A few friends and I came here for dinner (around 7pm) according to their listed hours they close at 9pm. However when we arrive we were the ONLY ones in the restaurant, and we were RUSHED! The worker kept coming to the table asking us "ready yet. Ready yet??" Every few minutes. She then stood there and said "okay tell me what you want" when we were clearly still looking through the menu. Then she asked us "how long do you plan to stay!?" Like, hunny we are the ONLY ones in here. And it seems our patronage isn't appreciated We stayed for maybe 40-50mins total. And the one worker NEVER refilled our water once. We were also not very impressed with the flavors of our food. The restaurant is BEAUTIFUL inside, but honestly I probably won't return because it just wasn't an enjoyable experience. (Of note around 8:15 a couple came in and were turned away by her because "it's too late for the kitchen to make new meals". Delicious early dinner on a Monday. I ordered the fresh Summer Rolls. I could tell the vegetables in it were fresh and rolled when ordered. The peanut dipping sauce complemented the appetizer nicely. For my meal, I had the Spicy Pineapple Curry with Shrimp. Nice heat and superb flavor. The rice was fresh and provided the filling coolness to the spicy curry. Restaurant had beautiful decor and the service was great. Wasn't busy at all because I went before the dinner crowd. If I had to complain about anything, I guess there could have been a few more shrimp. But still a really satisfying dinner read more

This place is a hidden gem in every sense. Not visible from the road but you step inside and the atmosphere makes you feel like royalty. The service was quick and easy and our food came out unbelievably fast. We got the green curry, pad thai, chicken satay and crab rangoons. All of which were great. The menus is vast. There is a vegan section/options. The food was good (needed just a bit of seasoning on the proteins) but overall it was delicious. I had the silver Noodle Salad and the Egg Drop Soup (sorry no pic of the soup.... It was gone as soon as it hit the table). The service was attentive and communicative, but it was only one server for the entire restaurant (this wasn't a bad thing due to it being a slow night). I went to this business recently for Thai Tea. We called ahead of time to try and place an order for 2 teas. The lady on the phone told us they only did phone orders for food, which was fine. We get there and are the only two customers in there. We ask for the teas for the lady at the counter to reply: "We only do phone orders for food. You need to learn to be patient." This comment was extremely uncalled for, especially for there to only be us in there. My thai tea is good but a little too sweet for my preference. Loved Thai Time! My family and I am in Mobile for the day so we decided to check out Thai Time. The restaurant is located behind Kurabi Bubble Tea and might be hard to find but is so worth the hunt! Our server, who I believe is also the owner, was so nice and helpful. She answered all our questions and was very attentive. We ordered Tom Kha, Pineapple Fried Rice, Crab Rangoons, Papaya Salad, and Pad See Ew. All of the items can be customized with a spice level ranging from 1 to 5. Everything was delish!!! I'm from Houston, TX which is a major foodie city and I'd say that Thai Time's food was just as good if not better than some of the Thai establishments that we've dined at in Houston. Not the mention the prices are so good here, especially for quality Thai food. None of the dishes are more than $16! We were given hefty portions of our entrees as well. Amazing restaurant! So happy I found, was driving through town and ordered to go. I was amazed how beautiful the place was once i walked inside. The owner did seem to be a little abrasive at first but then once talking with her a little she was lovely. I didn't see anyone else in the restaurant so it's a nice quiet atmosphere. I ordered the Tom Ka Gai, not as sour as i'm used to but it was delicious, her summer rolls were perfect, and a thai salad. Will be back for a date night soon! read more

As for the service, it was fine and thought the server was friendly until the she became intrusive by asking where my companion was and what was she doing when I said she went to the restroom. She shockingly said "AGAIN!" And because she was friendly, I jokingly said that maybe my companion was playing ('coz really, what else could a person be doing there but "#1" or "#2." Then, she instructed me to go and checked up on her because she didn't want her to play there. I told her she was not playing in the restroom and she was fine. Came in around 11 50a and there was not a person in sight. We sat ourselves based on the sticker on the sign. After 6 mins or so we decided to call and were finally greeted by a lady who told us we needed to ring the bell at the bar and that they are very busy (maybe online orders?). Honestly I'm surprised I stop by here everytime I'm in town for Costco and they never seem busy. They should be because the food is SO GOOD! They have a special section of the menu that is vegan! While I'm plant-based, wild horses couldn't drag me away from the fish sauce ingredient in Thai papaya salads and curries. We saw a post on Facebook about the new management/new name of this restaurant, so we decided to give it a try. We started off with the spring rolls. However, they weren't yummy and tasted like they were mass produced and frozen as the cabbage was mushy and there wasn't much flavor. Thank goodness we only only ordered one order of them. (Usually I like to have 2-3 spring rolls all for me because I'm a spring roll fanatic). Then we ordered the papaya salad. It was a tad too much on the sweet side but I ate it all. Warning - the spice ratings are hugely conservative. Level 1-5. I ordered spice level 5 and sadly, it was mild. I wondered if the waitress wrote down 1 instead of 5. I hope management will consider using fresh and dry chilies with real heat. My dining companion ordered the crunchy chicken which he enjoyed very much. He ate the whole thing with a grin as big as the Cheshire Cat. He was so full he didn't even eat cookies when we got back home - and that guy always ends his night with cookies and milk. He also enjoyed the house salad with a delicious creamy ginger dressing. Also ordered the panang curry and it was.. just alright. The temperature of the curry was barely warm (I love to be served piping hot curry!) and the curry itself was mostly a gravy, portion-wise (served in a shallow bowl) with vegetables. There wasn't much of a flavor to it. I was hoping to have thai basil in my curry and the flavors of kefir lime leaves and galangal root and birds eye chili peppers. If we return, I may try a soup. Hopefully it will be served steaming hot. And I will probably bring my own chili peppers from home to add to it. read more

