Got a seat quickly for 2 people at this restaurant on a Thursday evening. The staff were nice and came by our table a lot to grab our order but we weren't ready each time because my girlfriend and I were playing catchup! It was until the 4th attempt that the waiter took the hint and waited for us to flag him over. He was very patient! As for the food, we ordered the pad see yew and pad kee mao (spicy) which was enough to the both of us to share. The flavor was there for the noodle dishes. One of the appetizers we bought was the crispy onion rings and the fried "shrimp" which was imitation crab. It felt very rubbery in texture and the flavor was not there. Wouldn't recommend it. The onion rings were good though --I liked the batter it was made with. The interior was cozy, there was searing for groups of 4 or 6 comfortably. Definitely a nice little spot for dinner or lunch for all the vegans or vegetarians.

Amazing Vegan Food Had such a wonderful experience at Bright Star Vegan Cuisine! The food was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Everything we tried was packed with flavor, and you honestly don't have to be vegan to enjoy it. The service was friendly and welcoming, and the overall atmosphere was great. Definitely a place I would recommend and come back to again!

I just want to preface by saying my mom and I enjoy vegetarian cuisine, and we have eaten vegetarian dishes from other Thai restaurants, so we came to Bright Star Thai Vegan thinking we would love it since they even specialize in vegan Thai dishes. The restaurant looked well staffed but of the staff they had, they were on the slow side. My mom and I shared the Bright Star Papaya Salad ($12.99), a large Tom Yum with Veggies ($12.99), and a Pad See Ew with Soy Chicken ($14.99). Once again I would like to emphasize that we tried the avoid dishes from other Thai restaurants, so we know these are dishes we normally enjoy. The papaya salad came out first. The presentation looked nice. As we took one bite... BLAND. What?? Normally this dish is so flavorful. Then the Tom Yum came out full with vegetables. Looked hopefully. BLAND. No notes of lemongrass at all. I questioned if they had any lemon grass in here, but then I bit into one. I noticed it wasn't smashed. Fail. You have to beat up lemongrass to release its essence. Then the pad see ew... SWEET! Whyyyyy is this sooooo sweettttttt??? Disgusting. I would even say inedible. The best thing about the dish was the soy chicken. Most of my reviews are positive, but this was depressingly underwhelming and inedible. Not a great representation of Thai food or Vegan food, as I have tasted better executions of Vegan Thai cuisine.

Food - excellent. Steamed dumplings - $10.99 - very well prepared with a great and fresh filling. Nice dipping sauce. Lunch specials -$12.99- served with a small salad, brown rice and a tasty fried dumpling on a beautiful plate - 1) Orange Chicken - light batter, delicious, crunchy. 2) Yellow Curry Tofu and Potatoes was amazing. Just kept transferring the brown rice to the curry dish. Iced Thai Coffee - fresh, not too sweet, just right. T Iced Tea - very good. Service - Nuchie was absolutely outstanding. Sole server/waitress handling 5 booths with ease, class and a smile. The two chefs were very nice and smiling as they acknowledged us. Loved the way they prepped and presented the plates. Nuchie checked up on and brought us extra dressing and sauces when requested. Atmosphere - simple, mellow and clean. Great vibe. Comfortable booths. It came to $50.55 for the two of us plus tip for a wonderful lunch and afternoon. Bright Star is closed on Wednesdays. The accessible entrance is right up front with no steps.

It's night to have an option on the area for vegan Thai food! The staff is very nice and they do their best to make sure that even your take out order is packed carefully! The potions are also quite big, and they have lunch specials! I am always after a deal! I did knock a star off because I was cautioned that 10 would be too spicy for me and to go for a 5, and there was basically ZERO spice in my meal. I also felt the pad Thai lacked flavor... I tend to like a little wok hei or however it is spelled. I did like the spicy eggplant, except again, there was zero spice. I go to Thailand a lot and while I LOVE spice, I have been humbled more than once over there... oh the stories of how I have been owned would make many have a good laugh....but I should have gone with with my instincts and just got it at the hottest level because there was literally zero spice in my meal.

EXCELLENT food. Such a great find. Waitress was attentive and very polite. The restaurant was full and still there was no delay in receiving food or service. Would recommend!

Orange chicken, yellow curry and garlic vegetables! YUM!!!!

So good!!! I have been vegetarian for 15 years and missing orange chicken! This is better than any orange chicken I have EVER HAD!! The staff was so nice and everything was cooked fresh! This is my new weekly habit and I'm so happy!!!

