Walked into Thai Bliss after a long travel day from California. The first things that caught my eye were the amazing Bible scriptures on the wall, which truly lifted my spirit, and the ginormous American flag in the dining room! The staff was excellent and incredibly nice. I ordered the Red Thai Curry minus the eggplant, and it was super good. I will definitely come back again whenever I'm in the area!

We met friends to enjoy an early dinner of Thai food. We had eaten here before but the name of the restaurant used to be Thai Charm. We found that it was run by the same group of people as before. We got a friendly welcome back greeting and were seated right away. We shared spring rolls, fried tofu, and curry puffs. My favorite was the hot crispy spring rolls. I had a small bowl of tom yum soup that was hot, fresh and yummy. My entree was pad cashew nut stir fry. It was a large portion and so fresh.

Really nice for a nice price! Overall it is a cheaper Thai place but for the price it's fair quality of food. We got the Carb Rangoon those were really tasty, the sauce was very sweet and was really good! The green curry was very nicely spiced and was a nice portion. The chicken fried rice was also flavorful! The service is quick and the ladies are super nice! Very attentive and are willing to help you if needed! Very clean restaurant, fast service, and overall cute for being a small place!

My 5 Takeaways (in under 60 seconds) Location: Conveniently located in a strip mall off Southport Rd. Parking can be limited, but there are extra parking spaces nearby.   Vibe: Quaint, well laid out, and a good atmosphere.   Service: Great customer service. Our waiter checked on us often, kept our drinks full, and went the extra mile.   Food: HUGE portions. Full of flavor and seasoning. Well prepared and exactly what I was expecting.   Quick Tip: Try the Spring Rolls - the Sweet Chili Sauce is mouthwatering!

Absolutely delicious Thai food here made with love! We ordered the pad see ew with tofu, basil fried rice with chicken, and amazing grilled salmon. Each dish was fantastic! The spice level of medium to medium hot was perfect for us. As a treat we got the fresh mango w sticky rice which was an amazing treat! Service was gracious and efficient. This was honestly the best meal I've had while charging my car nearby. So good, I am planning a return trip to come here again!

Food was all so good, especially the appetizers. I could have just ordered off the appetizer menu.

The food is just "Amazing". I spent a year in Thailand, and this is very authentic food. The service is just wonderful. The owner is courteous and willing to spend time discussing Thailand. So unusual. The setting is very cozy and warm. Vivian, our waitress, was a true blessing.

Pictures don't do it justice. The Rangoon's are thin, crispy and fresh. The pad Thai is a huge portion, tastes great, good portion of veg to protein. If you went here for the service alone you would be satisfied. Super friendly, fast and fresh.

In town on family business, for a couple of days, I was looking for someplace interesting for…read moredinner on a Wednesday evening. It had been before the pandemic since my last time in Indianapolis and much has changed on the city's dining and drinking landscape. Following a recommendation from a bartender at Sundry & Vice, I made my way to BODHI. I didn't have reservations, which I'd strongly recommend, since the place was packed on Wednesday night before 6PM. Fortunately, I was able to snag a seat at the bar, which was ideal since I was dining solo. Upon scanning the hip, high-energy, yet petite dining room, I had a sense of deja vu about it before realizing that I had been in this space before back when it was Black Market. I started off with a cocktail from Bodhi's intriguing and expansive drink list, a 7 Realms of Happiness, made with Old Hamer Bourbon, Faccia Brutto Centerbe, Cappelletti amaro, saffron honey, and lemon. My thought was that it's their twist on a classic Whiskey Smash. It was bittersweet, yet balanced, and simply a delight. As for the food, BODHI's menu is concise hitting the most of the Thai food usual suspects. I had the Papaya Salad and the Shrimp Green Curry. The papaya salad came out first. I was pleasantly surprised by its plating, looking much more like an elaborate entree with its cashews, watermelon radish, and chicharrones than the humble side salad atop a leaf of lettuce or cabbage that I've usually received at virtually every Thai restaurant I've ever been. It was just a pretty plate as it tasted even better than it looked. It was fresh and flavorful as those flavors popped from the perfect balance of salty, sweet, sour, spicy, and funky. It was the best rendition of a papaya salad that I've tasted. My bowl of curry was no less successful in balancing those diverse Thai flavor profiles. Unlike some/many other curries I've had where it seems like a bowl full of sauce with bits and pieces of protein or vegetables, Bodhi's rendition achieved the perfect "solids to sauce" ratio. The shrimp were cooked to perfection and the curry itself was bold and bright on my tongue. It was a delicious spoonful. I loved it! For "dessert", I had a second cocktail, the Garnet, a booze-forward whisky drink made with Mars Iwai Tradition, Pinhook Rye, Akashi Ume Plum whisky, Veda Mushroom Liqueur, Balsamic Vermouth, celery & orange bitters, and topped with a Moon Smoke Bubble. It was very unique, tasty and satisfying, if not a bit difficult to describe. I would maybe compare it to an Asian-influenced Vieux Carre and I thought it was excellent. Service from Carli, the bartender, was stellar throughout my night as she was friendly, helpful and exceedingly outstanding in making my drinks. A definite rock star! BODHI was outstanding. I'm not sure how to best describe the place. Was it as an amazing Thai restaurant that also does incredible cocktails or an amazing cocktail bar that also does killer Thai food? Regardless, I could not have enjoyed my experience more. If/when I'm back in Indy, BODHI is at the top of my list for a visit!

It's arriving at 6:30 on a Wednesday evening and being the ONLY patrons in the entire restaurant and waiting 25 mins for chicken satay and 30 minutes for entrees. It seems like more restaurants are prioritizing DoorDash and To-GO orders rather than people who come to enjoy the experience. It's beautifully decorated and has great ambiance. They even have a Pride flag for June. By the time our food arrived I was too hungry to take photos of it and we had to box up most of it to make it to our next destination on time. It's too bad the food takes forever because I LOVE their food. The menu is quite extensive and they have things not many other Thai places have near me. Sadly I will not go back for dinner any time soon.

But for however long we had to wait for everything (menus, drinks, to order, our food, the checks), the food made up for it! When I visit a new-to-me Thai restaurant, I usually get the pad Thai or convince someone I'm dining with to get the pad Thai so I can try it. Pad Thai is my litmus test! The pad Thai here at Chiang Mai Thai Noodle was excellent. Perhaps some of the best pad Thai I've eaten in Indy. It wasn't too sweet, which was nice. Sometimes, pad Thai can get a little cloying, but this one was perfectly balanced. I got it with shrimp, which were great and perfectly cooked. Like I mentioned, I visited with a big group. We all got something different, and I also got to try the Crispy Spring Roll. They ain't kidding -- this is one crispy spring roll. The outside shatters with every bite. I think when I come back, I'm definitely getting my own order of these. Other people at my table got things like curry, tom kha soup and crispy basil duck, and every person loved their dishes. The portion sizes are also huge! I feel like you can't go wrong with anything on the menu, here. One thing to note: Their spice level goes from 1 to 6, with 6 being the hottest. A couple of us wanted mild and chose a 2, and it was way too spicy! So if you truly want a mild dish, just go with a 1.
