Clean. Very clean. Thank you. Fresh. The food was fresh, not versus frozen, but rather versus old. There is nothing I hate more than stir fried food that isn't at the peak of freshness. It gets a flavor that I can't stand. This is a quaint and small restaurant that seems to have a large takeout following. As you enter, you notice its smells like freshly cooked and cooking food. The sizzle from the grill can be heard throughout the restaurant and you can see enough of the kitchen and the floor to know it's thoroughly cleaned often. A photo of one of the past kings is prominently displayed and the decor is very modern. This is a good place for a date or a family dinner. It's versatile. I had my fave, pineapple fried rice with shrimp. It was so good, I kept taking bites after I was full and now I am paying the price. I'm as bloated as Violet in Willie Wonka when she ate the blueberry gum. I may be uncomfortable, but I'm still looking forward to leftovers tomorrow. I also had the Tom Ka combination seafood soup, another favorite. This was as tasty as my usual in the SF Bay Area but with one difference, the seafood was more plentiful and the scallops were super tender. The only favorite I didn't get was the coffee. I can't do that much caffeine at night and still sleep. I have my leftovers for tomorrow and maybe I will get over there for coffee at lunch time. I highly recommend this place and will be taking my gf, a local, there for lunch often. Oh and Emily, the waitress, is fantabulous. Friendly and helpful is such a good combination. read more

Terrible. Food was awful. No flavor. No spice. No satay sauce provided. 3rd try. I've had wonderful Thai. Not here.

Went to the restaurant to get pad thai and had to order online due to their cc reader being down. No big deal. I wanted to eat there but bc I ordered online, they gave it to go. Again, not a big deal. The female working was nice and smiled a lot. I got it back to eat it and saw that it was a pretty healthy portion but wish they would have included lime. I got 2 star on the spicy level which was perfect for me; a little heat but not too hot. The food was fine...not great but decent and probably what you'd expect from Thai food in Southern OR. The issue I had was with the to-go packaging. The foil, which probably helped keep the food warm, tore when I got toward the bottom. I had to fish out pieces of foil from the noodles. I have been here 6/8 times in 4 years and always liked the food. But something has changed & the menu is one. It no longer offers my favorite PraRam with thick peanut sauce. But ok I love anything with peanut sauce & I ordered mixed veggies & tofu with peanut sauce. But where was the sauce? It was watered down so much that the food did not even have any peanut flavor at all! And the egg rolls were very small. Plenty of food to take half home where I made my own sauce to complete the meal. Maybe they have a new chef? They never even asked if everything was alright. The rude blonds waitress is typically entitled and was put out when I asked for protein on the side. Even owner was too greedy to put it in a box instead of inside order. Another great dining experience @ Thai Garden in Central Point, OR.! It's been a while since I had the pleasure of grabbing a meal here. I was pleasantly impressed once again by the wonderful service and flavorful food I enjoyed tonight. The restaurant itself is on the smaller size, but comfy, cozy and clean. I love the huge windows that let in natural light and real plants hanging above the dining area. They also have a designated 'mascot' who likes to be solo in their fish tank right up front. I think this little restaurant serves up some of the best Thai food in the Valley. I've probably eaten at over a dozen local establishments and I always get a hankering for here. Every dish I've tried I enjoy to its fullest. The staff is always attentive and kind, the chefs in back are always busy. The ingredients used seem to be very fresh and prepared to order. It's also cool how they will make any dish with all white chicken too w/up charge. Another treat I enjoy here is their Thai iced tea. This small restaurant off of pine on 3rd street is a hidden gem! Not only is it staffed by some of the loveliest people. The food is amazing as well. I always feel like family when I walk in. Excellent Thai food and service. Up in southern Oregon for a wedding, it was nice to get some good Asian food. Having a finicky kid means it's noodles and fried rice and Thai Garden did not disappoint. Their lunch specials are generous in portions and the ambiance is clean and well appointed. Extremely unfriendly waitress (Thai?). Wouldn't have expected it cuz Thai people are usually cool. Food is sub standard. Gross "salad" they give you with gross yellow dressing. Spring rolls were dull. Place has the worst acoustics. I keep going back here hoping they'll see the reviews and shape up! Food is not good here. I've been wanting to try Thai Garden for a while and finally did today. My summary: hot, fresh and delicious food! Just go! I didn't know about the many lunch specials, which made my choice even easier: $13.95 for a small salad, small egg roll, and good sized entree with choice of white or brown steamed rice. I ordered the cashew chicken w/ white rice, which was plenty for lunch. My Thai iced team, served in small frosty mug, was good, too, but not as flavorful as other Asian restaurants in the area. That's okay -- the food was more important! I think Thai Garden must do a lot of takeout business, because the space for dining in is small and there aren't a lot of tables. (It's sort of hidden, too, so I think it's more for locals.) But, no problem.... I got there a little before 1 pm and there were more than a few choices in terms of where to sit. I'll be back sooner than later because there are a lot more dishes that I want to try! read more

