I order free delivery from here about once a week. I am a huge fan! I highly recommend the Thai Basil Stir Fry with Beef and the Panang Curry for about $24. They offer 5 different spice levels but I someone that likes it hot so I go with Thai hot. The Thai hot on the beef will bring the heat, not so much on the curry itself. Each of the orders are big enough for 2 people to split. I have not had as much luck with the various soups but the main entries are pretty solid. Today my family decided to visit Thai Curry in Arlington for iftar after we heard that they serve halal chicken and saw all the great reviews. We made same day reservations for 8 pm but we were running late so I called and asked if we could place our order over the phone bc we were fasting for Ramadan and didn't want to wait long for our food. They understood and were very accommodating. Our server took our order over the phone and helped us decide what to get by making recommendations. Appetizers were waiting for us, nice and warm, on the table when we arrived. We started with tom yum soup and the shrimp popcorn. For entrees we had pineapple fried rice, bangkok yellow curry, and tender beef panang curry. The food was really good and service was impeccable. They had plastic cups with lids for the kids and they were super sweet to my toddler. My husband is a big thai fan and this hit the spot! We will be returning for more and I would def recommend this place if you like thai or want to try something new! read more

Came in for lunch right at opening time of 11:30 while waiting for a vehicle with a friend at the Mercedes Benz dealer. It is in a not very attractive little shopping strip mall on Glebe road. From the outside we could not tell how nice and intimate the restaurant is inside (wish I would have taken pictures) it's a small restaurant, long and narrow with seating on both both sides and bar area straight back. We were the first guests of the day and welcomed by a lovely lady who sat us by the windows. Seating caught my attention... cushion seating on one side and chair on the other. The menu was just right with the usual Thai offerings and lunch specials . I noticed that on the daily lunch specials there were a few days with Tilapia fish. I don't eat Tilapia but never the less I found that interesting. My friend had Panan Chicken and I ordered the Drunken noodle with tofu slightly spicy. My order was perfect in size and taste and very pleasing to the eye. My friends order was also nicely presented and although he did not comment it looked good and he seemed to enjoy it (he usually goes to another favorite Thai restaurant for this dish and I'm sure what have criticized this one if it was not up to par) . These lunch specials included salad , veggie egg roll and rice for his. We were not crazy about the egg rolls.... seemed like a paste instead of cut veggies inside. He had a Thai iced tea and I had the iced coffee. It was all very fresh, well prepared and delicious . Total price was $27 and change including tax. The woman that opened the restaurant and served us was very welcoming, pleasant and we had a very nice conversation about current events. Turns out she just recently became a US Citizen . This afternoon my boyfriend and I tried to go to our favorite Thai spot for lunch. Sadly, Thai Noy is only open for dinner on Sundays! We hit the road and I hit the Yelp for an alternative in Arlington. Knowing there are quite a few unknowns to choose from, we decided on Thai Curry. Lo! It was fantastic. We were awkwardly the only people in the place, which prompted me to write this (my first) review - people need to know about this place. The service was sweet, the music was mellow, and the dining room was clean and more than we expected from the outside. Now, the food. We had green curry with chicken and Panang with tofu and veggies. I was so excited when the Panang came out, loaded with veggies! Sometimes places just drop in the tofu and skimp on the broccoli, carrots, etc. but not here! The sauce was rich and just enough spicy (could have used a kick up, but it was fine). The green curry had a great heat to it, and had a good portion of chicken and vegetables - including baby eggplant! Holler. And, each (big) entree was only $10. The best Thai restaurant that has been at the corner of Pershing & Glebe. I have eaten at the various Thai restaurant that have occupied that space in the past, and Thai Curry is the best. The food is so flavorful and authentic. The decor is tranquil and the staff is fabulous. Their food was so good that I was having food-gasms as I ate it. It was so good that I ordered take out the next night after work. Yes, I ate it two days in a row! Next time I will bring a friend or two for a sit down meal. This has become our go-to place for Thai food. We've really enjoyed the entrees we've ordered from larb gai to fried rice. They accommodate our requests for light oil (some delivery can be so oily) without compromising taste. And they are extremely service oriented. I love Thai Food. If I could pile Thai food on my bed and roll around in it, I would be thrilled. And most likely on fire from the chiles. Point is, I've spent the past year trying to find a good Thai restaurant after moving away from my favorite one in NC. My holy grail of Thai food is panang curry, although I'll eat all other kinds of curry happily. I read the rave reviews on Yelp, and started bouncing with anticipation of good, real panang curry the likes of which I haven't had since 2009 (yes I remember the last time I had panang). The restaurant didn't blow me away from outside, but I was prepared for that from the other reviews. Inside it was quiet, clean, and warmly decorated. I of course ordered the panang curry with tofu, and my boyfriend ordered the sizzling beef ("marinated flank steak in our exotic brown sauce topped with ginger, served on a hot sizzling platter"). The panang was heaven. They didn't skimp on the veggies, which is always a complaint of mine. The sauce was spicy and creamy, silky and bursting with flavor. I liked it with the tofu, classic clean tofu to really let the flavors of the curry shine. Even my boyfriend, who's disliked every other curry I've fed him in my pursuit of the perfect panang... liked it. Loved it. Grabbed my bowl and slurped it up when I was too full to go on. When his sizzling beef came out, it looked like a tiny portion to me - a hot sizzling plate with a small pile of beef. However, my boyfriend assured me that it was at least a full pound of beef, and very filling. I tried the "exotic brown sauce" at his insistence and wow. I could eat a whole plate of broccoli if you just put that sauce on top. We finished off with the Thai style roti with "fruit jelly chocolate syrup." We asked our waiter if we could have it with ice cream, because that's my favorite Thai dessert combination. He checked for us, and was very apologetic when they didn't. The dessert was the only thing I wouldn't order again, the portions were much smaller than the roti I'm used to, and the combination of jelly filling and chocolate syrup wasn't appealing. All in all, I'm so glad I found this little place. I've already been back, and shared the menu (I snagged a few copies) with friends for delivery orders that they raved about. Not very authentic for the most part, very "Americanized" Thai food. A lot of sugar added to everything. Very expensive and not worth it. Pad Thai did not taste like pad Thai at all, just tasted like tomatoes. Not very traditional or even tasty. Crispy fried duck was soggy and too sweet. The coconut milk they use is a canned brand that adds starch and flour thickeners (very cheap, low quality). This restaurant is for those who want thick gooey sauces and not very authentic flavor for very overpriced food. There are tons of better Thai places out there! read more

