We chose this restaurant based on reviews on Yelp and elsewhere. The place was nearly empty at 5 when we arrived, but by 6 most of the booths were occupied. Some patrons picked up carryout orders while we were there; the boba teas seemed popular. There's an extensive menu with lots of tempting choices. We weren't feeling particularly adventurous, so I ordered chicken Pad Thai and my husband chose Teriyaki chicken. His meal came with sides of soup and salad, but there was no choice of soup. He was told only onion soup came with the meal. The soup was mostly a salty broth, and not good. The salad was iceberg lettuce with a peanut-flavored dressing. My husband said his main course dish was good. I tried the noodles and veggies on his plate. The noodles were good. My Pad Thai was on the sweet side, and could have used more lime to balance this than the small wedge I was given. The amount of food served was more than adequate. While we were waiting for our food to arrive, a 6-legged friend joined us at the table. I don't get freaked out by cockroaches, but it certainly wasn't expected given the place seemed clean. read more

I'm in Mobile overnight for business. After a workout at Planet Fitness, I picked up dinner from Thai Fusion. From the outside, you may wonder what this place is like and IS the food good. Well, I can tell you the inside is much nicer than the outside and the food is amazing! I have a LOT of Thai in my life and this is right at the top. The pineapple fried rice was perfect, as were the summer rolls with tofu. The peanut sauce was so flavorful. Portion sizes were great for the price. Stopped for the night in Mobile, Alabama. Decided we would have sushi, even though it is Easter Sunday. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door. We were told to sit anywhere. Our cute tiny waitress came immediately to our table and took our drink order(water) they don't have a liquor license. We ordered crab and cucumber salad. There was plenty for two of us. The marinade was really good. We ordered a longbeach roll, super rainbow and spicy crawfish. They looked so yummy and we were hungry so we didn't get a picture but all of them were really good. To top off our dinner they offered Thai donuts. I was intrigued so we ordered one order. Since they were only $2.95 we were expecting 2 max. There were 5 on the plate. My husband ordered the orange chicken and I went for a simple Pad Thai with extra bean sprouts and lime. When it was brought out the dishes were pleasant to look at as well as smell. The taste was even better! Literally, the best Thai food we've eaten anywhere. The coating on the orange chicken was as light and crispy as we have ever experienced. Among walking in to the 'seat yourself' restaurant we were told we were sitting in the wrong section. We ordered shrimp summer/spring/fresh rolls, and beef pho. 2 full size rolls were good, and the peanut sauce was good, but a tiny amount. My husband doesn't eat much peanut sauce, but he said there wasn't enough. The broth of the pho was very very yummy. However, the beef was, well, awful. The server said the small pieces were boiled first and then put in the pho. I've never had beef pho prepared like that, and would NEVER order it again. I couldn't even tell it was beef! The server was friendly and efficient, and apparently the only front worker. We brought our own wine, which helped me stomach the beef. If we go again, I'd definitely not get beef pho again. I hope the chef reads this and prepares the dish with raw steak that cooks in the broth when it's brought to you, like the other 20+ restaurants I've been to. I've eaten here a few times and they have really good sushi and prices are decent. I really like the chicken Tom Kha soup and crab Rangoon are good. Hibachi plates are pretty good too and I love the rice with a side of yum yum sauce that comes with it. Only things I haven't liked so far is tha Pad Thai and the Pho. Oh Thai tea is good here! This was our first time to come here since Benja's left and we loved it. The food is made with fresh ingredients. They have lunch specials that come with either the coconut soup or onion soup. Both tasted good. I had the lunch red curry and it was wonderful. The curry was not watery and the vegetables were crisp. The cook delivered our food and was more than happy to aim to please.
