I stopped by Thai Cafe on my way back to Boston from Monadnock. Thai Cafe is located in a cute little downtown area, with some other restaurants and shops nearby. It's a pretty casual spot with counter service. The staff was really friendly and chatted with us about things to do in the area. The decor seemed pretty random, with various memorabilia hanging on the walls. For the food, I was really impressed with the Peanut Noodle. The curry had a unique, rich flavor with plenty of noodles and protein. I wasn't a huge fan of the Drunken Noodle, as the noodles themselves seemed to be some kind of egg noodle, not the traditional rice noodle. It did have lots of vegetables, but it didn't really satisfy my Drunken Noodle craving. I definitely prefer other spots in the Boston area, but considering the Thai options were more limited in the area, this was a decent enough option.

I've been multiple times now and the food is always amazing. I have many vegan options and my husband is always happy with what he gets too. Crisp veggies, perfectly fried tofu, and incredible flavors. The service is always friendly and helpful and it's a cozy, relaxed hole-in-the-wall eatery. You won't be disappointed.

I've been wanting to stop in and try the food here for quite some time and today I finally got a chance. Mom and I were out together and popped in to sample the menu. This is a very casual spot where you order your food and find a table. You get your own utensils and napkins and when you've finished eating you clean up your mess. But don't expect bland cafeteria style food here. This place is amazing! Mom and I both ordered the drunken noodles. I had mine with chicken and mom had hers with veggies. I had already started to eat when I remembered to take a picture. I also ordered spring rolls (you get two) and chicken satay (also two) for us to share. We both decided to have hot tea as well. The spring rolls were crispy and flavorful, the satay tasted like it had been cooked on an outdoor grill, and the tea was perfect! The drunken noodles we're cooked perfectly with small pieces of chicken all through. The spiciness was just right, although I admit I love spicy food so if you don't you may want to ask for a less spicy version. Everything is served on real plates, not paper or plastic. The young woman who took our order was extremely kind and helpful. She filled our tea cups and gave us to go covers as we left. I can't wait to go back and try something else!

Very good. We ordered the pad thai, fried rice, spring rolls, and shrimp shu mai. The pad thai was good, and the spring rolls and fried rice were excellent. The shu mai was a little unusual but I'd never tried shu mai before so maybe that was to be expected. The atmosphere is pretty basic but the service is excellent and overall we had a good experience.

It is probably the best choice for Japanese/Panasian food in the area, and I do think they're doing the best they can while catering to local tastes. The sushi was decent, and I would eat it again-- though I thought that the rice could use a little bit more seasoning. The fish was well presented, which was good. I liked the green tobikko. Super cute! I would have liked if they had offered sweet potato sushi, since that's my mom's favorite. No biggie, though. The tempura was also pretty good. The vegetables were crispy and fresh. The batter was light, which was nice. The peanut dumplings were pretty meh. The sauce was thin and kind of bland, and the dumplings were nondescript. I wouldn't turn my nose up at them, but they could have used a little bit of ginger or something to give them some extra flavor. The house special was also decent. We had asked for it extra spicy, but it wasn't even a little bit spicy. I understand, though, because the kitchen doesn't necessarily want to blow the socks off of its customers. Although I respect that, it would have been nice if it had had a little kick, since the menu said it was hot. It was like typical sweet and sour chicken with some basil leaves. The chicken was crispy, though I thought it could be tossed more thoroughly in the sauce. Overall, I liked it! Thanks!

The food was fresh and well prepared but the "spicy" dishes (Spicy Dumplings with peanut sauce &…read moresome Thai Fusion Chicken with Basil & Pineapple) were extremely bland and flavorless. My dining companion got the Sushi appetizer and said it was decent. The vegetable tempura was very good, crisp and not at all greasy. The atmosphere is gray and dismal and there was a couple nearby who was bickering loudly the entire time which was distracting. The building has seen much better days. The service was great. They are doing the best they can but the place has a definite post-covid sadness mood so we wouldn't eat in, we would get takeout (maybe) in the future but I'm not sure we would bother going there again .

As a bonus, the tofu center is still cold so you can really get complete unpleasantness with every bite. Now it is one of those downtown Concord places I circle back to whenever I am craving something brothy and comforting that still has some personality. Most visits revolve around noodle soups, and I have worked my way through a good chunk of the menu. The spicy miso ramen has a deep heat that builds instead of hitting you all at once, and the shoyu ramen is clean and savory in a way that makes you keep sipping the broth even when you are full. The Bubba pho and veggie pho are both solid, generous bowls, and the Korean noodle soup that started as a special clearly earned its permanent spot. Even the Japanese curry soup, which I expected to be heavier, if I had to nitpick I wish it had more curry flavor. My favorite order though is the spicy tantan, with a tweak. Sub the ground chicken for the soy glazed chicken. It adds texture and a little sweetness that really works with the spice. Service is friendly without hovering, and the pacing is usually spot on even when they are busy. The space itself is small, but I rarely struggle to get a table, and the bar seating is a nice option if you are solo. Portions are filling, prices feel fair, and I always leave thinking about what I will order next time.
