    Papaya Salad - Yum
    Rolando P.

On my first visit, I was greeted by a friendly welcoming lady - Pat. Walking in I kind of know the things I like already and usually test to see if the restaurant is worth another visit. The list is pretty simple and many have it: Spicy Beef Salad Boat Noodle Papaya Salad Mango Salad Chicken Rice Around here most restaurants won't offer boat noodle, mango salad or chicken rice but many will offer their take on the salad and papaya salad. Oddly Thai Fix doesn't have the salad but, but they have have boat noodle and papaya salad. I placed my order for a soup and salad at their highest heat level. The added heat makes the meal an adventure. I grow bird chilis at home and eat them right off the tree. While I waited I got an ice cold Singha, my order was ready within about 10-minutes. I said my thank yous and goodbyes and went on my way. When I got home I warmed the soup a bit and got to work. The broth was dark, rich and beefy with a notable heat. The beef in the soup was plentiful and tender while the rice noodles, though thinner than I like, went perfectly well with everything and was not sticky or clumpy. Overall the soup was great and well balanced. Best of all it was hot! I could go hotter but this was great. I am not a fan of ripe mango or papaya but unripe and treated with those delicious, savory Thai flavors is amazing! Once again level 10 heat, I made myself a little plate just to try it as I was already full from the soup. It was also really, really good, fresh, light, and crunchy with the prefect balance of acidity and heat! Everyone there was super nice and inviting. Can't wait to go back to try some on the other selections!

If I could give zero stars, I would. This was hands-down the worst Thai food I've ever had. I ordered the Crying Thaiger expecting flavorful, tender beef, but what I got was pale, mystery meat that looked more like pork or chicken--definitely not beef. The noodles? Literally Top Ramen with soy sauce. No depth of flavor, no real effort, just a sad, overpriced bowl of disappointment. Every single dish was a disaster, and I left feeling completely ripped off. Do yourself a favor and spend your money elsewhere.

My 1st time here. Pleasantly surprised! Super sweet service by the woman at the counter. Prompt and friendly service. We shared a chicken pad Thai and crab Rangoon. Everything tasted fresh and seasoned well. The portions were generous. Chicken pad Thai could have had more chicken. Be sure to ask for extra spice on the side. They'll then pull out a refrigerated 4-some spice and seasoning basket. Add your own blend from here to whatever dish you're having to kick it up a notch. Yum! Easy spacious parking. I'll be back!! They participate in GrubHub.

We absolutely LOVED our experience at Thai Fix! We have ordered take out from here before but never dined inside. We are SO happy we did. The staff was beyond wonderful. So attentive and sweet. The yellow curry was PERFECT (spice level 3) ! It was the kids favorite! We also loved the chicken chow mein, veggie fried rice and pad Thai. Such a cute small restaurant. Perfect spot for a nice intimate dining experience!

There's better Thai options available in RSM and FHR. This place is decent but that's about it.

