    28. Sea Bass (instead of sea bass, they exchanged it for red fish)
    Mahwish S.

I came to have lunch with my beau. You seat yourself wherever you like. The staff greeted me as soon as I walked in and brought me menus and water as soon as I sat down. For an appetizer, I had a cup sized Tom Yuum Shrimp Soup level 3 spice level. The flavor of the broth was good and there were 4 pieces of shrimp in the cup size. If you cut them in smaller pieces you can have a piece of shrimp in eat bite. My husband had the wonton soup and the broth of that soup was watered down. It lacked depth in flavor. The staff was nice to take his soup off of the bill. I ordered the red fish as my entree level 3 spicy. It comes topped with shrimp, onions & peppers in a brown sauce. I upgraded for veggie fried rice. I really enjoyed that dish! It was a good sized portion and it was yummy! (On the menu it is #28 but sea bass was unavailable.)

My coworkers and I came here on a Monday for lunch and it was pretty busy. The restaurant itself is tucked away in a corner of a plaza so there's plenty of parking. I like how all the dishes come with a soup. The soup had vegetables and chicken with lemongrass- delicious! For the entrée, I ordered the Pad Kee Mao. The flavors in the dish were fine but the portions lean a little bit on the smaller side and it was too salty for me. The service was standard and overall, this place is an okay choice for Thai if you're in the area.

This Thai restaurant is a little Pasadena gem. It is tucked away in an outlet, and if you blink you might miss it... so, don't blink! The interior is nicely decorated and while it might seem like the decorations are cluttered or "all over the place," it really does add to the ambiance in a positive way. Everything is clean and organized. The lighting isn't too dark or too bright. It is a "seat yourself and pay at the front when you're done" sort of set-up, but you still interact with the wait-staff. Each server is pleasant, punctual, and professional. The menu has heaps of Thai options, but you must try their Red Curry! I would also recommend the Chicken Satay as a starter. After you order you are given a complimentary bowl of delicious brothy soup. Even with a crowd of people you won't wait very long for your food. The servers will occasionally check on you, but will leave you to eat your food in peace. I was pleasantly surprised with how attentive the staff was in terms of drink refills and clearing dishes. This is not only a "must try" Pasadena spot, I would consider it a "must try" Houston Thai spot. You won't regret it. Cheers!!

The food is truly amazing! The Jasmine fried rice is exceptionally delicious, with generous portions and an exquisite taste! The Mango boba was also very tasty. They kindly offer a complimentary soup at the beginning, which is delicious! The staff is very nice and kind. Furthermore, the ambiance is very calm, featuring lovely paintings and soothing music. I highly recommend visiting!

I wish I was able to try out their food but they were closed early. I've heard good things about this place

We took a 20 minute deviation to come to Thai Jasmine after reading the rating and bummer- it was closed!! Guys, u need to update your store timings and opening and closing timings online for people like us... this is verry disappointing on a cold night.

Greeted promptly and told to sit anywhere. No lunch menu but my $8.99 garlic chicken came with rice and a soup of the day. The soup was tasty- sorry no pic. Upon arrival of my entry, I first noticed the smell of delicious garlic. Upon tasting, it was way over salted but the chicken was fresh and juicy. I kept my water glass close but unfortunately for my ankles, wasn't refilled. I will order a different dish next time.

All the flavors you expect from a Thai Dish except the added sugar. All the plates were extremely sweet, even the soups. Every order comes with a side of soup if dinning in. Portions where good . Food took a little while since they had many to go orders . Can't give them 5 stars bc Service was very slow and the place needs a " refresh" bc it looks kind of dirty.

Menu and prices as of 2/28/2024 food is delicious small little spot but worth it. Service is fast and friendly.

Pad Thai with tofu and chicken level 3 spicy
    AngieLee G.

This is a take out review... Pad Thai was super good. It's perfect spice level 3. Big serving. Also got the TomYum shrimp level 3 spice. A different kind of soup. It has a spicy taste to it. But also a sweet after Taste. I would get it again. Overall good food big servings and good price.

    I heard it was good.

I'm going to just keep this brief as I'm so uninspired by such bad food. I had a few spoons of the green curry and I just was so disappointed that I left the rest on the table. It tasted like water. The bamboo shoots? Water shoots. Like... how does this even happen? Where is the quality control? Service is nearly non-existent other than the initial ordering. Pad Thai was... almost ok. Noodles were TOO soft. This leads to clumping and eating goop. Flavor profile was close to standard. Pad see ew looks a little light in color but I can imagine it tasted way better than the other two items we got. So why not a 1-star? Because if I spend $20 here, I know I can get about 3 meals out of this place after tips. Prices are suuuuper affordable. Each dish averages under $9--find the one you like the most and STICK WITH IT. My greatest advice is to just drive another 12 mins down towards Almeda Genoa and eat there instead. Much better (authentic) food, a nicer restaurant, and there is service.

Well, Covid killed their business but even before that, they just weren't really on their game for a minute. Fast forward to yesterday when we're in the Pasadena area to buy some work shirts, we're feeling a burger so we're going to the place next door but something just didn't jive when we walked in. Walk outside to drive off and see this place next door - we're always in the mood for some great Thai so wife and I decide to stop in. Man 'o man - did we hit the jackpot with this place!! The feel of this establishment is definitely a feel-good Asian restaurant that will do whatever it takes to make you feel at home. Add the fact that the chicken pad thai literally took my wife back to 15 years ago when we found our place in Jersey Village, but when I tried the chicken red curry that was really hot even at just the "number 4" factor? So sad that they apparently only have one location? We'll be coming back again and again!!

