I've been going here since it opened in 2006. The food is absolutely amazing. Very authentic, as it should be! The owner used to chat with us about growing up in Thailand in the rice fields. The booths here are very private, so it's a perfect place to take a date. The decor here is also tastefully done with several authentic looking Thai art pieces. Usually when I go to restaurants I like to try different things on the menu, and I'd say I've sampled a good 1/4 of their menu. Everything here is good! My brother and I love trying new Thai spots and we were hoping this would be a great gem. We got the yellow curry and pad thai noodles in hope to be blown away, but once again..tasted like any other Thai food joint. My brother ordered a number 9 spicy pad thai and all i remember him saying was "it's not spicy at all". Either he burned his soul away a long time ago or they forgot to add it. I usually go with a medium number or else I might just die from the heat. My curry was like any other curry, tasty, but nothing to make it pop out and make me say "this is some good stuff". One of my favorite restaurants to dine in. My favorite dish is definitely the pad see ew. I recommend the BBQ pork fried rice and wonton soup. Wasn't a huge fan of the papaya salad. There seems to be only one full time waitress and she did recognize my family and remember our order. The wait for our food is usually thirty-fourty minutes but in the end it's worth it. My only complaint was we weren't offered straws and I don't like how they serve water with lemon slices inside. read more

I came for lunch & the sign said open at 11:00. It was 11:05 so I came in. The guy came out to say it's not ready yet, wait another 15-20 minutes. That was fine. I thought I'd wait another 10 minutes in the car but here comes running out of the kitchen was this old lady looking mad. She was chasing after me then closed the door behind me like I was going to do some harm to her. I turned around after exiting to look at her thinking she wanted to say something but she vigorously shaking her head, shaking her hand to shoo me away. What a nice welcoming gesture. After reading the reviews of this place and working through lunch that day, I was salivating at the thought of my dinner order. I ordered chicken Paad Thai with a spice level of six (scale of 1-10), stopping in the restaurant and placing my order to go. After a short wait, the very friendly waitress handed me my order and off I went, my stomach growling all the way home. When I got there and opened the container, I thought it looked unlike any Paad Thai I had ever seen. They use a different noodle than I'm used to, and looking at it, there were just a few bean sprouts and perhaps half a scallion sitting on top. The peanuts were all concentrated in one corner, and there didn't seem to be much chicken. As for spice, if they truly gave me a 6, then their scale must go to 100, not 10. There was no discernable spice to speak of. As for taste, it was dull and hugely disappointing. The noodles they used were like an Italian vermicelli, not the flat noodle I'm used to. The consistency of the noodles made it hard for the very few other ingredients to mix in there, making for an inconsistent tasting dish. Overall I would say it was dry and tasteless, just like grandpa's sense of humor. If I go back, it won't ever be for the Paad Thai. read more

It was closed the time i went even though the time wasn't indicated as their close time. I knocked on the door as I saw the person but no acknowledgment. I think as a small biz you need to answer to your customers, but you acted like you didn't hear me...better believe we are going to pass the word around. I have been eating here for over 5yrs and have a level of patience due to the owners general kindness and a understanding that it takes a long time to get your food. There are times when I order pick-up and choose to eat in this is never been an issue previously and I've always been given adequate rice. I ordered 3 entrees 2 currys and a pad Thai and I was given a small ammout of rice. When I asked my waitress who could not seem to understand the concept of being given inadequate portions for 2 meals as I was with a guest advised it would 1.50 for rice when I said fine a little troll from the back demanding a tip and 12 cents for tax.... Here is the kicker aside from being rude unprofessional and unintelligible as golems mother spoke no English then DEMANDED A TIP.... YES DEMANDED A TIP. I of course laughed in her face said I will give her nothing and to fetch my rice... In my life I have never had someone so small minded and selfish to throw a fit over a paying customer asking for a service that they also paid for .... I will never eat here again who came here with will never eat there again and everyone that brings up Thai I will make sure to tell this story of the worst Customer service I ever experienced. Thai Garden is a great family run Thai place. All their curries are killer and the mango and sticky rice is one of the best deserts in the world. Sometimes the service can be a little slow when it gets really busy but I'm never in a rush and it is well worth the wait anyway. Overall one of my all time favorites, not fancy but great food at a reasonable price. read more

I love this place! Not only do you get large portions of food for a cheap price, but their food is delicious! Let me start out by saying the Pad see ew is freaking delicious and generally all their items are pretty good. However after meeting the boss lady for the first time on my third time placing a to go order, I would have to say she's is incredibly rude lady, she kept rushing me when I was trying to give out my order. upon arriving at the restaurant I ask another man if I could get extra silverware and plates, this lady interrupts and says they don't carry disposable plates, when I can clearly see the man in process of taking it out of the kitchen. The food is good and the price is decent but unfortunately I will no longer support this business solely because of this incident. This is our local Thai place that we frequent. To go portions seem larger than dine in portions. All the curry dishes are delicious. We are partial to very spicy meals, and they make it perfectly spicy every time. The flat noodles are good, and the egg rolls. The people there are great to deal with. Just realized I had never written a review for this place on Yelp. It has been our go to Thai food restaurant for years. We have a lot of out of town friends and family that visit and always want to come here for a meal before they leave. It is owned and operated by a brother and sister team. Tip does the cooking and Cha answers phones and waits on tables. They are both very friendly and make you feel right at home. Which is good because at times if they are very busy the service can be a little slow. But the food is well worth the wait. The food is consistently good. Our favorites usually are the panang curry chicken and barbecue pork fried rice. But everything else we have ever had is excellent. We like it a little spicy but not burning so a level 4 spice is good for us. In the past couple years they added a lunch buffet. We don't make it for lunch too often but it is a great deal and a nice way to try a variety of the different menu items. read more

BEWARE. I had a pretty disturbing experience at this place. I've never written a bad review about anything in my life. I used to be a regular at Thai Garden, I live down the road. A good friend of my was visiting from out of town so I took him there to eat. My buddy ordered this marinated chicken plate, took one or two bites and ended up asking to get something else as the chicken was too dry to eat. They took the nearly FULL plate of food back, threw it away and brought something else. We went to pay.. and they charged us for the plate of chicken. After going back and forth the server agreed to not charge us. After that, my buddy and I asked to speak to the owner/person in charge of the place to see what their policy was on returning orders. After talking to the people in charge about the situation, in hopes to understand the way they operate the place, they basically told us to fu*k off. It turns out their policy is to charge you even IF you have to return the food for whatever reason. This is the US of A, you don't treat your customers (especially regulars) like that. Its a shame. I am completely shocked by the way they treat some one who was a regular. I feel very sorry for these people. Save your time and money. There are many other Thai places in the area to give your money to. read more