This is one of the best, but also most affordable, Thai places in the area. We are not vegan, but we have made it here two or three times already. We haven't had a bad dish! The stuff is quick and everything tastes good for a decent price.

We tried four different dishes and all were good - pad Thai, pad see ew, fried rice, and a spicy dish that I can't remember. We had a overall good experience at the restaurant, and the staff was hospitable and kind. Lots of good meat alternatives that weren't exactly meat copycats, but we're good enough to enjoy.

The food was awesome I would suggest the orange chicken definitely and the pad Thai see ew. These were so delicious I also got the spicy eggplant, yellow miso soup(don't remember what it was called), and the classic fried rice with beef. But none of them stood out as much as the two listed above. Their service was awesome, the servers were really nice, and I enjoyed the fact that it was "family style", definitely a good place to go with friends but alone it could get a bit pricey. Loved that EVERYTHING WAS VEGAN!! Made me very happy as a vegan and was a great place to take my non vegan friends. The only reason this was marked off was because while they do have a few good options a lot of them are just meh or okay.

Good to see this place is still doing well after all these years. Been a while since I'd been here. Decided to try it again. Very cool they are a completely vegan Thai restaurant. Place looked just how I remembered it. Went with the bright star vegan pad Thai with vegan chicken. It was delicious and hit the spot. Like everywhere else, prices have definitely gone up over the years here. If you're looking for a fun new take on vegan food, this is a sure spot to try.

Service was courteous and prompt and ambience was average for a Thai restaurant, slightly upscale perhaps. Food - we ordered a few dishes Chicken Sa-tay was ok. Soy based, the peanut sauce could have been better. I've had vegan chicken satay at other places and trust me, seitan based satay done welll tastes better Grilled chicken salad was a complete miss. Cucumbers and tomato slices were so large we had to chop it up ourselves Yellow Curry was overall ok but was a bit strong on the curry powder (or turmeric).

Ask the Community - Bright Star Thai Vegan

    Is there outdoor dining options?

No, not right now. It's take out only & the parking lot is tight. So people usually pick up and go. 🤗

Is this place closed indefinitely? We had seen a sign posted on the door indicating they would reopen 10/26-?

They are open! I believe they remodeled, it looks different to me inside. :)

How many people does the a la carte portion (eg. orange chicken) feed, 1-2? Are there any family size portions?

The a la carte Orange Chicken comes with a side of brown rice. It's not a huge portion, if you're really hungry then the portion is enough for one person. But it is an adequate size enough for 2 people to share.

What time is the lunch special?

I know that they open at 11 am-3:30 pm 7.95 lunch specials

The dish is made with ground chicken stir fried with onions, red peppers, and Thai basil. I ordered it mildly spicy and it was just right with a slight amount of kick. The lunch specials come with a salad and vegetable egg roll. The salad is a spring mix with a nice, rich tasting homemade dressing that had a touch of basil flavor. The vegetable egg roll was freshly fried and tasted good as well. Thai ice tea was refreshing and not too sweet. Overall, a very delicious lunch. Staff are welcoming and friendly. The dining room is spacious, airy, and clean. Price wise the food is definitely worth it because of the quality ingredients and preparation. I would definitely return to try the other items on the menu.

Our recent visit to Grove Thai Restaurant was disappointing due to several clear issues:…read more Atmosphere: The air conditioning was not working, which made the restaurant very hot and left a bad smell inside. Cleanliness: Before we even ordered, we saw three dead gnats sitting on our table, so it did not look like it was wiped clean or sanitized. Staff Appearance: The workers were wearing simple everyday clothes and skirts, which made the staff look unorganized and unprofessional. Food Quality: The food tasted uneven. Some bites were way too salty, while other bites were too sweet. Also, the menu picture showed a whole bowl of salad, but we only got three small leaves of lettuce. Drink Service: Our water came with a tiny piece of lemon smaller than a dime (see photo). When we asked for more, they said they ran out of fresh lemons and brought us a small dish of liquid lemon juice instead. Surprise Charges: When the bill came, they added a $2 extra fee for beef that was never printed on the menu or told to us when we ordered. UPDATE FOLLOWING OWNERS RESPONSE: You only addressed 1 issue from all the problems I listed out. And, even if an additional charge is listed for a lunch special that claims to be 13.95$. As customer we expect to pay exactly that 13.95$. In addition to that waiter usually mention the extra charge for customers that missed the notice on the menu.
