Me and my crew came here to this Chinese buffet last night after a long day of work. I know a buffet will please everybody cause they can all find stuff they like out of all the food out there. I have NO idea what all these bad reviews are about! We had a fabulous time eating dinner here at the Tin Tin Chinese buffet. The price on weekday dinners is around $18 ...and NO tax! Please tip though. This is a pretty big place with a decent sized buffet. There's more choices than I could even try. Old dried cold food? Not here! Everything was hot and fresh as I saw trays being replenished. We went around 5pm, so yeah if you are not so smart and show up 15 minutes before they close, no the food will not be fresh and many trays will be empty, cause no business is gonna fill trays with new food right at the end and then have to toss out a ton of food after they close! We were seated in a nice booth and there seemed to be a lot of other people enjoying the food here, plates piled high with seafood and other tasty looking foods. They have all the standard American Chinese food people expect, like sweet and sour pork, egg rolls, fried rice, hot and sour soup, broccoli beef and honey walnut prawns along with some dishes I didn't know what they were. But besides these standard dishes, some more authentic dishes were available as well, like deep fried calamari with jalapeno and salt, whole baked salmon and steamed white fish, stir fried green beans with garlic, salt and pepper fried whole prawns. No chicken feet though! Some dishes I've not see at a buffet were, pulled BBQ pork, Chinese BBQ pork, sweet and sour meatballs on a skewer and even custard tarts for dessert! There's plenty of choices for all tastes, even a section of spicy Korean foods as well as sushi rolls. There is even a cold foods and salad section ... I passed saving tummy room for hot foods! The quality of all the food was above average for buffets and or equal to a sit down and order ala carte place. Drinks besides water are not included in the base price. Sushi wasn't the best, but I come for the Chinese food. Service was fine. Every time we went back to the buffet to get more food, the dirty plates were cleared from the table upon my return. I have always loved Tin tin buffet. The staff is hard working, efficient, the food price is to be expected when getting seafood that is not cheap. Especially all you can eat! Come on! Ate there today as we always had in the past and my mother gave the waitress her credit card to pay the bill and they lost my mother's card! Since they were not able to find it up at the register, they most likely gave her card to another customer without even validating if it even belonged to that person. A TOTAL NIGHTMARE! Waitress is incompetent and lacked total responsibility! This waitress was responsible the moment she took my mother's credit card until she brought it back! Another thing, they still have not fixed their Pepsi machine, it's been over a month and they promised they would be fixing the lines to the machine; If you order a Pepsi, and it taste off, it's because they still have not fixed the issue! Pleasantly surprised with this place! Clean and beautiful inside the restaurant. We were shown to our table immediately and had drinks waiting by the time we came back with our first plates. Lots of options for good food. All the normal Chinese dishes like spring rolls, potstickers, fried rice, etc. I especially liked the Mongolian beef and the veggie low mein. There is also super fresh sushi. Just the basics but great quality. My daughter tried about 5 different kinds of shrimp! Great variety. They had fruit, salad, fresh veggies like cucumber. We added chili oil to almost everything as we like some spice. Some good cookies, amazing mango jellies, and soft serve for desert. We will go again for sure! read more

With fish on both sides really pretty. That aroma smelt soooo promising. Had high hopes for the food nooope!! We were greeted by crusty rice, soup that was dried to the bottom of the container. October 2024 -- Food was gross, atmosphere was dark and gloomy. I felt sick after eating here, and puked up all the food once I got home. $17 for lunch, I won't be returning. There are better places to eat for the same price. June 14, 2025 (4:30 PM) -- I tried to give this restaurant a second chance after saying I would never return last October. Big mistake! The woman at the front was not very friendly. I had to say hello two times to get her to greet me. I told them I would like to walk thru and see the buffet before I get a table. They hesitantly agreed, and I walked around. A lot of the dishes looked like they were missing. The dinner rush was about to start so I figured they would be bringing out fresh dishes. I came back to the cashier/greeter and told them I would like a table. She told me it's cash only because their card reader is offline. I didn't have cash and I wasn't going next door to pay an ATM fee just to eat dinner. I had to walk out of here and found better food elsewhere. This restaurant needs to get their act together. The food was pretty good but the service was not so.good we were a party of 6 they never brought us silverware when asked the only brought us 4.settings we got the rest from the waitress station ourselves and when we asked for drink refills only two of us got refills I think for the price drinks should be included since it is so hard to get refills. read more

