Grabbed takeout from here this evening, and had an overall good meal. I had the Pad Egg noodle, mild +, and a side of rice. The dish had an overall great flavor. The noodles were a little clumpy, and there wasn't a ton of vegetables in the dish for the overall price. An upcharge for pork when chicken was included seemed a little crazy to me- especially when I got a few little pieces. The dish wasn't the best presented either for the total price. I can normally handle my spice at Thai places at a medium level- having not been here before, I played it safe- the mild + was like medium + for me in my opinion. A $1 upcharge for using an online ordering platform is little annoying too- especially since I didn't know until after I looked at my receipt (will order over the phone next time). Overall, food was good- just taking off a star for all of the small things in total. Will definitely return. read more

Walked into Thai Bliss after a long travel day from California. The first things that caught my eye were the amazing Bible scriptures on the wall, which truly lifted my spirit, and the ginormous American flag in the dining room! We met friends to enjoy an early dinner of Thai food. We had eaten here before but the name of the restaurant used to be Thai Charm. We found that it was run by the same group of people as before. We got a friendly welcome back greeting and were seated right away. We shared spring rolls, fried tofu, and curry puffs. My favorite was the hot crispy spring rolls. Really nice for a nice price! Overall it is a cheaper Thai place but for the price it's fair quality of food. We got the Carb Rangoon those were really tasty, the sauce was very sweet and was really good! The green curry was very nicely spiced and was a nice portion. The chicken fried rice was also flavorful! The service is quick and the ladies are super nice! Very attentive and are willing to help you if needed! My 5 Takeaways (in under 60 seconds) Location: Conveniently located in a strip mall off Southport Rd. Parking can be limited, but there are extra parking spaces nearby. We had pad Thai, massum curry and tom yum and crab Rangoon. Pad Thai and crab Rangoon were tasty. We ordered 2 stars and not hot at all. We had to get special chili oil but never as good as when they come ok either if. Massamum again not spicy enough and too sweet and loose/runny. Tom Yum was brothy and not sharp enough with enough lime. The place definitely had the chemical smell maybe from the nail or hair salon. Absolutely delicious Thai food here made with love! We ordered the pad see ew with tofu, basil fried rice with chicken, and amazing grilled salmon. Each dish was fantastic! The spice level of medium to medium hot was perfect for us. As a treat we got the fresh mango w sticky rice which was an amazing treat! Service was gracious and efficient. We love Thai Bliss!! Take out or Eat in it's all great! Our favorites are pineapple fried rice with chicken and chicken red curry medium. We like to start with summer rolls with shrimp in the rice paper! The two sauces that come with those ones of peanut and I don't know what the other one is called so so so delicious! The new owner and the stuff that has continued are all friendly and courteous and knowledgeable. If you're looking for a new Thai place, give this one a chance I think you'll be delighted. read more

It squeaks a five star because its ingredients are great, and flavors more closely approximate food you'd find in Thailand. We've been here three times, and this time, it was Pad Woon Sen, Thai Fried Rice (with pineapple), and an order of straight fried rice with beef (our carnivorous friend). The Pad Woon Sen is a kitchen-cleaner sort of dish, and this one was great. Lots of veggies, thin noodles, spiced just right. The Thai Fried Rice (with pineapple) was different than last time, less pineapple, and seemed like it might've been rushed through the wok. My carnivorous friend hoovered the beef fried rice, declaring it fabulous. This was takeout, and although the prices were a little high, it was of good quality and was prepared pretty quickly. They have decent parking at this location, and a fairly large dining room. It's a clean place, and the cooks are visible if you want to watch them. I've always like a kitchen I could watch. We'll go again as we're in the neighborhood pretty frequently. read more

Pictures don't do it justice. The Rangoon's are thin, crispy and fresh. The pad Thai is a huge portion, tastes great, good portion of veg to protein. If you went here for the service alone you would be satisfied. Super friendly, fast and fresh. read more

