Located right at the corner of a V intersection, but the parking lot is tiny, maybe enough for 6-8 cars max. The inside is not any bigger. With about 6 tables total, it's actually never completely full every time we have been here. What surprises us each and every time is the amount of to go orders they get! Literally, at least 1 call in/walk in/online order every 10-15 mins! Having been to several Thai restaurants on the Central Coast, Tasty Thai is the cheapest so far out of all the ones we've been to here! Their portion is also good for at least a couple dollars cheaper per dish compared to anywhere else! With the exception of the Panang curry, which has great flavor, but just too watery like a soup and not enough veggies/toppings, every single dishes we have tried here have been great to excellent! Our go to dishes every single time are satay chicken 10/10, beef salad 9/10, pad see ew with beef 8/10, and we would make the effort to try a new dish for that second entree. Went for our first time after having this place on our places to try list. It did not disappoint! The food was great! I got the fat noodles and had them done spicy. Rest of my party got pad thai! Everyone commented on how delicious the plates were. Our waiter was upbeat and very knowledgeable. He had answers to all of our new customer questions. The place is small and the food came quick. A very cute place in the Village of Arroyo Grande, off the "main drag". We were greeted by a very friendly staff and seated immediately. The extensive choices on the menu took a bit longer because there were so many good dishes that I recognized from other Thai restaurants. First time customer. My Grandson and I came for Lunch last week. I ordered rge Coconut Creme Thai soup, with soft Tofu, small mushrooms, lemon grass, lime flavor and a sprinkling of Chili oil on top. This is truly the BEST Thai food I have ever eaten!! It have gone twice now and waited to review to make sure the 2nd experience was as good as the first. I totally recommend this place. I'm have had the Mongolian Beef, Pineapple Curry and the Summer rolls. My daughter had two different types of soup which she throughly enjoyed as well. The waitresses are so kind as well. We ordered take-out. Service was slow. There were 12 customers in the restaurant at the time. At least 4 customers came in after we did to pick up orders and got them right away. We had to wait on a bench for about 20 minutes to get our order of tempura shrimp, tom kha soup, pumpkin curry and pad Thai. The employees were very friendly and nice, but we arrived at the end of the stated pick-up time and still had to wait. (They did give us water) The food was delicious. It was our first time ordering from Tasty Thai. We chose it based on the reviews compared to the restaurant we usually order from. Decided to have dinner in AG before heading to Santa Maria and I'm so glad we stopped by Tasty Thai. We got there at the right time because after we ordered, so many people started to come in and in no time the place was packed! We got Panang Curry in medium spice and a side of fresh summer rolls with shrimp. It was so so good. The Panang Curry could've been a little bit spicier but I was happy with what was served. The peanut sauce included with the fresh summer rolls was divine. I have tried to replicate a peanut sauce at home but WOW it was never to that level! Our server Kelly was also really nice! Delicious Thai food under new ownership. Business seems to have really picked-up under this new ownership. Their Take-out customers are constantly coming in and out. The summer rice paper roll with shrimp and peanut sauce is my favorite -- sliced into four large pieces it's only $7. The green curry and pumpkin curry are full of flavor and comes with brown rice for an extra $1. The portion is enough for two people. And who doesn't love iced Thai tea?
