We were visiting from out of town and decided to try Siam Thai Cuisine after seeing a few Thai spots around town. Glad we picked this one because every dish we ordered was excellent. The kids loved the fried rice -- simple dish but they nailed the flavor perfectly. One of my kids ordered the Nam Tok Nue, which came with thinly sliced ribeye and sautéed vegetables, and it ended up being his favorite dish of the night. The Pad Kee Mao was also really good, especially with how well the basil tied everything together. The real standout for me was the Tom Yum soup. We ordered it at spice level 5 and it had the perfect kick. Most of our dishes were around spice level 3-4, which was very manageable for us. If you're used to authentic Thai spice levels, I'd probably recommend going closer to a 7. Overall, really solid food across the board and definitely worth checking out if you're craving Thai food. read more

Had a good first experience here! The pad thai is really flavorful and a solid option. The prices were reasonable considering the larger portion size, I took like half of it home. This was my first time trying mango sticky rice and I would definitely recommend at least trying once here. Anyone can have an off night, tonight was that night for Siam (PRO TIP included below). Our waiter who started with us did a great job, however the girl who brought our check, not so good. We were seated right away, plenty of room on a Wednesday night at 6ish. We ordered drinks, and pot stickers to start. The Pot stickers were tasty and 5 of them, plenty for an appetizer for two people. Next, we ordered Pad Thia, she got chicken 1 out of 5 spice level and I had Beef and 4 out of 5 for spice level. Both of us needed more spice despite ordering the same spice level as our last visit. It could have been weak seasoning but ok, no real issue. (Pro tip, always check) When it came time for our check, we asked for it and when it came it was 100% correct, I put my credit card down for payment she ran my card and gave me back someone else's credit card and check. I alerted her and it is a good thing as those people were ready to leave and had already put my credit card in her purse without looking at the credit card. I will be checking my credit card statement to make sure she got it right. This happened to me years ago and my card was gone as those people left the restaurant with it and since then, the first thing I do is look at the credit card to make sure it is mine. Stopped by for lunch and was happy to see that they have a really affordable lunch menu. Price was around $11 and included a soup or salad and small appetizer. I got spring roll for my app and Tom Kha soup. My entree was Sweet and Sout Chicken. Everything seemed so light and fresh. It was perfect for lunch. Service was exceptional also. I wasn't very hungry but I knew I needed something. Not sure what to get I remembered I hadn't been to Siam in a while. I had never really had many of their appetizers but I decided to try them. When I was scrolling through appetizers,the shumai dumpling sounded amazing. The basil rolls to round it out seemed obvious. I ordered my food and headed toward Siam. When I got there I was greeted by staff. My food was already ready. I headed home. The first thing I noticed about the shumai was how perfectly the dumplings were shaped. It looked artistic. I believe the shumai comes with Siam sauce but I for some reason didn't bother with it. To be very honest, they didn't need it. These dumplings were so delicious I could eat them everyday. And as for the basil rolls, they were good as well. They weren't as delicious as the shumai but they were quality basil rolls. Lil' Pug and I are headed for Tom Kha soup. My current favorite being 3Flavors we head there, Holy Tuesday Batman!! They are closed for the day. Now we wander around town discussing where we can get the soup we, er I, need so bad. We land at this little spot on Hillcrest, we used to eat here years ago when it was a different spot. Well the atmosphere was perfect, relaxing and not feeling at all like the strip mall it is in. My hats off to the decorator. Service was spot on and the soup, ah the soup, has been crowned my new favorite, but because they have a special that includes soup I was also able to enjoy the crispy chicken. This was a new to me dish and I will have it again. Lil' Pug enjoyed hers as well as a sushi roll that we split. Great food, super service, and a completely enjoyable visit, we will make the drive across town to eat here again for sure. read more

My husband wanted some thai food for his birthday so he picked this place which we'd never been to before. It's located in a little strip mall and inside is nicely decorated and clean. I will say the booth was a little small usually at other places my adult son and I are comfortable on one side but here felt a little squished. The service was very attentive and they filled our glasses a few times. We had the crab Rangoon and calamari for appetizers both we've had at other places. we liked the crab rangoon a lot, shell was crispy and it had a bit of sweetness to it. The calamari was a tad chewy and I think the breading overpowered it a bit. Still good however. For dinners, husband had Pad Thai level 4 spice (he loves spicy) which he liked, son had crab fried rice-good portion and lots of bits of crab and I had beef lomein noodles-level 1 spice because I can't tolerate it at all. It was flavorful without being spicy. 2 of us had the soup and one had the salad. We felt whatever spice was in the soup was really strong and didn't care for it, but if you liked that particular flavor you'd probably enjoy it. The salad was fresh. I found this place about a year ago and have been back many times. The service is friendly, fast, and attentive. The live piano music is charming and not overbearing. I don't know how we've missed this place in the past. We've even been in the shopping center and just didn't see it. I don't get it. But man, am I glad we tried it. It's easy to get to and has plenty of parking. When you walk in, you are greeted with a pleasant decor and nice music (we stayed a little longer just to hear the Rio Bossa Nova playing in the place). It was a team effort by the staff to make you absolutely comfortable and well cared for. Service was the best I have had in years. Food was prepped quickly, it was delicious and warm. As soon as a plate was done it was picked up. Drinks were refilled before they were empty. I cannot think of a more pleasant service in years. I had Par Kee Mao with tofu. Simply delicious. My wife had the crab fried rice, which had lump crab meat and was very very tasty. The only drawback and still keeping mg the 5th star because of service was the spice level could have been a bit higher. Will we be back? That's a silly question. First time visiting this place. Stopped in on a weekday. Beautiful interior with nice lighting and fresh roses on each table and throughout the restaurant. The service was phenomenal. I got the crunchy chicken, ginger salad, and soup. It was delicious. My son ordered the Siam sushi roll with soup and we ordered a side of wontons. Best wontons I've had. Crispy and light. Really a "zero star" situation. Someone keeps leaving the website for this restaurant on the Yelp page of a restaurant of the same name in Chicago. When you "order online" via the Yelp page of the restaurant in Chicago, it defaults to THIS restaurant thousands of miles away. I called this restaurant to bring it to their attention and ask them to cancel my order and refund me, which they have yet to do (it's been 5 days). A man at the Chicago Siam Thai cuisine said they don't have a website, so I edited their Yelp page to remove this Alabama restaurant's link. It was there again today. The owner of the Chicago place thinks it's a scam, and I agree. Someone is scamming money out of customers, for sure. read more
