Almost everything on the menu can be gluten free included crab won tons! We picked a variety of items to order and split and everything was good. Fried orange chicken was also gluten free and enjoyable. We ordered level 2/5 spice on curry and it was pretty spicy. The owner was super friendly and knowledgeable. We have been going to Duvall Thai for years. In the last several years, we've been avoiding it because there are other Thai restaurants that are relatively close that have much better quality, portion sizes, and pricing. Last night, we were in a hurry, and it was getting late. So, for convenience's sake, we tried Duvall Thai again. We were hoping that it had improved since our last visit. We were sorely disappointed. The quality was absolutely terrible. The "fresh rolls" were so old that they were stuck together and dry as a bone. They completely fell apart when I tried to open the package. Literally inedible. The satay came in a takeaway box that was too small to contain it, so it leaked out all over the bag. The hot & sour soup was totally bland and again, inedible. I couldn't believe what the bill came to considering what we ordered. Do yourself a favor and go to Monroe or Redmond for proper Thai that is authentic, truly fresh, portioned appropriately, and priced competitively. I really hope Duvall Thai gets the message, as this problem has been going on for years. The fact that the restaurant itself is in need of a serious cleaning and updated decor is a whole other issue. It appears that they haven't changed a thing in over 20 years. We love supporting local businesses, but we won't be dining there again unless they make some drastic changes. read more

We ordered to-go. The place was hectic and when we got home our order was incorrect. The guy taking to-go orders and putting them together seemed frazzled and unable to concentrate. What we did get tasted alright but was not something I'd yearn for. It's a small town Thai place so I'm satisfied enough. Coming from Seattle I have much better places to crave. I just went to Thailand a few months ago and have to say it is nothing like what they cook up. That's expected. -We ordered won-ton soup. I didn't think they gave enough to be worth the price. No veggies, just broth and won-tons. Broth had flavored and won-tons were good. -We ordered one chicken pad thai, this ended up being my favorite dish. -We ordered pad ke mao with chicken and thought it was good, but not quite the flavor we were expecting with that dish. -We ordered pad see ew with beef, which we did not get. Instead we received another pad thai, but with beef. I wasn't as much of a fan of the beef pad thai. The quality of meat wasn't to my liking. But hey, I'm picky about good food. What can I say!?! ALSO, nothing was as spicy as we ordered it to be. Probably normal for Thai places to judge Americans on their knowledge of a slice star system, but I feel that if I order a 3star, it should have some bite. Anyways, good luck. I'd go with the Duvall Grill. Slightly more expensive, but some of the best food I've ordered in any restaurant. Surprising for such a small town! read more

I've been eating here since it's grand opening. I've eaten most of the menu items and have serious standouts and go tos. Chris at the front of house is a very great human being and it's a joy to see him. There is a reason they've been in business all these years. Amazing Thai food. I will say all the things. I've been spoiled and treated very well beginning from day one. My personal favorite at Thai Duvall has and will always be Mapraw Curry. Fresh baby coconut in a amazing green curry sauce. With prawns. The Thai ice tea is exceptional. And the hot tea has warmed me many a cold day. When people wonder about ambience? They ambience for me is pulling up, parking and walking up the steps I've walked up since the beginning. Being greeted my the chefs and our friends that were going to serve us amazing food mixed with love, sense of community and most of all true friendships. I still find it incredible that one of the best Thai restaurants in the greater Seattle area is a hole in the wall in Duvall, not a town exactly renowned for fine cuisine. We usually dine in and really appreciate the personal, friendly service. But of course during this "stay-at-home" time, take-out has been the only option. Either way, the food has remained fantastic. The panang curry has just the right balance of sweet and savory, with tender beef slices (if you order the beef). Phad thai is more on the sweet side, but the noodles are done perfectly and there's lots of flavor. Phad see-ew is fried nice and dark, for lots of great caramelized taste. But the one of the highlights is definitely the mango prawns, deep-fried crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and with a delicious mango sauce. We've eaten here dozens of times over the years and have never had a bad experience. I can believe some people have; after all, everyone has an off day once in awhile. But the odds of that happening here are clearly slim to none. If you're worried that dining out in rural East King County means having to give up good Asian fare, fear not. Yes! This hit the spot! We came in for dinner and a glass of wine. We ordered the crab wontons, Pad se ew, and lad nar. I haven't seen lad nar on a menu in a while so I had to get it! I also love Pad Se Ew. Thankfully my friend is a good sport and likes to share dishes. Any food came out fast and delicious. We came at about 4pm on a Tuesday so we had the place to ourselves. I was not feeling too well so instead of having something spicy I ordered something lighter. For starters, we had the classic fresh rolls, Thai iced coffee and Thai iced tea with coconut milk, and my hubby had the phad kee mao which is a spicy flat rice noodle dish with beef (meat of choice) and veggies. This is what I would normally get. It's a flavorful dish if you like something stir fried with good wok breath and Thai flavor. I got the won ton soup and ordered a side of jasmine rice with it. The fresh optional ginger slivers on top of the soup was a nice touch. It was a very comforting soup with a light clear broth with lots of won tons and fresh veggies. The fluffy jasmine rice was a good compliment to the soup. The fresh rolls were super delightful. Very fresh and flavorful and the peanut sauce was savory and paired well with the wrap. We have had mango sticky rice many times but today we wanted to try the roti which is a dessert crepe. So we had both. The roti was a round flaky doughy pastry lightly drizzled with sweat cream and cut into pizza like mini slices. A very simple dessert. We were so impressed by how good it was for the $2.95 price. Warm flaky light dough with sweet cream... it's absolutely divine! I can't imagine anyone not liking this yummy dessert! We have always enjoyed coming to this spot in Duvall. It's a cute little place and we always feel like we are eating at someone's home than at a restaurant. A very relaxing low key unassuming place run by a family. read more

We visited for dinner right when they opened in the evening. First strike, never a good sign when you walk into a restaurant and don't smell any food being cooked/prepped. Instead the place smelled heavily of cleaning chemicals. We ordered a fair amount of food for 5 people but were very disappointed with the majority of it. - Crab Rangoon: it was cold and tasty fishy - Spring Roll: also lukewarm - Pad See Ew, Massamum curry, pad Thai (we ordered a couple other dishes but I fail to remember which ones now): all ok were mediocre in flavor The staff were pleasant enough but we won't be back if we are feeling Thai. read more
