak). I was impressed by the flavor of a seemingly plain bowl -- a good sign. A good bowl should never run you a high bill and this place serves food noodles at a humble price. I'm also happy to see another boba spot in Colorado Springs since I love this drink and miss it from California. Try something new if you've never had it before. I must say I love Pho and so does my son. So it was only a matter of time before we ended up in a restaurant that served it. I must say we definitely weren't disappointed. I ordered the p15 which was the Pho with beef tenderloin, meatballs and tripe. With a side of fried egg rolls. Everyone seasons their Pho differently and I was taught to add sugar along with the sriracha, hot chili paste and hoisin sauce (no lime for me ). And as I prepared our meal everything just smelled heavenly. The egg rolls were fried perfectly and liked the translucent look inside the egg roll. As it wasn't over fried and the wrapping was perfect along with the sweet chili sauce. They have met all my expectations in a pho place: excellent pho broth, tasty bubble tea drinks (they have AvOCADO!), well rebounded spring roll full of protein paired with a sweet/savory/nutty sauce, hearty rice dishes, homey/relaxing ambience and what tops the experience is their top-notch customer service. Food: They have a pretty decent selection of food items and teas/smoothies. I ordered the grilled chicken combo and a Salted Cheese Milk Tea. Unfortunately the vegetables were not pickled, there was a little cilantro, but only a few leaves, and worst of all - mayonnaise! I'm sorry, but that isn't bahn mi. That is a tasty sub sandwich. Tried this place because the one I usually go to on this side of town was closed. Walked in and immediately knew I wasn't going to enjoy my time here. It has a weird smell and their tables aren't clean. I left with sticky spots on my pants. I really wish I didn't tip 20% because it's not like the employees do anything for you besides roll your food out on a cart. You have to get your own sauces, napkins, utensils, and clean up after yourself. They bring you your food in a plastic bowl and leave lids out if you want to take it to go. Talk about lazy service.
