I have been to this restaurant now three times so I feel I can make a judgement on it. This last time, I had the Chicken Pad Thai and my friend went for the Chicken Teriyaki. Unfortunately, Ofallon is really lacking on a simple really good Thai restaurant. It was perfectly fine, even good. It was flavored well but inevitably it was just 'good' and not 'great'. The flavors seemed a bit simple and one-dimensional. In comparison, take Zen Thai in Sunset Hills, arguably some of the best Thai in St. Louis. Lots of flavor, lots of variety in the dish, and can really distinguish all the spices. Don't take this as a negative on Thai Jasmine, it really is very good and very passable, I would just like a little more depth in the taste of each dish. I'll be back again and hope to try different things on the menu. read more

My "ex-work-hubby" and I only go here for our Thai cravings. Their food may not be the absolute best I've ever had, but the phenomenal service more than compensates for the 8/10 I'd give for food. This is a small, family owned place that I'd love to rate higher but when I dined there had a horrible experience. I went on a weekend evening and the place was full and also swarmed with takeout orders. The service was extremely slow and we were crammed into a tiny table. We watched as a mother and children waited for a table for about forty minutes and then had their food come out at the same time as our food. We noticed others who came in after us get their food way before us. With the long wait, the server was friendly and trying to be apologetic. When the food came out, we were so hungry from waiting forever that it tasted good but I'm not sure if it was the actual food or just the fact that we were so hungry. Overall, this place seems too popular for its own good. Maybe we would have had a better experience if it was empty but I am not sure if I want to inadvertently spend a couple hours there again. read more

This is my favorite Thai restaurant in the 'burbs:) They used to have this amazing lunch special where you could order any soup with your lunch... It was only around $6 but I believe they have since changed this. Regardless, their lunch specials are still fantastic and I heart their green curry. All day. read more

If you like really delicious Thai food, this gem in a nondescript strip mall in O'Fallon is your spot. Don't be dissuaded by the décor or the location, though--this is the real deal. The red curry is the best I have had--sweet and spicy (they have Mild, Medium, Medium Hot, and You-Probably-Don't-Want-it-This-Spicy levels of spice). The noodle dishes are top notch, as is the PRICE! Hard to find a meal in Ofallon under $10, but that's precisely what most of their dishes cost. If you have kids--they offer two Kids meals at $5/each and have noodles, chicken, dumplings. Taking my wife and two kids to any restaurant is a daunting task, but they all love this place and it costs me about $30 to feed a family of 4. Not bad. The only reason I gave this a 4 is their chicken--particularly the satays--can be a bit dry. If you have a picky kid (I have two!) the chicken might not be their favorite. We go about once a week, though, so for my money if it's Thai night--it's Thai Jasmine! read more

Visiting from San Francisco, I went to this tiny cute restaurant in a strip mall with my husband's family. The menu is large, with both Thai and Japanese food options. For appetizers, the family ordered fried rolls, and I ordered edamame. We all ordered Thai entrees. While eating the delicious apps, I watched our neighbors get huge sushi plates - this place is legit - there is a real sushi chef and sushi bar. We got our food almost immediately, and I was so surprised at how delicious the food was. I am glad I ordered medium spicy - the spicy is REALLY spicy. I got the pad spicy vermicelli with shrimp; my husband got spicy noodles; the fried rice dishes looked delicious; and the green curry looked awesome. Everyone loves this restaurant. Hands down the beat Thai food my wife and I have ever eaten! Looks like a hole in the wall from outside due to the location in a older strip, but looks are very deceiving in this case! A good Thai place with a popular sushi chef right in the middle of a rundown strip mall. It's a small intimate place but the food is good. The medium is right where it should be but the hot apparently made the guy at the next table nearly choke to death. I think I'll go hot next time; I love a challenge. One note: order water. While the green tea is good, they won't be by with refills (even for more $) so just stick with water and watch your heat level. read more

If you live in the O'Fallon area, and you love Thai food or spicy food, you need to head to Thai Jasmine. The food is delicious and can be prepared to your taste. If you like it mild, they will make it mild. If you like it wild hot like I do, they will make it Thai hot! There isn't a dish that I have ordered which I did not enjoy. We stumbled upon this place years ago, loved it and go back often. Famliy owned and operated, it's tucked in middle of an older style strip mall off Hwy K North of Feise Rd. Sushi made to order and at decent prices; Thai menu has a good variety and like previously mentioned they will offer different levels of spicy. You can call to put in an order for pick up, and they give you an estimated time to swing by to pay and pick up. Great option for someone like me who gets cravings for sushi and wants to take it home to enjoy. Definitely check it out if you are in the area~ read more

