Find out there's only 3 dished in bag. We call they don't have a 2nd bag w our number. They say I took it. How do they know there's a 2nd bag? My bag says 1. Not 1 of 2. But they say there were 2 bags, and I eould have taken both. Not that they screwed up and didn't give us 4 dishes. We last came here about a year ago, restaurant is located in a strip mall so there's plenty of parking & and the food, service were good. However, our experience this time was not good. Ordered papaya salad & the peanuts were stale leaving that bad taste on the whole salad. All of the dishes that had any peanuts in them all were bad. My favorite Thai place ever since I was a kid. My whole family always orders from here. FOOD - as good tasting thai food as you can get. I always get the green curry which is super flavorful and well balanced with enough veggies. The Jay Kee Mau is also super tasty noodle dish. I used to get the Pad Thai but eventually outgrew the fishy taste in it. They ask you for a spice level 1-5. 5 being most spicy. I have a low spice tolerance and 2 was too hot for me. I have to start off and say the service was solid 6/5- it was phenomenal and it was very packed not a seat open in the place. They filled our water every 15 minutes, i so appreciate that! The food was good, we tried a special off the menu, it was a puff pasty with beef, mushroom and we actually don't know what else but it was pretty good! Curry sauce had a spicy kick and was very flavorful. We then ordered the sweet and sour sauce with beef (42. Pad Preow Wan) - it has pineapple, baby corn, peppers and tomatoes. This region of Central Jersey has a number of very good Thai restaurants. I've been to 4 of them so far, and have to say that Thai Kitchen I is the best of them. Their chef is really good with sauces, especially fruit curry reductions, like mango and pineapple curry. It was such a pleasure to dine on site in the attractively designed outdoor dining area, rather than taking away everything for consumption after each dish was somewhat past its prime, as we all have been doing to deal with social distancing in the Age of Covid. Cooler weather kept the crowds down, and I was able to sit alone at a table with no one within 20 feet of me. That took the edge off the low level anxiety felt when people I don't know get too close. Service was friendly and efficient. After ordering the Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodles), the large white bowl was sitting before me in under 10 minutes. It seemed to glow from the mixture of colorful peppers, shrimp and chicken covered in a spicy warm sesame oil base lemongrass Thai basil sauce. The optional heat ranged from 1 to 5 Elephants (clever). I went with level 4, and realized upon eating that a 5 would have been better, as while obviously hot, it was less than expected or hoped for. While not looking for a Szechaun red and black pepper assault, my ideal for Thai dishes provides a lemongrass kick distinct from its Chinese equivalent, that stings the tongue without breaking sweat nor numbing lips. This Pad Kee Mao was still delicious, tender and fresh. Aside from the always subjective spice level question, it was damn near best of breed. It was a winner. I also ordered a few things to bring home for the family that night. Curry Puff appetizer, Papaya Salad, Mango Chicken and Pineapple Fish. Each survived the commute and were very good at our kitchen table. The filling and pastry shell of the Puff were well made and ample, with sweet/tart dipping sauce. The Salad had the anticipated bite, followed by a softer undertone provided by the slivered veggies and thin dressing. The mango and pineapple curries were better than wonderful - they were stupendous! They melded with the chicken and lightly breaded/fried white fish like they had been blessed by a tender gifted hand. The meat/fish were soft, leaving the shouting for the ripe fruit and red/yellow tumeric. The flavor of each was a knockout. It was the first time I loved a fruit based curry dish, and hopefully it won't be the last. And, no. They weren't too sweet. They took me by surprise and had me ruing that I had not eaten such delicacies before. The hour drive from Bucks to Bridgewater was insignificant in the face of such pleasure. P.S. The duck noodles had a good amount of duck in them, which is hard to find at a lot of other Thai places. The shrimp dumplings were mediocre, nothing crazy. The "Mee Siam" was a leap of faith from the usual Pad Thai or Drunken Noodles. I was surprised by the quantity of noodles they gave for the price. I loved the curry powder infused flavor and the charred egg and onions within. I had to take the roast pork out due to my dietary preferences, so I appreciated that they didn't mistakenly put it in there. I have been to Thai kitchen before, it's good, not great. It is always jammed packed, went for lunch yesterday, not an empty table. I ordered the Tom Kha soup, good. Ordered the Lemongrass chicken, not so good. I did order under spicy so that may have helped the very bland flavor but there wasn't a vegetable to be seen. A few slices of red pepper, a green bean, anything would have helped. It is BYOB but it's so busy, watch for beat times to go. read more

