    Thai iced tea

I started with the shrimp salad rolls of course. If it's on the menu I'm trying it to test out their peanut sauce. I ordered the beef drunken noodles and they were pretty flavorful. The server recommended the Thai basil fried rice so I'll put that in my to do list for next visit since I was in a hurry this time around. Food was tasty enough that I'll gladly return again. Thai iced coffee was good pretty but very sweet I'll try the Thai iced tea next time.

Good, but didn't blow me away! I ordered the Chicken Pad Thai and it was easily a big enough portion for leftovers. It was good, but I'd probably order something different next time. The workers were really friendly though, and service was quick!

    Drunken Noodle

Thai Basil has been a favorite for years for me. The way they make noodle dishes has long been a go-to, and I find myself comparing other restaurants to this one. The atmosphere is nice, but not too upscale. The prices reflect the same. The staff is always kind, and quick to serve. If you're a noodle lover like me (specifically I'm all about the Drunken Noodle) come try Thai Basil - I don't think it will disappoint!

At the end of a long and rainy day, we wanted a scrumptious meal and Thai Basil was close to where we stayed. Unfortunately we should not have chosen the place not just based on proximity. There were decent set of dishes, but their green curry was watery and when we pointed out, the response the server gave was appalling. She didn't even apologize or fix it. She was like, yeah it's light but I didn't cook, seriously? Is that Joe one responds to feedback on food? We requested her to communicate our displeasure to the chef. She left and never came back :( she just came back to give us the check. No apology, not feedback from chef. To the management team, why do you think anyone to choose a place this ?

    Peanut sauce delight

I have been there off and on since it opened. It's a solid Thai restaurant but unfortunately I don't have any standout memories of it. Ate the peanut sauce delight, the chicken, vegetable dish covered with peanut sauce. For lunch was served with a small portion of white rice. Portion seemed smaller than other times I ordered this but was still tasty.

Pineapple fried rice is awesome. A bit skimpy on shrimp - usually only 2 pieces. Otherwise super yummy.

Looks like it used to be a taproom. Focus is on ramen but menu also feature other core Japanese dishes, as well as a khao soi (possibly Thai owned?) Went for classic tonkotsu ramen. Flavorful broth that was actually on the lighter side, but I was down for it. Toppings include pork belly, marinated bamboo shoots, corn, green onion, red ginger, nori (seaweed), and a perfectly boiled egg. Noodles had a good bite to them and were prepared well. Overall really solid.

The atmosphere was wonderful and you can see the owner put money into the decor to show a bit more class and design. I ordered the PP wings to start and I gotta tell you, you need to try these!! Soo good, with a nice crisp, breading and unique sauce. The Tongkatsu Ramen was really good in all aspects. I love the corn and the eggs, the pork and broth had nice flavorings. I ordered mango juice, which was a nice treat. They even served water to my table while seating me; in a tall carafe, which was a nice touch of class. Great food, good prices, very friendly service and you definitely have to try the PP wings!!

The food is consistent and the owners, Bobby & Tannie, are amazing cooks and dedicated to our LO community. They are always giving back to our community by donating proceeds to our local school fundraisers and other charities. Here's what we order: green papaya salad, pad Thai or pad see ew, panang curry, tom kha or tom yum soup, pineapple fried rice, and I recently discovered Thai ribs which is very flavorful and to die for! The Thai ice tea is amazing here! Oh... I almost forgot; if you're a dessert lover and it's in season, check out the papaya sticky rice! We order take-out service most of the time, however the owners have recently renovated the restaurant, which now has a bar. I hope you'll enjoy your experience as much as my family does!

It made me a little sad that I was getting my order to go; but things to do, places to see. I ordered fresh salad rolls with tofu that included peanut sauce. I didn't have to wait very long. The salad roll was delicious, the peanut sauce was ample and had been warmed up and delicious! I had more than enough for my salad rolls. I'm not in Lake Oswego very often, but I would definitely dine in next time!

The prices may turn you off at first, $20-$25 a plate, in this economy, eww... BUT Buathong does you a solid by making that $20/plate stretch. Trust me when I say, as a recently pregnant woman, currently breastfeeding hungry madwoman, the plates are easily 3-4 servings per order! This place is amazing like that... Now to the good stuff- the must orders. Pad Thai! Whether you get it with their crying tiger beef or just chicken, their pad thai is absolutely delicious! The dish is always consistent and the flavor board is spot on. I hate super sweet tasting pad thai, and Buathong lays in on the smokey, subtly saucy, perfectly sweet and sour flavors of what a pad thai dish is supposed to taste like. Their thai pho is also cooked to perfection with plenty of melt in your mouth beef cuts. Papaya salad? Refreshing, flavorful, and leaves you feeling guiltless. Honestly, I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. From the amazing food to the friendly service, this restaurant is a no-brained for us when we're in the Milwaukie area.
