Went for lunch, what a nice spot! Quiet during the lunch hours, a few take outs but otherwise the place was ours. Great service as a result, not pushy at all and very kind. The food was very tasty, and well spiced. The menu was filled with Thai specialties, and they had lunch specials as well. Will definitely be going back sometime for dinner!

Surprisingly we were the only patrons during dinner on a Saturday, however, plenty of people came in for their take always. The cream cheese rolls were delicious! Came out hot, crispy, and creamy. However, the dishes to follow were too salty and bland. Maybe we're spoiled given our recent trip from Thailand. Then seeing previous reviews made it clear it's hit or miss here.

As you can see my spring rolls only have 2 pieces of shrimp and are entirely filled with lettuce . I picked this option over another dish for protein and I think it's actually ridiculous that I paid for this. It's not mindful of yal that people already make minimum wage so for my order including tip to be 35$ for 2 things and a drink just to be pure lettuce is very disappointing. The pad Thai was good however there's also microscopic pieces of chicken. It's not worth the price to be honest they're so stingy with the protein ! Not cool. Wish I didn't tip.

Excellent food and service. I stumbled upon Thai Pepper by accident when I was in the neighborhood. Even though it is a distance from my home I will gladly ride the bus to dine here again. After looking at several menu options I settled on the Pad Thai with Chicken. A standard Thai dish I thought to use this as my baseline for future visits. The portion was substantial and I knew I would be taking some home for more meals. I squeezed the lime which gave the dish an additional citrus kick. Next time I will also ask for Siracha or chili oil to add to the dish. The overall flavor was good, the noodles were excellent, the chicken just right; I really enjoyed the dish. I was the only person in the restaurant, but several people came in for take-out orders. The music was at a good level. Not too loud or soft, but just right. On my next visit I will order the TomYum Soup. It's a hot and sour soup which is something I enjoy. I will definitely be visiting again.

Stir fry with tomatoes, cucumber, onion and I chose shrimp. My friend ha stir fry too, with chicken.

Very nice place for food, ambience and conversation. Had lunch here and was pleasantly surprised at their menu. You can pick your heat, I had medium (perfect) and my friend had mild (perfect). You order stir fry etc. and then the type of meat. ALL GOOD. Good parking in a busy area. If you are looking for good Thai food, this is the place for you.

Thai pepper is an awesome spot tucked into a bit of a corner on Robert Street. The food was outstanding, I got the beef Pad Thai, medium spice level, and it was perfectly prepared. The spice level was good, not insanely hot, but definitely present and added some nice flavor. The veggies seemed crunchy and fresh, and the beef was nicely seasoned. The lime on the side finished it off with a perfect tangy kick. The online order system was super easy, and I was able to pick it up my order through their drive thru, which was also super smooth and easy. The pricing was very fair, and the portions were large, which I loved. The best part of all - they gave me a free tea with my order, which I believe was berry flavor. It had a lychee berry on the bottom which was a fun little touch. Definitely check out Thai Pepper if you're in West St. Paul!

Rubbery beef with water in it.... No flavor.... Not simmered in curry sauce.

Wow.... Just had the worst Thai takeout from Thai Pepper.... No wonder it's empty. I ordered takeout before and it was ok but not any more.... Pad Thai thrown together with giant egg chunks. Rama Curry with Beef that was disgusting.... Nothing was simmered in the curry sauce. The beef was tasteless with no sauce, vegetables barely cooked and cold, again not simmered in sauce. They put the ingredients in a bowl and put thick, cold curry sauce on it.

Sitting on their little patio (there's only a couple spots to park in back if you choose this unless you walk here).

Horrible. Tasteless. We order "medium" as we enjoy spice, it was a Minnesota mild at best. Will never be back.

We sat outside and it was well shaded and despite being hot out we didn't feel it that bad. We got the basil wings, drunken undon, laab seen, and pork fried rice... not a single bad bite across everything we ate. Someone of the crispest wings I've ever had ... good crunch and wet juicy insides.... The udon was DRUNK as hell and deliciously tangy The laab was so good... we need more sliced beef ... minty fresh and so good with the lettuce wraps and sticky rice Then the pork fried rice... great fried rice with pork belly AND sausage? Get out of town. This feel like the kind of place you could come to weekly and have a different meal each time.

A squeeze of lime brightens the whole bowl and keeps every bite balanced. What I love most is how layered the flavors are. It's creamy, savory, a little spicy, and somehow still feels light enough that you keep going back for another bite. Gai Noi continues to prove why it's one of the Twin Cities' best restaurants, and this dish is a perfect example of why. This is the kind of bowl you'll be craving before you even leave the restaurant.