It's right outside the beltway on the east side of the city so it's a little harder to get to, but it's so worth it. The menu was surprisingly huge with so many good options. They don't play with their spices, so make sure you know your spice tolerance. You can't go wrong with the famous Pad Thai that they make extremely tasty here. The green beans xo sauce was phenomenal as well - whatever they coat it in really elevates the flavor and makes the vegetable much more enjoyable. I also wanted something light and hearty so I got the jungle curry. The two tone Thai tea was good, nothing extraordinary but will still satisfy you if you want a milky drink. It's essentially just Thai tea mixed with Thai green tea so if you've ever wanted them mixed together and weren't able to at other places, it doesn't hurt to try here (it's the same price as the regular ones anyway). And for the star to end the meal was the infamous mango sticky rice. By far the best I've had at any restaurant! The mango was perfectly ripe, the sticky rice was a perfect consistency, and the coconut milk was perfectly smooth. Absolute cinema. I would come back here just for this! Our server was very kind and attentive, the atmosphere was clean, and the restaurant was tidy. Highly recommend this place to everyone, it's worth the drive!

We walked in and were told to sit where we wanted and handed menus. They took our drink orders first and after bringing our drinks, they also brought us small bowls with a consume style chicken soup/broth. This was tasty, I enjoyed it. They took our orders a couple of minutes after as well. We started by getting 3 appetizers, the calamari, chicken satay and the dumplings. My friend ordered the Pad Thai (medium level spicy ness so maybe a 2-3?), and my other friend and I got the Maiasian fried rice box which comes with shrimp fried rice and a fried chicken cutlet on top. You can also choose your level of spice on this dish. My friend went with a 2 and I chose not to get it spicy as spicy food causes me stomach issues. After placing our order, our first appetizer came out in about 5 minutes and it was the calamari. I could see the seasoning on the breading, they looked tasty and some were fried crispier than others but nothing was overcooked. Upon first bite, the flavor was really good but the spice on them kicks in after you've ate it and they are HOT. I can handle a small amount of heat but these felt like a 5. Needless to say I only ate two. The chicken satay was my favorite of the appetizers, the dipping sauce is peanut butter forward which I loved because you get the saltiness right away along with that PB taste and the sweetness and mild spice come after. The cucumber provided with the satay was the cooling agent I needed to sedate the heat from the calamari. It was cool, refreshing and sweet. The dumplings were pork and shrimp and come with a soy dipping sauce. They were tasty as well, not the best I've had, but enjoyable. Seasoned perfectly. My dish, the Maiasian fried rice box was delicious! The shrimp are a nice size, fairly big, and my favorite vegetable in the rice was the broccoli. The chicken cutlet was fried perfectly too. I really enjoyed it and the one my friend got wasn't too spicy at a level 2. I'd say it was still pretty mild. I did get a taste of the Pad Thai and at a level 3 spice I'd say. It was sweet with that spice kicking in after. It was milder than I thought but over all still a good Pad Thai. After we finished eating, they brought us to go boxes since we all didn't really finish our plates. It was a lot of food and they also brought us these home made cookies with a chocolate frosting on them in the shape of a star. Not sure what kind of cookies these were, maybe sugar cookies I'd say, but they were DELICIOUS! If they would sell boxes of these to go I'd buy 2 or 3 of them hahaha. They were the best thing to end our meals with. I forgot to mention that our food came out pretty fast, and the kitchen is in the dining area so you can see, hear and smell the food being prepared. Aside from the sound of the chef cooking, the restaurant has a quiet ambience and I find it quite cozy. Definitely check this place out if you're in the area. It's really a hidden gem.

I've gone about five times now and this was by far my least favorite experience (I still liked it, but I was a little disappointed), which was unfortunate since this was my parent's first experience here. My only issues were the food, so here's my opinion on each one we ordered: 1. Thai Tea - 4.8/5 - Definitely one of the best Thai Teas at a restaurant. Though I could still use more of the Thai Tea base flavor rather than milk, everyone at my table still enjoyed this drink. 2. Red Curry - 4.5/5 - Quite nice and had very good flavor. I don't love the addition of bell peppers in here, but that's a personal preference. 3. Pad See Ew - 3/5 - Kind of basic. Nothing made it stand out and noodles this kind of stuck together and became mushy. 4. Pad Thai - 3/5 - I've gotten this twice before, and for some reason it just tasted completely different and nothing like what Pad Thai should actually taste like. Not bad, but just not what you want when eating a Pad Thai. Noodles were also pretty mushy. 5. Steamed Fillet Snapper - 4/5 - Fairly clean and nice tasting, but just a little too plain for my taste. Still, a great option if you want something lighter for your meal. 6. Rib Eye Pepper Steak Thai Style - 4/5 - I really liked the sauce for this one and the beef was cooked very well, but the garlic they chose to put on top was extremely bitter and ruined my thoughts on the dish. I love this place, but this experience was the first time I've ever questioned going back here again. I hope this time was just a fluke.

SO extremely flavorful and the steak is so nicely cooked. Also love the tomatoes. 5/5 Ahi Tuna - I legit could go here and only get this. I don't think the two complement each other in any meaningful way. 3/5 Chilean Sea Bass - Chilean Sea Bass is so incredibly overrated. For the price and what we got, it simply left us wanting more of something else (I forgot what the dish is called... whoops, there is a picture) 4.5/5 Raad Prick - Plenty flavorful, though I do feel that there should be more to this dish like vegetables, but it does allow the fish to stand out.