It is clean, the staff is so friendly, they are efficient and the food was so good and fresh. Parking was easy and it was easy to find in the center. As a professional dating coach and a full‑time food lover, I take my restaurant scouting very…read moreseriously. My job is to help you avoid the tragic first‑date mistakes I've already made, like the overpriced spots, the bland dishes, the "why is this chair attacking my spine?" seating. I've wasted the time, energy and money on the other loser spots so you don't have to. But when I find a place that's clean, visually appealing, thoughtfully designed, and serving food that's actually seasoned, cooked well, and plated with pride? Oh, I'm shouting it from the rooftops. So let me put you on to my latest discovery: DIHO SIAM, right in the heart of Ladera Ranch. If you've followed me on Yelp for a while, you already know I'm a lifelong Thai‑food fanatic. I've been loyal to Thai cuisine longer than some people stay loyal in relationships. Since I wasn't trying to overeat, I ordered an appetizer, and let me tell you, this "appetizer" came out looking like a BIG FULL-GROWN lunch. I'm not a big white‑meat gal, so I asked if they had anything with dark meat. I ended up with chicken wings and drumsticks in a sweet‑and‑sour sauce. The moment I cut into that chicken? I ascended. The breading had that perfect balance...not too salty, not too bland...crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. I'm not saying I had a foodie‑induced spiritual experience, but if I did, nobody needed to know. One look at the rest of the menu and I knew I'd be back. Yes, I will absolutely make the 45‑minute drive to try their lunch dishes. It's worth it. And the prices? Shockingly reasonable considering the economy is basically held together with duct tape and vibes. Now, my one note for the owners: please, for the love of all things holy and iced... offer a dairy‑free Thai iced tea option. It was 94° today, and I was ready to down two giant glasses, but they only use half‑and‑half. This is California. We are oat‑milk, soy‑milk, almond‑milk, "I'm‑on‑Ozempic‑don't‑judge‑me" people. Give the people what they want. Add oat milk to the menu, put a cute little 4x5 flyer in a clear acrylic stand on each table announcing your new dairy‑free Thai iced tea, and watch customers flock to it. And just to close this out on a high note: I'm 100% coming back to Diho Siam. There are way too many dishes on that menu calling my name, and I fully intend to answer. Consider this my official teaser...I'll be updating my Yelp Elite Squad review after my next visit, and trust me, people wait for those updates like they wait for a second date after a great first one. I might even give you an extra star and make it a Five-Star review! Wink! wink! Stay tuned, because this place has officially earned a spot on my "must‑return" list. And don't forget to give me a thumbs up or a heart if you like my reviews and follow me!

OMFG this place is good. We are big Thai food fans but this was our first time at Manaao. You have…read moreto get on the waitlist on Yelp because there is always a wait. Once seated, you'll notice the menu if full of items that you rarely see here in the USA but we have had in Bangkok. We ordered 4 items for 4 people even though in Thailand you always eat family style. I selected the first 3 and asked the waiter to select the 4th based on my first 3 choices. That was a good idea. I chose Kao Soi Noodles, Dry Boat Noodles, and Crab Fried Rice based on Yelp reviews. My server, Veerawan, chose Fried Fish Fillet in Spicy Herb Salad. The Kao Soi Noodles came with several pieces of perfectly fried crabs and a bundle of crispy noodles. Underneath that was a delicious yellow curry on soft noodles. The fried bits were not greasy and the coating well seasoned. The yellow curry noodles were so delicious and rich that I couldn't put my chopsticks down. The Crab Fried Rice should be mandatory. Instead of a stir fry of rice and eggs with some surimi, at Manaao the entire cap of the fried rice mound is covered with lump crab meat. At first I thought $24 was expensive, now I think it's a steal. Look at my picture! The flavor was spot on too, the rice was chewy, the crab flavor throughout but you also get mouthfuls of crab without the hassle of shells. It comes with a lime wedge but also this spicy, tangy lime sauce that just sends the dish to the moon. The name of the restaurant is lime in Thai so they are supporting their brand with this sauce. Bottle this stuff! The Dry Boat Noodle was our least favorite but not because it wasn't tasty. The ingredients were braised beef and morning glory and meatballs. Because we messed with the recipe and ordered it dry (I didn't want two soups) the meatballs were cold-to-room-temp and flavorless. The noodles were some kind of special noodle too, that required the soup to separate. This dish should not be ordered dry. It's an easy fix since we all splashed some of the broth they knowingly brought on the side to wake it up. The broth is rich and should not be missed, so don't skip on this dish just because it was my third out of four dishes. The Fried Fish Fillet in Spicy Herb Salad was the unexpected plot twist. This scored very high in all the major Thai flavor categories of spicy, sweet, salty and sour. You get the benefit of lots of snake head fish without the chore of avoiding bones. The coating on the fried fish pieces were coated in the delicious sauce. Since it's technically a salad underneath and the fish is mixed with all those fresh herbs and large cashews, you get a dish that is one-of-a-kind. I would order this again in a heartbeat. I wrote too much already so I'm not going to say anything about the service and ambience except they both get 5 of 5 stars. Perfect, perfect, perfect.
