my boyfriend heard the lunch buffet at this place was pretty good, so we always meant to try it. we finally got around to doing so and let me tell you it is delicious hole in the wall (in a good way) goodness! we have yet to make it to the lunch buffet, but we've dined here a couple times and i have to give it the crown: best Thai food in the area. I went for the classic pad woon sen and was not disappointed. Tried every single appetizer and I'd eat them all 100x times again. What makes this place a five star place for me though was the service. The little man seems to run the place, from the front to the kitchen. I ordered the vegetable option and requested lots of veggies since I didn't want any tofu. Delicious cream cheese wontons with perfect consistency. Simply delicious green curry! Be cautious if you order a zero/1 on spice, it will still have a kick! We crave their offerings weekly! I went here for lunch today for the first time. I heard some pretty good comments about this restaurant so I decided to give it a try. We walked in and saw a coworker sitting down eating his lunch...he frequents this restaurant and recommended the pad-se-iew which is a spicy noodle dish with broccoli. You can add shrimp, chicken or beef to basically any of the dishes so I added chicken. Since my friend is such a good chef himself (always making us goodies at work) I took his recommendation and was not disappointed. It was really good. The service was good as well. read more

My fave Thai place. The main guy who's always there is SOOO sweet and always has a smile. Some vegan options I order regularly are the Pad Kee Mao with tofu and no egg (OMG amazing), Pad Thai with tofu and no egg and the fresh spring rolls. The only thing I would say that they could improve is to add more of the tofu/whatever meat choice to the noodle dishes. It tends to be kind of skimpy on that sometimes. The people who work here are so friendly and nice! I've been in several times for the yummy lunch buffet and also numerous times for the boba drinks for take out. My kids love the taro boba drinks and I love the Thai tea! We come in so often they already know what kind of drinks we want. Food is so tasty! When we have dined in, the waiter or waitress are very attentive and kind! The only suggestion I have is a little updating inside the restaurant. Highly recommend!! read more

OK sooo this place isn't super nice looking but the food is well worth the wait and money. My family and I was here for the first time and tried a few food we had fried chicken rice, pad thai noodle, shrimp and noodle egg rolls, glass noodle salad and ribs which all was a lot and really good it's a place you must try I also had the Thai tea and it was just really good and tasty . I cannot speak for the buffet, because I have not tried it, nor would I try it, because buffets outside of Las Vegas gross me out. Went there with a group of 7 and it was excellent! I had the pineapple fried rice with shrimp. Spicy level of 5 which was still on the spicy side for me. Maybe a 3 would have been better. The rest of my group loved their food and we got a special holiday desert they only make once a year without even asking for it! I didn't catch the name. It was some sort of white sticky rice with a yellow type of custard on top. So good! Talk about an accommodating staff, me and a friend ordered the plum wine. Apparently they were out but they didn't tell us. Our awesome server went out to buy some more! We would've gladly understood if they would have informed us. Thanks again! read more

I have a new favorite Thai joint in Oceanside. The Chicken Panang is off the charts!. Prices are good and portion sizes are good. If I could give zero I would, my husband and I have eaten here before and it was delicious. Tonight however was awful, everything and I mean everything was over cooked, mushy rice, chicken was slightly undercooked. Nothing was edible, and we ended tossing out the food. When we called to complain they hung up on us and informed us they are great cooks and we were wrong. Very unprofessional, rude and ultimately lost two customers. read more

Mom and pop all the way! I LOVE THIS PLACE! The guy that owns it is the funniest, happiest, friendliest person I have ever met in my life. He WILL remember you. He remembered me after one time, and even if a lot of time has passed remembers me each time after. Their food takes a little while to get but trust me when I say it is worth it! You can ask for different levels of spice heat which I think is a nice touch. Everything is authentic and home made. My girlfriend who grew up in Japan showed me this place essentially, and said it was the best Thai food she had since actually visiting Thailand. They do takeout too! I only have ordered Togo here, but the food has been great. The only thing I haven't liked is the Papaya Salad. The duck in red curry was amazing, trying some massaman curry tonight, pineapple fried rice and Tom Kha soup. Can't wait to get home. read more

I checked the ratings here on Yelp when looking for a Thai restaurant in Oceanside; chose Thai Garden because of the favorable reviews--I was very disappointed. I wanted to have some garlic chicken with mint leaves, they didn't have it, but tried to accomodate me by adding basil leaves to the dish; but there was no spice!?!??! wth???? I took my order to-go and had to come back to ask for chili and was given red chili paste...where are the green little Thai chilis in this "Thai" restaurant??? Also, the garlic shrimp did not have any spice added either... the only good thing was the dessert of sticky rice w/mango and sweet coconut milk. read more

I went to this restaurant because I'd read really good reviews on yelp. But I guess these reviews were written by users that are not familiar with real thai food. I ordered a level 10 on the spiciness, all they did were to add some chilly powder on there. Really? Some thai pepper, maybe? That goes onto just about every other dishes. Pepper flakes on everything! Curry tasted like coconut milk and coconut milk only. Menu is misleading ,my noodles was missing bell pepper and my green curry didn't come with basil. Service was horrible and slow, food didn't come out the same time. I wouldn't suggest it, but if you don't care about authenticity, go for it. read more

My go to place if I want fast Thai food in a pinch. As a side note, if you are trying to order food Togo they are hard to reach by phone. The host is nice and friendly, reminded me of the people I would see when I went to Thailand. I have had the Pad Thai, mango sticky rice, pad see iw, pad kee and Thai tea to name a few. This is the first Thai restaurant I ever had the courage to try 10 years ago. We moved out of the neighborhood and had to find a new Thai place. We've found a couple that we've been good with. I was in the area tonight and it was convenient to get some take out there tonight. It was excellent, and made me realize we've been missing them all this time. Tried the lunch buffet. The food was properly cooked but (with the exception of the fried rice) overall somewhat bland. (Isn't Thai food customarily spicy?) The wait staff does NOT change or clean the tablecloths after a table has been used. (Ugh!) The ceramic condiment trays on many of the tables are not kept clean. (Ugh!) I was disgusted. Note: I researched San Diego County food facility inspections and in Octrober 2014 a food facility inspection identified 94 health violations at this place!