I ordered the Ka Praw - Thai Basil Stir Fried and blanket shrimp dish for takeout and everything was very tasty! It was very easy to pick-up and the food was packaged well. I selected "very spicy" and was very happy with the spice level of the Ka Prow - it definitely hit the spot! I am not a picky person whatsoever, and am generally easy to please when it comes to food. The pad thai was the most bland pad thai I have ever had, and it's my goto carry out food item. I thought it'd be nice to treat Moms and Pops to a casual lunch out. You know, to repay them for public temper tantrums at the mall, ER visits, teaching me how to drive, and shelling out for my higher education. Thai Curry seemed just the ticket. We walked in and were immediately impressed by the sleek, chic décor: gleaming wood floors, lavender banquettes, fresh flowers in tiny, shallow glass bud vases, modern high-backed chairs. This small space hiding behind a plain storefront has been transformed into something unexpected. The service matched the design: polished, professional, and attentive. Aside from one misfire, we all truly enjoyed the food we sampled at TC. Misfire, you ask? Why, yes: the Duck Roti. Moms is downright skittish about meat: it has to be as lean as humanly possible; she's not a lover of the fat; one piece of gristle, and she's done for the rest of the meal. So when she bit down through her roti and encountered a glob of fatty, stringy, gamey duck still attached to a wee leg bone, she'd like to have cried out in anguish. I know TC's angle is Thai street food, but the, ahem, "authenticity" nearly gave Moms an aneurysm. In her defense, tho, even Pops wasn't a fan of the roti, and we call him the Human Garbage Disposal in our family. Otherwise, the food we had was excellent. In addition to the Duck Roti, we also ordered a special appetizer of fresh PEI mussels in a light, aromatic broth of ginger, lime leaf, and lemongrass. Aside from a little grit, this dish was really enjoyable. Moms tried the Panang Tofu with its creamy coconut sauce and fragrant keffir lime leaves. Pops went with the lightly breaded fried tilapia which came with a vinegary, sweet, and spicy glaze over top. And I had Thai Cashew Tofu. The sauce was pleasantly sour and subtly sugary, and I fully appreciated the abundance of bell peppers, scallion, onion, and water chestnuts which added a lot of interest to the overall dish. Everyone was really wishing their meals had a lot more spicy heat, tho. At lunch, the special is entrées + 2 veggie gyoza + seaweed veggie soup + jasmine rice + soft drink/iced tea is *$10*. While not the best Thai in Arlington, I've generally been happy with the food after a long night at work. The two stars is for the horrendous service. When one orders delivery you expect the person to actually deliver it to your door especially when you're paying a fee for said delivery. Twice now I've had terrible experiences with the drivers. The first time they claimed they could not leave their vehicle yet managed to make it into my building and through the lobby by the time I made it downstairs. Clearly he did not feel the need to stay in his vehicle. The last one refused to even come inside my building! If you don't want to do REAL delivery, then don't do it and don't falsely advertise for it or charge extra for it. I wish I could get back my 20% tip back because the delivery driver clearly did not deserve it. I will not be ordering from here ever again. read more

We were traveling through and decided on this Thai restaurant (down the road from the more popular Bangkok54). It boasts a front parking lot - which you don't get if you decide to go further into downtown Arlington on Wilson Blvd. The ambiance was nice and reminded me of trendier bars in downtown NYC. The price was reasonable and the drinks (we ordered a bottle of wine) were as well. We ordered the deep fried shrimp appetizer and Spring rolls. The drunken noodles, as well as Jungle Curry. The Thai taste is definitely there, but it's a little toned down. You don't have the strong Galangal snap or the scent of Thai Holy Basil.