Great Thai food! I ordered the spicy noodles with one more step up in heat, which was perfect! Great flavor!!! Perfect amount of chicken and vegetables. Ordering for pick up was an easy experience and everything was ready and packed at my chosen pick up time. Staff was friendly and efficient. Note: parking is a little tricky as there are limited spaces along the street and other three spaces to the left (south) of the restaurant. We went to Thai Garden for the first time last night. We ate in. Unfortunately I completely forgot to take any photos, but trust me the food looks as fabulous as it tastes. Started with some Chicken Potstickers - crisp skins and juicy, soft filling. Then, knowing that we would be leftovers home, we ordered Orange Chicken, Pad Prik King with beef, Spicy Noodles with Chicken, and Thai Fried Rice with Beef. This is the best Asian food I have had in many, many years. My mouth is watering writing this. And the service was fantastic. We were told there was a 45 minutes delay in the kitchen to get our food, but we didn't even notice it - we received menus and water as soon as we sat, then our Tsingtao beers came immediately. Potstickers were hot on their heels, and we didn't feel any delay with our Entrees - I hate being rushed anyway. Beautiful, smiling faces served us. While we were there the Take Out traffic was constant. Definitely a local favorite. It's a 45 minutes drive for us, from Wimer, but I would definitely get take out from here (probably organize it around a Medford trip) as it's worth the drive. Omg this was sooo delicious! I was already excited to try a new Thai place, since my favorite burned down in Phoenix in the Almeda wildfire. This restaurant is really small but is super yummy. We got soft shell crab appetizers- pad prik king with beef, pad thai(which comes with three proteins) general tsos chicken and we scarfed it! The general tsos chicken was hands down my favorite tonight. The pad prik king was a close second. I will be back again soon to try more dishes. The staff was super nice and food arrived quickly. As we sat and ate they had a steady to go business that is obviously thriving and that makes me happy for local small businesses. I really can't wait to come back here again. Its a treat to get to sit down and enjoy a meal again inside the restaurant. read more

I ordered takeout and it was on time. It's a small restaurant, but as soon as you walk in, the aromas capture your attention. The food was ready at the exact time it said when I ordered online, but I was a little early. The ladies up front were pleasant and it was easy to see their 30-35 seats are likely always full. I wanted the food to be so good, but I was left a little disappointed. I ordered the soft shell crab, but it was the smallest I've ever seen and was more crunchy and little taste. The red curry seafood didn't have the robust flavor I expect from red curry and the seafood were all overcooked and rubbery. The spice level was less than expected. The saving grace was that the Thai iced tea was great. Given the other reviews, perhaps they do better with other dishes. read more

The food was amazing, and being able to choose how spicy it was made it even better. My wife and I like different levels of spice, hers is medium while mine is extremely hot. She was able to get exactly what she wanted, and not worry if it would be too spicy, because of how their menu works. For example, spicy items can come from not hot at all the way up to 5 star hot. Even at the spiciest levels, the food had excellent flavor, which is extremely important as well. There's nothing worse than having spicy food that has no flavor at all. read more

3 stars for food. Service was solid. I hope the proprietors read this for its intent as constructive criticism. This is a very cute place, and I understand there are staffing shortages so food takes longer than usual. They at least told me this from the beginning. The problem is the over-stated quality of the food, at least per all the other reviews I'm reading. I don't eat Thai food often, maybe for the fact that I'm kind of a snob, especially having a Thai aunt who's a cook. But this was mediocre at best. Tom Kha was standard basic. Not bad, but no frills. Garden variety mushrooms. Little zing. No spice. Spicy Egg Noodles were not spicy in the least. Noodles were like package Top Ramen - Seriously. I ordered the shrimp, which were all overcooked. Even the egg (what little there was of it) was overdone. General Tso's (yes yes, I know, not Thai, not even really Chinese - I only ordered this due to another reviewer's praise) was surprisingly the best dish. Quite unusual preparation, but solid enough. I should point out that this was after being brought out the wrong dish of Chicken and Eggplant. I got an accidental bite in, and it was better than anything else I ordered. So maybe other dishes are the way to go here. That said, everything needs more spice. On a final positive note, the Thai Iced Coffee was delicious. Traveling to Medford for baseball during the smoky month of August, didn't think we'd be wanting some warm, Asian food. However noodles were the craving and so we yelped some Thai restaurants and came upon the same name restaurant that's a fav in our hometown of Oly, WA. Glad we did bc this place hit the spot. They seated us even though they close for dining at 8 and got served quickly. We ordered the Pad See Ew- delicious and eggy- which was just fine. Since they didn't have Panang Curry, we got the Pad Prik King and wow! Great alternative to Panang! We ordered Pad Thai to go and am sure it'll be as good as the other two dishes! I've eaten here twice now, and order the same thing, the food is bland, over priced and I'm sorry but when you order pad Thai and you have to order each vegetable that should come in pad, Thai like carrot, celery, and onion. Basically you get some noodles kind of dry and no sauce to speak of with a little bit of crush peanuts in the corner. If you want sauce, you have to order it extra and if you want vegetables, they charge you per type of vegetable, i.e., carrot, celery, and onion. Stopped in for lunch and this unassuming little restaurant was a pleasant surprise. A nice variety available on the lunch menu from Thai to Chinese favorites, and the food was soooo good. Everything comes with a small green salad, spring roll and rice. The food was fresh and the wok'd items had that tell tell flavor of natural smoke. I will admit I had never heard of this place before so when my younger brother decided to take me out for my birthday dinner I was excited to try a new place out. I will say right off the bat I was not disappointed. To start off I had a Thai Iced tea, which most places I've been to tend to over sweeten it, but this one had a good balance. For an appetizer we tried their calamari which wasn't the traditional calamari since this one had a mixture of veggies in it so it was more like a veggie tempura and clam strips. For the main course I went with their Rama Noodles and my brother ordered their spicy seafood fried rice. We tried a bit of each other's plate and both were delicious. I think next time I may request that they make my dish a bit spicy since I did like the kick the fried rice gave off. Overall it was a great experience, the staff was super friendly, the space is cozy and beautiful, and we'll definitely be having dinner there again soon. read more