I came here with a large family party and our waitress was very rude to us. She was very impolite and didn't want to answer any of our basic questions. We wanted to share plates but she was overselling saying one dish would feed only one person. One dish ended up filling 3-4 people. I'm so glad we didn't listen to her. On top of that one of the dishes that was supposed to be mild was so overly spicy. When I asked for them to substitute a different dish to replace it I ended up getting a horrible stomach ache from the new dish as soon as I came home. I was sick for the next 3-4 days. Came during a weekday lunch. Lucky I got here early (1145) because it was already packed by 12. Food was very tasty. Definitely one of the better Thai places that I've been to in the East coast. Only complaint is that the duck noodles didn't really taste strongly of duck. But it was still delicious so I'll keep it at 5 stars. The prices are extremely reasonable. I think that most of the lunch specials are under $10, and it comes with a very reasonable quantity of food. And thai ice tea only $2.5!!!... I haven't seen it that cheap since I was in Thailand! 4 stars because: Best Thai food I've had so far is from here but dining in feels a bit shabby for the cost. I've been to this location to eat in and have ordered delivery as well. Eating in this location was nice and quaint. We came to eat around dinner time so it was very dark. There are candle lights but they really don't help the eyes much (must be for ambiance), so if you go eat there at night, be prepared to be a little blind. Or eat some carrots, to help your night vision lol Customer service was friendly but I think the dinner prices are a bit above where they should be. Also the tables are crooked! Please place some cardboard under the legs please haha might be ghetto but at least patrons won't have a wobbly table balancing their food. Only once so far did it take more than an hour. Can't go wrong with getting Pad Thai here, which is the gateway dish into Thai food. It's basically noodles cooked with peanut sauce with veggies and/or your choice of meat. 2nd gateway dish is the Thai egg rolls and Thai Kitchen doesn't disappoint. They are tasty and crispy. I just wish it wasn't $2 a roll. These rolls are like 3 inches long and fairly thin in circumference. Way overpriced but too good not to get. If you like a little kick in your food (little spicy) then I suggest getting the Drunken Noodles (Pad Kee Mao on the menu)! Whenever I get bored of Pad Thai, that's my go-to dish! It isn't on the lunch menu though (or maybe they just don't deliver it?) but it is on the dinner menu. Think of Pad Thai, but replace the noodles with thick broad flat rice noodles, and some chili paste mixed in. It's deeper and heavier in taste than Pad Thai. I've also gotten the Pad See Eue and Pad Kra Pao. They were okay. The Pad Kra Pao was incredibly small portions with very little chicken. Maybe they accidentally spilt half or more of the dish when they made it? I was very surprised at how little it was. It was not even enough food to match a happy meal for kids. While not everything is perfect, this place is still worth going to, as long as you get the right dishes! read more

We've been customers here for over 10 years but will not be coming back when certain people are working. The younger man hosting parties to be seated is extremely rude and aggressive. We were a larger party and he was back and forth on wait times, seating, everything. When trying to get a clear answer, his reply was "if you don't like it then go". Fastest meal service I ever experienced! Seemed like they brought out our food just minutes after we ordered, drinks were often refilled - they were on top of things! I got drunken noodles with medium spice, and it was pretty good, but would have loved to taste some more of the dish flavor rather than just the spice. We made reservations for 3 for 7:45 but one of us were running a little late but I still requested to be seated since there were several empty tables. I was shocked at the response since we were told that till everyone is there we cannot be seated. I understand that situation when there are no tables but with several empty tables, we were still denied seating. I am 8 months pregnant and we made reservations so we don't need to stand there and the manager nor the host even had the courtesy to offer seating (I talked to the manager specifically and she just brushed me off). I have never been a fan of Thai food until I found this restaurant. It is always packed and there is always a steady stream of people getting takeout even in the middle of the day. Everything on the menu has been absolutely delicious, even if I order takeout. I've tried 50% of the menu and have never been disappointed. My favorite dish on the menu is the Gang Ped Yang (Duck with red curry). The duck is nice and crisp and paired with the creamy red curry and vegetables, it is just heavenly (I'm drooling just thinking about it). I also am not much of a spicy eater and you can adjust the spiciness to your liking at this restaurant which is perfect for me. I can get my favorite Thai dishes and to the right spiciness level. I'm told this is the best Thai in greater Somerville. I could believe it. It's a large restaurant inside with a large outdoor seating area. Service is friendly. The grounds are very strip mall, so it's not exotic dining. The prices are generally not that cheap, but portion sizes are pretty good and the food quality is commensurate. To the food! My friend highly recommended the shredded papaya salad as "Thai cole slaw". It's salad. The green papaya is crunchy but overall, it's just salad, nothing to write home about. I also got the crispy duck salad appetizer. The duck was not remotely crispy. I didn't think Thai cuisine used tomatos. Nothing special there. Entree-wise, I got red squid curry. I tried to order 5-elephant spicy and probably got 2.5-elephant spicy. Is it my skin color or is this just as hot as it gets? Unimpresed. The curry itself was tasty, average portion, nothing that wowed my socks off. My friend's noodle dish looked fine. The verdict: Plus for service, but that's about it. Standard Thai fare geared toward American palates. 3.5 stars... I'm rounding up because they are nice people, but I'm not chomping at the bit to go back. read more

The foods are ok but the experience is rather unpleasant. Three of us went there for dinner. When the bill came it included 18% gratitude. I understand restaurants usually including gratitude in the bill when there is party of 6 or more. We were happy to tip but by doing this, we felt very much forced and it was rude. Great food and friendly staff. They have the tables spaced out to enforce social distancing and they conduct temperature checks. Along with all the typical COVID safety measures they're keeping a customer log just in case they need to perform any contact tracing. I feel comfortable eating here or ordering food to go. Coworker brought me here for lunch and insisted we get there around 11:30am. As soon as you sit down a complimentary veggie spring roll with a side of sweet sour sauce magically appears in front of you. I ordered the pad see ew and it was more like pad see awesome sauce. Noodles were thick and gooey as I expected from a pad see ew. I gobbled that dish down like a pelican with a fish. As it got close to noon, there was a line out the door. The staff does try to herd you to rotate the seats for maximum effectiveness. I ordered a Thai ice coffee to go, I did not like it at all. The coffee had a burnt flavor and the drink wasn't strong, it was actually weaker and lighter in coffee flavor than an average coffee from a fast food chain. In addition, it had 7.494 times more sugar than the average Thai coffee. I got back to work and threw it out. I will return many times for the food and skip the drinks. read more
