Want Thai near by...I prefer Thai Kitchen for a quick lunch. I strongly recommend their Thai Barbeque Chicken, Pad Thai, and Lemonade Thai Tea. Almost like Thai fast food, but they do have sitting area inside and small, outdoor patio seating. This place has a yelp star rating of about 3.5, and I'd have to say it's pretty accurate. This place is a dine in & take out place. The place is small and quaint, and when I arrived it wasn't too busy. Only one other couple was in there. The service was good. We got acknowledged as soon as we walked in, and we received our food in a good timely manner. But the food taste is pretty average. The food is pretty solid and is popular among San Francisco ferry commuters going up to Napa like myself because the food is ready by the time you leave the Vallejo ferry terminal on your way up. I see variable reviews so far. Well, we clearly hit it on a good night. Every dish was fresh, and showed care & attention. Solid meal for a good price. Watermelon slushee drink - Yum! Essence of ripe watermelon . The closest I've had to the ones in S-E Asia. Green Papaya salad - nice balance of ingredients. The dressing was tasty enough to put on my rice afterwards. Chicken Laarb - good flavors without being over the top. Perfectly done chicken - its easy to end up with dry & overcooked. Won ton soup w/cha shiu pork - new soup stock, freshly made won tons. You can tell when they've been sitting around for a few days. Pad See Ew - textbook BBQ Garlic pork - tasty. OK, this isn't a Thai haute cuisine dish, but so what. Mango sticky rice - beautifully ripe mangos, the rice was cooked right and not excessively sweet. We had good service. The dining area was clean and the restroom was spotless. It's nice to have another good restaurant between Napa and the East Bay. We'll definitely be back and bring friends. read more

We tried this brand new restaurant in American Canyon tonight. They just opened a week ago in the small restaurant location in the Canyon Plaza. American Canyon's first Thai food restaurant! We were very pleased with our dinner. Small dining area, but they have done a good job using the small space. The service was excellent--very prompt, attentive, and friendly. The food was very good. We had pumpkin curry with chicken, pad thai, seafood basil, and sticky rice with mango. Everything was great. The place was packed by the time we left at 7:00 p.m. on a Friday night. I would NOT recommend this place if you want to try GREEN curry. First of all, the soup base is not even GREEN! I have had this at multiple places at which times it has always been green. The green curry here was grayish-brown and tasted like water down coconut milk. The other Thai places I have ate at the green curry sauce has always been an addicting taste, but not at Thai kitchen. To make matters less pleasant, they gave me RED curry instead of GREEN when I clearly stated green, but she states she repeated my order and said red and I acknowledged (uhh NO! i know i wanted green and said that). But I gave them 2 stars because she took back the Red curry and gave me green. Later when I asked why the soup base was not green, she said other places use spinach or some additive to make it green which can make it spicer (uhhh NOT TRUE! I have had green curry that was actually a nice color of green and it was not spicy). Sorry to say I am not pleased with Thai Kitchen and I will not be returning nor will I recommend to my friends, family, etc. Also ordered fried rice, which was ok; I have had better. Their lunch special are limited and maybe up to 7 choices. Overall menu price is kind of same price at other Thai places but quality/quantity of food give is ehhhh, personally not worth it. Nice little place. Maybe about 10 tables inside, pretty clean. Staff is very friendly. One night it was 5min before they closed and I called kus I was craving pad see ew, unfortunately they had ran out of the noodles and I had to order something else.. but the fact that they still allowed me to order even if their kitchen was closed was pretty nice of them. Their food is pretty good, but majority of the plate is filled with garnish. I would prefer to have them skip the huge lettuce leaf and just add more food. That being said, I think its a bit pricey. Had a nice lunch here. Price was decent for two and I have been here a few times and have enjoyed it every time. Had the stuffed chicken and the prawn and pork wrapped with a wonton for appetizers. The pork wonton soup hit the spot as well. My lunch special was the BBQ garlic pork which was just the right amount to satisfy my hunger and also provide some nice flavors. After the first attempt to try this place out and being disappointed with their hours not being updated I decided to give this place another try. Unfortunately the food here does not stand up to my likings. I felt that everything we ordered was either bland or just did not taste right. Tom yum soup tasted like water with salt, nothing special. It was our second time to come to this joint. We were really impressed with how tasty the food and how nice the server was...until we finished eating and it was time to pay. We divvy up the cost and added more than 15% tip. My cousin counts the money twice to make sure its the correct amount. Server takes the money from our table. We start to get going and pick up our stuff to leave, and before she even rang it up she says, "We didn't include the tip on the price." As all three of us look at each other with a "HUH?!" She gives the basket back with the few cents change and says,"You didn't add tip to payment." OK-HIT THE PAUSE BUTTON HERE. Now tell me.....why in the hell someone would even say that right off the bat?!! SMH How in the world does 5 x $1 bills just disappear??!!! Unless it was pocketed... Mind you...I worked in food services before, so I can sympathize with the hard work involved of being on you feet all day.....so I did the right thing and just put $5 on the table and walked out of this dishonest and shameful establishment to never return. read more

What a great little spot! Me and me husband really enjoyed the food we got. I cant remember the exact name of the dishes we ordered but he got a mixed seafood dish and I got a spicy shrimp and noodle dish. For starters we got the fried pork wonton appetizer, we wanted the stuffed chicken but they were sold out- no biggie, just means it must be delicious and it means we have to come back soon!