Will absolutely be coming back!!!! I have frequented the boba shop out front since moving to mobile and was SO excited to realize the restaurant behind was finally open for business- especially since there was no good Thai option in town. Thai Time was absolutely delicious and we had great service. What I personally loved is that the back of the menu had an entirely vegan section and the waitress was familiar with vegan needs and made great recommendations. The flavor was took notch and the tofu had an excellent consistency without being oily or tasting burnt (that's my criticism of the other Thai place in town I tried). I will absolutely come back and hope to try the Massaman curry next time. read more

This is a nice place to eat Thai food that you won't regret going to and will be full when you leave. It's tucked back so kind of hard to find just trust the GPS it will get you there eventually. We had 6 of us on our bikes and in full gear with cuts so at first we got the side eye from everyone but that changed when our server walked up and just jumped right into serving us with smiles and jokes she was awesome and made the whole night worth the stop. Our food was good I wish I had asked everyone to take pictures but by this time we were all starving and just dove into anything that landed on the table. We had Lots of, if not all the appetizers and none of them were a disappointment. My favorite was actually the dumplings and spring rolls and I'm not big on them but they were fresh and delicious. Our meals were varieties of soups, noodles and fried dishes all awesome we traded back and forth to sample and everyone agreed it was well worth the price for the portion and the flavors didn't disappoint. They don't serve alcohol so be prepared for that minor hiccup Bikers love our drinks but we can be happy with Thai Coffee just as well which was really good. When you go tell them that the biker "1/2 Time" sent ya. It won't get you anything but it will let them know I was true to my word and did submit a good review. read more

P lease do not confuse this with the wonderfully flavored food that Bangkok provided. The only similarity between the two is the location. First off, the service was fantastic. However, we were the only ones eating at 5:30 pm so maybe a little early for the dinner rush. Of course having Bangkok in my mind, same menu pretty much but increased prices. Of course, price increases everywhere right? I don't mind paying for good food but come on people. Ordered: fried wontons, summer rolls, Tom Kai soup, egg drop soup, and nam sod. The fried wontons were tightly rolled and overcooked rendering them tough. Difficult to bite. They actually could have been re-fried but unacceptable at best. Summer rolls were flavorless, just like eating plain grass with 2 unflavored shrimp. The Tom Kai soup was seriously lacking flavor. This soup did not contain any coconut milk or pungent flavors such as lemongrass. It was an over salted watered down vegetable stock with 1 piece of mushroom floating. The nam sod just as the other foods lacked flavor. Just some microwaved ground pork and purple onion. There were no peanuts or cucumber contained within this dish. The accompanying lettuce provided to go with this dish was nothing more than bagged shredded lettuce. I enjoy the larger pieces of lettuce to eat as lettuce wraps. There wasn't much of this eaten, so I decided I would try later and found a 3" piece of wire located in dish. Looked like part of a paper clip. We never tasted the egg drop soup and surely they didn't foul that up also. But bottom line is.....I will NEVER return to this restaurant again. I will be actively looking for another Thai restaurant in town. I sincerely suggest you do the same unless you have a taste for nothing and don't mind wasting money. Succeeded my boyfriend and I's already high expectations by a MILE! We were promptly seated by a male server with a contagious smile and cheerful attitude. We started with the edamame and egg rolls for appetizers, and for our entrees we enjoyed the Pho Chicken and Pad Thai. Presentation/Portions were phenomenal and the taste was even better! Not only that, but it was overall a very inexpensive meal and we had plenty to take home (which we ended up eating as our "second dinner" despite being very full, it was just that great). We were staying in Mobile as we were taking a cruise from the port there. We had seen the sign but there was another business in front of it. So glad we stopped there. There was my husband and I, also our granddaughter, who goes to the college there. We all ordered different things. And of course, we had a taste of each other's food. Everything was so good. The service was not rushed, even though we realized that we arrived close to the closing time. Our server was very nice. We asked him let the cook know how much we like the food. He did let her know. That's when we found out it was his stepmom. He did tell her, and she appreciated the compliments. The next time we are in Mobile we plan to eat there again. Stopped in for lunch today on a whim, and had a great overall experience. The host was quick to greet us at the door, and took our drink order immediately. Food, appetizer, and drinks were brought to us very quickly. I had the Pad Thai noodles with chicken, it was delicious. The presentation was excellent. The noodles and the sauce were perfect, as were the bean sprouts and veggies. The chicken was a tad dry, but not enough to alter the meal. My company ordered the sweet and sour chicken with white rice. The presentation was excellent, and the rice was perfect. The chicken was tender and delicious, but a bit cold. This may have been due to the sauce, or due to the fact that I may have waited a bit too long to try it as I was busy scarfing down the wonderful pad Thai! The ambience and decor of the restaurant was wonderful. Everything was clean and seemed to fit an authentic Thai setting. It was a bit darker in the restaurant, which coupled with the elegant decor makes this feel more like a dinner space than a lunch one - though we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch here. The elegance of the decor made me think that the food would be overly expensive, but everything on the menu was well priced. Great food, great service, great ambience.
