This is the little gem I wanted to keep hidden from everyone, but I can't help but share it! Their basil fried tofu and beef is my favorite. It's packed with flavor, with a wonderful basil aroma, a hint of fish sauce, and lots of delicious vegetables. Their Massaman curry never disappoints, and my kids absolutely loved the salmon curry. The salmon was so delicious--the outside was slightly crispy while the inside was soft, tender, and full of flavor. The basil chicken wasn't on the menu, but they kindly prepared it for us upon request, and it was absolutely delicious! The waitress was very friendly and attentive. Food is authentic and delicious second time visiting. Friendly staff excellent levels of spices available with dishes. Lots of familiar Thai distance available. A horrible take on true Thai Food. Nothing on this menu impressed. I live in Edmond and was excited about the opening that was delayed several times. I inquired about the food and ownership during that time. Read the menu and this is someone's idea of Thai Cuisine. Went a couple of times. Wouldn't go back. Server had no idea about the food. Obviously, the owners are not directly from Thailand and from what I'm told neither is the chef. My major problem with people that rave about Thai food is most have never been there and have no idea about the cuisine found in the different parts of the country as dishes are different depending on your travel throughout. Unfortunately I've traveled many times to many regions and very few and I mean only 1 or 2 come close. The old ownership of Sala Thai had the most authentic at one time then they divorced and Nick went to Edmond got a lady directly from Bangkok and did it right, for awhile, and during a return home trip she bailed. read more

I have mixed feelings on this place. We first ordered fresh spring rolls. They came out immediately, which makes me question when they were prepared. They were tasty though so no complaints there. For our main dishes we split the massaman curry with shrimp and the chicken pad thai. The curry was delightful! The pad thai was so sweet we could not eat it. We ended up taking the soup from the curry and poured it over the pad thai noodles. I prefer noodles to be savory with the slight hint of sweet. The sweet was so sweet it made the sauce and noodles very thick. We will give this place at least one more try because we want to try the tom yum soup when the weather cools. I used to order from Thai bistro all the time and it has always been very good. Recently it seems they have gotten rid of their lunch special, which was perfect. A little of everything at a great price. I ordered online today to see no lunch specials present. Went and found the main entree I usually order now states it is only meat, carrots, and broccoli. So I pay the $3 to get a side of rice. Get my order and it comes with rice. Would have been nice to have that stated in the description. Also, the portion size is drastically smaller for it to be a regular entree and not a lunch portion. My coworker also got the pineapple fried rice with one singular piece of pineapple. Smaller restaurant, but clean, modern and comfortable. The Spring Rolls were good, but average on filling and flavor. My Pad Kee Mao was good, but they do not offer pork so went with chicken. It was very spicy at a 3, but I like it hot. Veggies were criisp and fresh. Service was very good. I had the pad thai, which is sweet. It was good, but certainly not the best in OKC. I asked for Thai hot and found it to be comfortably hot for myself. The location itself was clean and new, they have a nice, small, outdoor area as well.
