    Shrimp pad thai
    Pauline P.

It's a no from me. Ruby Thai Kitchen probably does well with its selection of pre-made hot food consisting of Americanized Asian food (fried rice, chow mein, orange chicken, etc.) but their "fresh" Thai food is a definite pass. The pad thai is made-to-order so I opted for the shrimp pad thai. They put it in a to-go container but didn't put it in a bag or anything so I had to pinch the sides of the container to carry it out to my car since it was piping hot when they packaged it up. The pad thai was not so good - the noodles were mushy and the flavor was much too sweet. I'm wondering if the noodles became mushy because they packaged the super hot pad thai into the container right away without poking holes in it or anything. I wish they provided bean sprouts for some crunchy texture since the noodles were all mush. I asked for it to be made spicy but I tasted ZERO spice - not even a smidgen of spice. I had to add the chili peppers myself at home. The dish was overbearingly sweet. Where was the usual tartness from the tamarind? Did they forget an ingredient or is this just how their pad thai tastes? I squeezed in the piece of lime that they provided but it was not nearly enough. I added a piece of lime twice as large that I cut at home to try to offset the sweetness of the dish. The only thing good about the dish was the shrimp. There was a piece of plastic in my pad thai which looked like it came off a soy sauce packet. It makes me wonder if they have some instant pad thai sauce in those plastic soy sauce like packets because I can't imagine why else would that piece of plastic be in my dish. This'll teach me a lesson in hoping for authentic Thai food at a mall. If a self-proclaimed Thai restaurant can't make decent pad thai, I can't trust them to make any other Thai dish.

 We Love Asian Food Here

Always enjoy the food here. Sometimes the food has been sitting awhile but overall my family loves it. (Getting take-out tonight). Favorites are orange chicken, pepper steak, noodles, rice, etc. See photo of two way combo with two types of chicken and noodles. Orange chicken lightly battered and delicious. Everything (we tried) is good.

Ruby Thai Kitchen opened recently in the former Extreme Pita/Desert Moon Cafe space in the Mall of NH food court. Each Ruby Thai Kitchen is located in mall food courts across the country and are independently managed. They offer the standard choices of steam table fast serve Americanized Asian food, which is sort of similar to the offerings at Master Wok in the same food court. They offer several Thai style meat dishes (mostly chicken choices), lo mein noodles, rice, vegetables, fried appetizers, Coke products, and bottled drinks. As for the pricing, they offer 1 Entree ($6.49 w noodles or rice), 2 Entrees ($7.49 w noodles or rice), 3 Entrees ($8.49 w noodles or rice), and Kids Meal ($5.99 with 1 entree, rice or noodles, & small soft drink). Free samples are given out. This Ruby Thai Kitchen is very special and different than the other mall locations I've been to which only offer the precooked steam table food. This location also has an open grill area, which serves up fresh cooked food including Pad Thai, Thai Basil Fried Rice, and Noodle Soup, choice of veggie/tofu, beef, chicken, shrimp, and seafood. Price range is $7.99-$9.99 plus tax. While shopping at the Mall of NH, I stopped in the food court for some dinner. I was given free samples of the Thai salt pepper chicken and lemongrass chicken before ordering. I decided to go with Chicken Pad Thai Noodles ($8.99 plus tax), which was cooked spicy (requested) fresh to order on the grill. The portion size was good. The Pad Thai flat noodles were cooked soft with a mix of onions, sprouts (minimal), soft boneless chicken pieces, fresh lime, and topped with crushed Planters Peanuts upon request. Overall, I enjoyed my simplified Pad Thai dinner. It was a nice surprise to see that this Ruby Thai Kitchen now offers fresh cooked Thai food in addition to the usual precooked steam table items. I will definitely try out the fresh cooked noodle soup on my next visit to the food court.

Spicy beef noodle soup. There was a lot more perfectly tender cooked beef on the bottom.

Definitely the worst pad Thai I've had. The people that work there barely know enough English to take your order.

The beef yellow curry I received was absolutely delicious. So what's with my 3 star rating then? Because I actually ordered the beef panang curry. I got a small container of dried chilis, which I added to it, but true panang curry also has red curry paste and peanut in it. The vegetables where those listed in the yellow curry too, so it had no green peppers nor green beans in it. I also ordered the pork spicy fried rice combo. It had an overwhelming fish taste and smell to it. I didn't eat more than two bites of it. I looked back at their menu and it says "a touch of shrimp chili paste" but mine had way more than a touch of it. It actually tasted more like fish sauce than a shrimp chili paste, so it was a bit of a surprise when I tasted it. You also get to chose from Jasmine rice or brown rice with the combo. I assumed that would be what they used to make the fried rice, but I had a side of the Jasmine rice in the same container as the fried rice. I added that with my other Jasmine rice for my curry dish. So that was a pleasant surprise. The combo gives you two vegetable spring rolls and two vegetable dumplings. Those were good. They also included two free crab rangoons in my order, which I appreciated. Those were very good! I'll definitely order those next time. I also ordered the chicken Tom Kha Soup. It was good. They used Beech/brown clamshell mushrooms in it, which was a nice touch. Most other Thai restaurants in the area use button mushrooms and those aren't nearly as good as the Beech mushrooms were. 4 stars on that. So I definitely will give them a try again. I won't try the spicy rice again. Hopefully next time when I order the Beef Panang Curry, that's what I actually end up getting afterall. For now, 3 stars, and I'll update my review after I give them another chance because I do think this restaurant has some promise. I'm hopeful they are able to wow me next time.

It's not authentic Japanese, it's an interpretation of Japanese by Chinese workers and Cooks. Also, Chinese service isn't great and the waiter here isn't attentive and a bit too casual for my taste. The food itself is just acceptable, and for the price not great. The atmosphere also still is pretty weak, and the restaurant is small. It's sort of almost like a hole on the wall. On the West Coast, I've eaten at over 30 authentic Japanese restaurants, and for those of you who aren't Japanese restaurant or sushi aficionados... This food is probably fine. If you know we're good, Japanese food is, don't come here and frankly you may need to drive to Boston to get it.