I went here for lunch today and ordered the orange chicken and drunken noodles. The orange chicken was the best I have ever had and the drunken noodles with beef were amazing! They also gave us a Thai green tea which was delicious. This was the best Thai food I have had in Indianapolis! The restaurant was very clean and the service was great. Food quality has gone notably down since changing ownership and name. What other direction could it could go? It was literally the best before. The various fried rices aren't as "wow" as before but still decent. The curries are WAY oily now and they swapped out some of the veggies. Their steamed white rice often tastes old/has burned parts from sitting in the rice cooker. Their "fresh" summer rolls are anything but that, the lettuce/carrots in them are sometimes off/slimy. Thom Yum is still good. The restaurant often has a chemically smell now. Service is fine. read more

This place is in the Panera Bread strip. I think the name was changed from Thai Charm. We have been twice. The food is really flavorful and delicious and the hostess is the nicest lady. My boyfriend and I recommend this place if you are looking for a new Thai restaurant. read more

It had been before the pandemic since my last time in Indianapolis and much has changed on the city's dining and drinking landscape. Following a recommendation from a bartender at Sundry & Vice, I made my way to BODHI. I didn't have reservations, which I'd strongly recommend, since the place was packed on Wednesday night before 6PM. Fortunately, I was able to snag a seat at the bar, which was ideal since I was dining solo. Upon scanning the hip, high-energy, yet petite dining room, I had a sense of deja vu about it before realizing that I had been in this space before back when it was Black Market. I started off with a cocktail from Bodhi's intriguing and expansive drink list, a 7 Realms of Happiness, made with Old Hamer Bourbon, Faccia Brutto Centerbe, Cappelletti amaro, saffron honey, and lemon. My thought was that it's their twist on a classic Whiskey Smash. It was bittersweet, yet balanced, and simply a delight. As for the food, BODHI's menu is concise hitting the most of the Thai food usual suspects. I had the Papaya Salad and the Shrimp Green Curry. The papaya salad came out first. I was pleasantly surprised by its plating, looking much more like an elaborate entree with its cashews, watermelon radish, and chicharrones than the humble side salad atop a leaf of lettuce or cabbage that I've usually received at virtually every Thai restaurant I've ever been. It was just a pretty plate as it tasted even better than it looked. It was fresh and flavorful as those flavors popped from the perfect balance of salty, sweet, sour, spicy, and funky. It was the best rendition of a papaya salad that I've tasted. My bowl of curry was no less successful in balancing those diverse Thai flavor profiles. Unlike some/many other curries I've had where it seems like a bowl full of sauce with bits and pieces of protein or vegetables, Bodhi's rendition achieved the perfect "solids to sauce" ratio. The shrimp were cooked to perfection and the curry itself was bold and bright on my tongue. It was a delicious spoonful. I loved it! For "dessert", I had a second cocktail, the Garnet, a booze-forward whisky drink made with Mars Iwai Tradition, Pinhook Rye, Akashi Ume Plum whisky, Veda Mushroom Liqueur, Balsamic Vermouth, celery & orange bitters, and topped with a Moon Smoke Bubble. It was very unique, tasty and satisfying, if not a bit difficult to describe. I would maybe compare it to an Asian-influenced Vieux Carre and I thought it was excellent. Service from Carli, the bartender, was stellar throughout my night as she was friendly, helpful and exceedingly outstanding in making my drinks. A definite rock star! BODHI was outstanding. I'm not sure how to best describe the place. Was it as an amazing Thai restaurant that also does incredible cocktails or an amazing cocktail bar that also does killer Thai food? Regardless, I could not have enjoyed my experience more. If/when I'm back in Indy, BODHI is at the top of my list for a visit!

With most of the Thai restaurants I've dined, the good ones, they're typically small for an almost quiet dining experience. I've found the smaller, the better in taste. It was very clean and open. I have definitely added this spot to my Go To Thai spots in Indy! Go check them out and enjoy some authentic Thai food.

