We had four color and combination stir fry. It was very good. The meats were cooked perfect not dried out. Everyone was very nice.

Good Asian food restaurant. I had the pineapple combination fried rice twice now and both times it was delicious. The egg drop soup wasn't that great when I tried it but the fried ice cream makes up for it. Will come back again whenever I come through Clovis. read more

I judge Thai restaurants by how good their Pad Thai Chicken is. If it's good, I'll go back and try something else. If it's not good, it's unlikely I will ever go back. It is unlikely I will ever go back to this restaurant. Service was fast, staff was friendly, but the Pad Thai sauce looked like beef gravy, flavor was unusual, and the chicken was cold within the warm noodles, which was just strange. read more

If you want Thai/Chinese food in Clovis this is your spot. Not much to choose from in this town, but this place is pretty good! Love the pineapple chicken fried rice. Wish they had a sushi option in Clovis. Portales location is a short drive away to have sushi. Have not done so yet, but hope to soon. read more

We visited on a Thursday for lunch. The restaurant was busy, but not packed and we were seated right away. A waitress stopped by our table right away and took our drink order. Our waitress was very efficient and gave us very good service. She did not seem to know the menu real well, but did make an excellent suggestion on a sushi dish. Yes, they also have sushi. I was reluctant to have sushi in a place so far from an ocean. Their sushi selection is extensive, two pages, double columns, single spaced. Our two selections, one recommended by our waitress, were very good. The main Thai menu was also very extensive. This menu rivals any other Thai menu I have seen. They understand what hot means and I would suggest medium unless you like real heat. I do like heat, but also like to taste what I am eating. The three of us were very satisfied with our meals, tasty and the serving size was very ample. Would definitely return. They are in the process of opening a second restaurant in Portales. We were told that they expected to open in late August, 2013. read more

Server was accommodating. Food was not that good. The wontons in the wonton soup tasted raw to me. The honey chicken was ok.

I was traveling through on my way to Albuquerque and my hotel recommended this restaurant when I asked where I could celebrate Chinese New Year. I was impressed with the large selection of the Asian food, service was prompt, nice, and friendly but the question is, how well does the food taste? For Clovis, I was surprised. The pot stickers were excellent and the Thai tea was yummy. I'm glad Clovis has a nice Asian restaurant to go to. read more

Visiting from California and was so disappointed...to put it mildly. Chow mien noodles are made with Top Ramen noodles. Literally. 'Fried' rice was boiled, not fried. Awful! read more

We loved the food and friendly staff here! You can order your dish as spicy or as mild as you like. The sushi was fresh and amazing!

I didn't have the Thai food, the rest of the group did. One order was lost somewhere, and the waitress upon finally delivering the missing meal promptly took it off our bill. The food was good, service great and will return. :) read more

I ordered a 'to go' order of the Pineapple Fried Rice with chicken and LOVED it. I special ordered without the white onions. The staff was attentive and even came back to make sure they had the order correct. It was a huge order that I couldn't finish in one meal for under $9 (including tax). The dining area was clean and the kitchen from what I could see was very clean. I will certainly come back. The prices are great. They have a huge menu and the ingredients and prices are clearly stated on each item. read more

I have been eating here since they opened. At first I was very impressed and had to laugh off the poor service. Now it is months later and the service if possible is getting worse. Too bad, the food is also going down hill. We had a group of 6 on Friday at lunch and nobody was pleased with their food. I may not go back, that's how bad overall it was. The food is good, but the service is horrible. The waiting staff is rude. The cashier is equally rude. I will not be back.

I don't usually have the motivation to go through the trouble of writing a review after a poor dining experience, but I feel my lunch today at Thai City warrants a thorough documentation for all to see. The wait staff was initially very friendly and got my friend and I to a table without a problem. We ordered some sodas and perused their overwhelmingly complex menu. There are simply too many choices at this place. I feel like they are trying to offer too many dishes, and in doing so are mastering none of them. Even the soda literally fell flat and had an odd taste. My friend asked the waitress to recommend a few of the dishes and she mentioned that the Pad Thai was really good but that she doesn't like eating it after a hangover because it makes her puke. OK? I feel it's not the wisest thing for a waitress to mention the word puke when trying to recommend food. So my friend decides to get the Pad Thai anyway and I got a random stir fry. The food came out after a good while and we were hungry so we got started right away. The Pad Thai tasted like cat food. It was as if the chef literally opened up a few cans of cat food and mixed it with some noodles. It was just awful, and my stir fry was nearly as bad. The waitress eventually came around to the table and got us in touch with one of the supervisors who comped the cat fish noodles and expressed great shame. Needless to say, I will not be going back to Thai City. read more

Once upon a time, Thai City was one of the few edible restaurants in Clovis. We enjoyed it the few times we were there. Then it burnt down. Maybe it shouldn't have reopened. There were maybe four other tables there, so being busy was not a valid excuse for the service we received. We had to ask for a server after getting our drinks. Once we had one she took our order without writing anything down. That was unfortunate. We had to stop her and ask for our soup although we had specified that it was an appetizer. One of my kids got the wrong meal. Our server didn't deliver our meal, so the girls that brought it didn't know who ordered what. Three meals arrived, one didn't. We got it 15 minutes later. It was the same as another meal we ordered, in theory, but it looked nothing like it. The garlic chicken had no flavor at all. We never saw our server again. We were not offered drink refills. There were probably 6 girls working, but they were eating and were not worried about our meal at all. We left to pay our bill, but it took them a while to find our check, although as previously stated we were one of four tables and we pointed directly to the one we sat at twice. We paid $50 for a very inadequate meal. Disappointing. read more
