Yakisoba is too sweet to my liking, but I can see that many may like it. Service -3/5. Nothing to complain or compliment. Ambiance - 2/5. If they remodel a bit, it could look a lot nicer. Overall, I'd rate this place as 3 for people who is looking for sushi rolls, 2 for people who is looking for nigiri or more authentic sushi. Was craving teriyaki and ran into this restaurant. I had their bento box with chicken teriyaki. The teriyaki was nicely made and I enjoyed the sauce. The sushi was very well made as well. Although it was just a California roll, it was flavorful. Their gyoza was pretty good. I usually don't enjoy gyoza but theirs was pretty good. Their shrimp tempura was ehhh. Mine didn't taste that fresh. Their salad was good and dressing was pretty tasty. The service was good. The servers was nice and helpful. We were in a dinner rush so the food took a bit of time to make. The pricing of the food is a little bit on the pricier side. But I'd say the pricing isn't that bad. A new favorite has been found. If you like sushi do yourself a favor and go to Best in Duvall. They are usually pretty busy with takeout orders so order with extra time. They do have sit in dining as well, but not a lot and every time I have been there 3/4 of the folks are waiting for takeout. Now about the food. Generous cuts, beautiful presentation, perfect temperature when it arrived. Their wasabi is strong enough. We have a standing order and they always get it just right. This is the wor wonton soup I ordered. I even called the restaurant after I began eating to ask what vegetables they put in the war wonton, thinking there might've been a mistake. They listed the vegetables that are indeed in the soup, but there are about 2 tablespoons worth in 32 ounces of soup. The veggies in the soup are onion, carrot, cabbage, and zucchini. Did they run out of war wonton broth? Because this is clearly egg, flower soup or a base for a different soup. The broth is tasty, for sure. The three wontons were actually potstickers. This is the only dish I've ever ordered. Their other food must be good considering the four out of five stars. And I'm glad for that. But they need to change the description of their war, wonton soup online, especially since it's got egg. read more

"Best"? Maybe in Duvall downtown, but "only" seems for apt. Not sure if the Safeway area counts as Duvall, but if so, this would be the 2nd best place for teriyaki. It's fairly good, and the people are nice, so you get what you expect at such a place, if at a somewhat steep price. Id suggest not getting the teriyaki, though, because it's their sushi that really is very good and justifies the price. It might also be the "only" proper sushi here, but they do a lovely job at preparation and presentation. Don't be fooled by their Mexican origins; these guys are pros and clearly very devoted to their craft. From what I can tell, they source their fish as carefully as the best in the area, so you don't need to play it safe with the basic teriyaki. read more

For some reason we have always had take out from them. It has been a very fast service. We've had the yakisoba, different rolls, chicken teriyaki, fried rice, and some other noodles with beef. We went here around dinner time. We just moved to this city so it's quite exciting to explore new places to eat. This little gem had a regood dragon roll when we first ordered to go. So I suggested to dine in. We ordered a bento and a crazy unagi roll. The servings were a good portion that we had take home to eat the next day. This place has gone through new ownership and I'm afraid to say it is for the worse. While I appreciate some of the changes (online ordering and lower price point) I feel like the quality of the food has become the biggest offender. I'd rather pay more for higher quality ingredients. The teriyaki chicken no longer has those nice grill marks and instead looks like a sea of beige that is unappetizing. The teriyaki sauce also tasted very bland. The tempura was very stale and tasted like it was cooked before (maybe ahead of the dinner rush) and just kept warm. Same goes for the gyoza. Nothing we ordered tasted decent and we didn't even finish our dinner. The frozen tempura we get from Uwajimaya taste better. I seriously hope the new owners read the reviews because they will be losing business. We thought this was a one-off fluke and have ordered multiple times with the same results. Don't think I'll be coming back anytime soon and that's sad to say because we've been coming here for years. read more

We are grateful to have such a quality sushi bar locally and love all the variety they provide on their menu! We've sampled just about everything on the menu and have yet to be disappointed. The Seattle Needle is amazing - it's just a tower of sushi which is so fresh and delish! My husband loves their chicken katsu bento boxes. The tempura is light, crunchy and fresh. We love their Dynamite Roll, Spider Roll, Huka Huka roll - which they set on fire! Small place, and if you arrive 15 minutes after 8PM they will politely turn you away, so get there early or call and request take out if you think you'll be late - they make great rolls and the hosts and chefs are very polite and nice. read more

That and the quality of service get the three stars. Two removed because the quality of the simple teriyaki chicken and beef was nearly inedible. It tasted old, stale, and dry. There are some things that overages on sauce just can't hide. And we didn't get soy sauce for our sushi which was strange but there was a ton of sweet sauce already on our rolls so maybe that was the reason? For Teriyaki, go hit up Happy at the Bay down the street. For Chinese food, hit up some mediocre chow at Twin Dragon, for a couple of rolls that are decent, hit up this place.