As for the food, every bite I took was delicious. Our table shared the fried brussel sprouts and the ginger miso salad. A very lovely way to ease into our meal on a lighter note. They split up the salad onto two plates for us, which was sweet of them. The portion was pretty good for a $12 salad. Very refreshing. Brussel sprouts were absolutely fire. Get them! Along with that, I also ordered the tempura shrimp maki roll. Inside the roll was cucumber and avocado with giant tempura shrimp right on top, drizzled in spicy mayo. The presentation was cool, a slightly deconstructed version of what I would get somewhere else. There wasn't a single bite left on the plate. I would order all three of these dishes again in a heartbeat. Perfect for a date night or special occasion, but also works for just grabbing a bite with friends. I would have paid more like $6 for the amount of actual salad I got. The dressing was good, but nothing extraordinary. I did ask for no cucumbers- I could taste a faint taste of cucumbers on the salad, so think they just took them off after they were already placed. We split some Bao Buns. These were the highlight of the show. The pork on them was thick, the slaw was fresh, and the bao bun itself was fluffy. We split two dishes for dinner- the short rib and the chicken udon noodles. The chicken udon noodles were fantastic- packed full of flavor and tons of toppings in it. The short rib fell a little short of my expectations, but I had high expectations to begin with. We have had the short rib multiple times in the past- and normally it is a hunk of meat, similar to a roast. Now, it is strips of tiny pieces of meat with a bone attached to it. If the owner/general manager is reading this- GO BACK TO THE ROAST STYLE- the strips of meat was too much work to eat. Still packed full of great flavor though. I had the bridge to Anshun for my drink. I had never had Baiju before, but glad I tried it. It was a tangy drink that was also sweet- would say it's a must try. Overall, some changes since our last visit that weren't expected, but overall had a great evening here. Can't wait to return.

It had been before the pandemic since my last time in Indianapolis and much has changed on the city's dining and drinking landscape. Following a recommendation from a bartender at Sundry & Vice, I made my way to BODHI. I didn't have reservations, which I'd strongly recommend, since the place was packed on Wednesday night before 6PM. Fortunately, I was able to snag a seat at the bar, which was ideal since I was dining solo. Upon scanning the hip, high-energy, yet petite dining room, I had a sense of deja vu about it before realizing that I had been in this space before back when it was Black Market. I started off with a cocktail from Bodhi's intriguing and expansive drink list, a 7 Realms of Happiness, made with Old Hamer Bourbon, Faccia Brutto Centerbe, Cappelletti amaro, saffron honey, and lemon. My thought was that it's their twist on a classic Whiskey Smash. It was bittersweet, yet balanced, and simply a delight. As for the food, BODHI's menu is concise hitting the most of the Thai food usual suspects. I had the Papaya Salad and the Shrimp Green Curry. The papaya salad came out first. I was pleasantly surprised by its plating, looking much more like an elaborate entree with its cashews, watermelon radish, and chicharrones than the humble side salad atop a leaf of lettuce or cabbage that I've usually received at virtually every Thai restaurant I've ever been. It was just a pretty plate as it tasted even better than it looked. It was fresh and flavorful as those flavors popped from the perfect balance of salty, sweet, sour, spicy, and funky. It was the best rendition of a papaya salad that I've tasted. My bowl of curry was no less successful in balancing those diverse Thai flavor profiles. Unlike some/many other curries I've had where it seems like a bowl full of sauce with bits and pieces of protein or vegetables, Bodhi's rendition achieved the perfect "solids to sauce" ratio. The shrimp were cooked to perfection and the curry itself was bold and bright on my tongue. It was a delicious spoonful. I loved it! For "dessert", I had a second cocktail, the Garnet, a booze-forward whisky drink made with Mars Iwai Tradition, Pinhook Rye, Akashi Ume Plum whisky, Veda Mushroom Liqueur, Balsamic Vermouth, celery & orange bitters, and topped with a Moon Smoke Bubble. It was very unique, tasty and satisfying, if not a bit difficult to describe. I would maybe compare it to an Asian-influenced Vieux Carre and I thought it was excellent. Service from Carli, the bartender, was stellar throughout my night as she was friendly, helpful and exceedingly outstanding in making my drinks. A definite rock star! BODHI was outstanding. I'm not sure how to best describe the place. Was it as an amazing Thai restaurant that also does incredible cocktails or an amazing cocktail bar that also does killer Thai food? Regardless, I could not have enjoyed my experience more. If/when I'm back in Indy, BODHI is at the top of my list for a visit!

For my main course, I ordered the lasagna, and I can confidently say it was one of the best I've ever had. It wasn't overloaded with cheese and instead complemented by mushrooms and pesto, and surprisingly light on the stomach. My husband chose the filet and rated it an 8/10, saying he thoroughly enjoyed it. We were so full by the end that we skipped dessert.