This has always been a favorite until tonight. Ordered some carry out, hot food as well as sushi. I paid and my hot food was ready. The owner makes all of the sushi. I waited another ten minutes while he talked to another customer who was sitting at the bar. The other customer was obviously a regular, and that is well and good. But, when my food was getting cold so that they could have a 10 minute conversation about Facebook and Yelp in Thailand, it's a bit much. I just wanted my freaking sushi! It got so bad that the server who took my money went and reminded him that I was waiting, only to get shooed away. She tried to offer me a drink, as she could see that I was getting irritated. She then went in the back and asked his wife to come say something to him. Again, he shooed her away. All the while, my hot food was getting cold. Since he is so into yelp, I'm choosing to share my opinion with all who care to read it. It's a bit of a disappointment, my family and I have been going there for years. Though, after tonight's blatant disregard for customer service, even after the server tried to fix it, Thai Jasmine's owner will not get my business again. read more

Cute little place off of Hwy K in O'Fallon. Went for dinner on a weeknight and was surprised to find a Thai place serving Sushi. Observed a nice, clean sushi bar facing the dining area and was provided a wipe-off menu to order the sushi. Nice, that they are socially responsible and not wasting slips of paper! There was a nice photo book along with the menu that provided pictures of all of their dishes. Quite a cleaver and nice visual aid. Ordered the Pad Thai - I know, normal, and it came out quite quickly and was mighty tasty! Also had fresh spring rolls as an appetizer and they were served with a peanut soy sauce concoction. Yummo! Service was prompt and our water glasses were never empty. Enjoying my leftovers as I write this review! Hope to be a regular here! read more

Wonderful red curry. Simply delicious. I ordered it mild+, and it was very mild, but so tasty. If you like a bit of spice but not hot-spicy, go for the medium. My mate had the Phad Thai, he loved it but it tasted a bit too sweet to be authentic. The fresh sushi looked wonderful, so I'll be back to try it. read more

I decided to come here to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday and thai food is his favorite. And I didn't feel like driving down to the city, since this place was fairly close to where we live. This place was in a shady looking shopping center, we passed it the first time driving by, so you really have to be looking out for it. Going inside it was very small, and my boyfriend said the bathroom was scary, there was a darkened hallway leading down to it. Our waitress was very disinterested in serving us, I realize now we came about an hour and a half before they closed, but we were out of there before then. I also was confused about how our food came out, each one of us at the table got our entrees at different times. The food was ok, mine wasn't very hot or spicy but everyone else at the table had issues with it being too hot and not a lot of flavor. I probably won't be coming back. read more

Probably the worst Thai food I have ever had. Had Ginger Chicken and a Dragon Beef of some sort. Asked for bean sprouts instead of mushrooms, but they ended up being canned bean sprouts. Yuck. Tonight, like any other visit to Thai Jasmine, was awesome. Rory my server helped me relax after work by setting me up with some Seaweed & squid salad(which is an excellent starter to me if you want to start small) and the Hawaiian sushi roll. Which I've gotta say is the best blend of sweet with a slight tang, before even adding soy sauce. On top of those, Rory put on the grinch who stole Christmas, which set a relaxing mood to me. A all finder and a show. On top of that food, I ordered the seafood delight. Okay, so I love this dish but from eating it, I gotta let y'all know. This dish is almost like a salad with chicken, but this is SO MUCH F*CKING BETTER. It's all kinds of seafood over a small bed of lettuce with a dressing that's as light as a vinaigrette( no vinaigrette tang mind you) that's only as spice as you want it. We tried this place on a quiet weeknight. They had steady take out business going while we were there and a few patrons. Service wasn't fast, but we were not in a hurry. The fresh spring rolls were heavy on a lettuce filler, but the food in general was fresh and tasty. My husband enjoyed the sushi he sampled. My family and I have been coming here regularly for about 10 years. This will ALWAYS be my favorite restaurant. Their Thai red curry is my all time favorite food.