The last time I went to Tin Tin it was before Covid. I've been really hesitant to come back because of the bad reviews. So after having a really nice experience I decided to post my own with pics We went on Wednesday at around 4 PM and it was great. If you're looking for affordable Americanized pan-Asian food, that is what you'll find here. Staff was consistently bringing out refills for food and the buffet was at food-safe temperatures as far as I could tell. Service was good and staff were keeping the buffet very clean. Buffets are a dying breed and I'm grateful this one still exists :) it's fun to go eat a lot of variety of food. Yes, it's buffet quality food, for buffet prices. We came to Tin Tin Buffet 1.5 hours before closing, and it was a complete disappointment. Half the food trays were empty, and despite asking multiple times for fresh food, the staff just nodded and said "okay" but never actually made more. It felt like they were just waiting for us to leave. To make matters worse, they shut down the ice cream machine 30 minutes before closing because they "needed to clean it." Why advertise it if customers can't even get dessert toward the end of service? The food that was available was mediocre at best, and the overall experience was frustrating. Had an early dinner on Sunday ($19.99) at about 4:45 PM. It was fairly busy but the tables that were empty were clean, the floor was clean, people were very nice. The buffet was barely okay. Not a great selection for $20. Now, it would have been a 3-star review (OK) but I just looked at the receipt and the buffet is $16.00 and the Pepsi is $3. When someone says, "What would like to drink", they are indicating that it is included with the buffet. IMO. So, 1 Star was deducted for indicating the drinks were included. This is especially true since customers paid 'after' they ate, which is unusual for a buffet. For just a basic buffet and for that reason, I won't be back. This place was hyped by a local when I first moved up here. Sadly, I gave them two tries, and neither experience was good. Service was average, but sub-par food does not make for palatable Asian cuisine. And, for the vertically challenged, the seats need restuffing in the booths. For a buffet, it was very disappointing. As far as Chinese buffets goes, this place is pretty legit. I've been to many in my lifetime and this place has one of the most clean stations. A lot of variety as well. There was steamed fish in soy sauce (one of my favs)! The shrimp were FULL sized and in three dishes (honey shrimp, garlic shrimp, and boiled then chilled with shell on). A couple of reasons I put it at a 5-star. 1) Their vegetable selection was awesome! Lightly seasoned broccoli/carrots and garlic green beans (just like momma used to make). My kiddo loves vegetables and it's always a struggle to find a restaurant with a decent veggies. 2) Noodles they used for story fry is my FAV type! Thick and chewy. Not overly sauced. Again, like momma used to make. 3) Fresh fruits and jello. Great alternative to the sugary desserts after a heavy meal. Last time I went 3/19/22, they had lychee jello. Now, my mom didn't make that growing up, but it took me back to the mini lychee jellies of my childhood. 3) BBQ ribs...fall apart BBQ ribs. Now to the ok parts. They have a sushi section which was fairly decent considering it's a Chinese buffet. The sugary desserts weren't very interesting. The sushi selection is a-ok and they don't throw a fit when I removed all the rice and only ate the fish (making it sashimi) *thumbs up* On a Saturday evening ~7pm: plenty of food, dishes being refilled without being completely out, some seafood, plenty of what you expect from a chinese-american buffet. No fresh green salad, but plenty of vegetarian options. The food was pretty decent, but I don't think I'll go back. We went an hour before closing and they were still putting out fresh food. Mostly it was flavorful and tasted fresh, my favorite was the cabbage and fried dough. Soft serve was a little disappointing as it wasn't creamy, but all of the cookies were tasty. The only reason I won't go back is because the koi fish up front are obviously overcrowded and stressed. I have eaten there about four times and only once the food was hot. So the last time I ate, there was about four days ago. The food was so cold. My wife only had a half a plate of food and I had about a plate. I told the lady like normal and she just looked at me and said oh I'll tell the cook not sorry not how about you come back next time and give you one free buffet pass. This is my go-to for Chinese food on a really cold day, on a day that I feel like I need a multicourse meal, on a day when I feel like comfort foods with a variety of flavors. The interior is welcoming, the koi fish in the pond at the entrance always so enthralling and he food outstanding! Two things: when selecting a soup bowl, pay close attention to the handle - even though that's where you will intuitively hold it, of course. Some of the older bowls or cups have buildup right where he human hands hold them, see the photo, and I think they just need to be cleaned more thoroughly or changed out. Obviously, I still enjoyed my soup as the bowl itself that interacts with the soup was clean and spotless, but the handle was almost a major barrier to me even wanting to use the soup bowls altogether. Second thing: don't forget to ask specifically for the tool to open crab meat from the crab legs during the dinner menu; those are not just handed out to every diner but if you ask, they'll politely bring them. And a third thing... even though I said I'd have two: try the tea. So good, so strong towards the bottom of the teapot. I'll be back, my goal is to treat myself to this buffet at least once a month. Honestly one of my favorite restaurants in the Medford area. We've been going here on and off for years now, fantastic service and for the most part amazing food. Only real downside I've had here is that they do not offer gloves for people serving themselves, so I have caught COVID here as well as the Flu a couple times in the past, most likely due to children. I usually wait a day or 2 for a bad review to make sure I still feel the same and not reviewing in anger. I waited 2 days this time because it took me that long to recover from the sickness I got from what little food I did eat while I was there. The California Roll was edible - the hot and sour soup edible with an aftertaste of some chemical but the vinegar masked it for the most part. The spring rolls were not bad. All of the food was luke warm to cold - the labels didn't match the food items so it was anyone's guess at what was being served in the buffet. The macaroni salad had so much salt I had to spit it out in the napkin and the potato salad had no salt. I wish I had something good to say but I can not think of anything. I think it may be worse that the last time I tried this place 10 years ago. The Koi fish are pretty cool in the entry way. Yes it's not a stand alone restaurant but situated in a shopping plaza. A very busy plaza. Recently reopened after the pandemic with every favorite dish. Coconut shrimp, beef:broccoli, sweet and sour, sushi, egg flower soup, Nothing was running out. Fresh food was roughy out immediately. A huge display of desserts. The cost is $15.00 all day. Food isn't great, nor is it hot. It's like they never eat their own food, which would alert them that it's only warm when it should be hotter. The two times we've gone, the sushi has had flies or other bugs in it. I prefer my sushi with less protein. There are koi in the pond. read more

This place surprised me. I gave up on getting good Chinese food in Medford. Then I ate at the Tin Tin. The coconut shrimp, the teriyaki chicken and a couple of the other dishes are very good. They certainly have a huge selection to choose from. Next time I will try the salmon. I didn't care for the sushi I tried but I don't like sushi. The place was clean and the service was good. Food was hot. Everyone was masked. I'm going back. It was expensive - $50 for two lunches but next time we won't have a soft drink. That will take ten bucks off. And, it was pretty good over all.
