Coworker brought me here for lunch and insisted we get there around 11:30am. As soon as you sit down a complimentary veggie spring roll with a side of sweet sour sauce magically appears in front of you. I ordered the pad see ew and it was more like pad see awesome sauce. Noodles were thick and gooey as I expected from a pad see ew. I gobbled that dish down like a pelican with a fish. As it got close to noon, there was a line out the door. The staff does try to herd you to rotate the seats for maximum effectiveness. I ordered a Thai ice coffee to go, I did not like it at all. The coffee had a burnt flavor and the drink wasn't strong, it was actually weaker and lighter in coffee flavor than an average coffee from a fast food chain. In addition, it had 7.494 times more sugar than the average Thai coffee. I got back to work and threw it out. I will return many times for the food and skip the drinks. read more

I've only been here a couple of times, but this place serves up some of my favorite Thai food in NJ. My favorite thing to order off the menu is #30, the Pla Lam Soot, which is a whole fried fish smothered in tamarind sauce. I've had both the Pad See Eue and Pad Hai Lum and they didn't disappoint. Both noodle dishes came out piping hot and saucy and are very flavorful. The Som Tum (papaya salad) is very light and refreshing--I just think there needs to be a tad bit more fish sauce and a lot more chili in it, and wish they served pork rinds with it too. The Thai iced tea doesn't have a strong tea flavor but I still like it. Which reminds me: the food is served with spice levels of 1-5. One flaw here is that I've tried ordering level 4 on most things and it's never spicy enough for my liking. I feel like I'd need to order level 5 next time and ask for even more additional spice. I guess it's like this to accommodate the local clientele, because I'm used to having my Thai food run a lot spicier. This would be the only reason why I subtracted a star. Anyway, the service is very prompt, my water glass usually never goes empty here, and it's also BYOB! My Lao boyfriend (who basically grew up eating Thai food) approves this message. read more

I have been to other Thai Kitchen locations and this one is by far the best one... not even sure they use the same recipes because I am not a fan of the other Bridgewater location at all. The food here is delicious and they have awesome lunch specials... I am a huge fan of their pad see ew and their mango with coconut sticky rice! My friend and I both thoroughly enjoyed our food (she had eaten her several times before and at the Thai Kitchen II location) Pad Cashew with Vegetables - It was tasty, flavorful, and mildly spicy. The vegetables and tofu were cooked just right and absorbed up all the flavorful yumminess the dish contained. I ordered the 3 star, so was expecting a bit more punch, but it was still good. Service - The service was very friendly, professional and helpful. Our waitress helped guide my friend in choosing her entree, since she didn't want anything too spicy. In fact, they altered her 2 star spicy dish to make it milder, yet still retain the flavor, spices and integrity of the entree. Amazing Thai lunch specials here! It comes with a salad and/ or spring rolls (depending on the day), and is about $9 for everything. I have tried various items from their curries to noodles, but my favorite is the Pad Kee Mow. It comes with chicken and shrimp, which is always a plus. It has the perfect amount of spice mixed with vegetables and a basil/ spicy sauce. The service here is always impeccable as well. On this day, we started with Veggie Spring Rolls and they were served hot and crisp in a serving of three pieces. Veggie Pad Thai had the right mix of veggies and noodles and tasted really fresh. Gang Karee - coconut milk, chili sauce, mix of vegetables - was equally good and was served hot and steaming. Not a big fan of coconut curry so I ordered Gang Paa (aka Jungle Curry sans coconut milk) and loved the spicy onions and green beans in the preparation. Hot is hot here so go for anything above medium only if you can handle the heat. It's a BYOB -we usually bring a crisp pilsner and feel that it goes well with the spicy curry. Love this place - I go for lunch once a week. Fantastic food with great sauces. Service is always spot on & they always ensure your water glass is filled. What kept me from giving them 5 stars: VERY rushed service. They try to push apps on us which we always say no since at lunch they serve a small app to everyone. The food comes out within 3 minutes of ordering. Spice level is not always what you asked for - I ask for a 3, I get a 1. If 2 of us ask for a 4, we get a 2. At that level you can feel the heat, but it's not overpowering. I had the Som Tum Salad for appetizer which is a papaya salad with peanuts with spicy chili, peanuts, and lime juice. It's very good! For dinners I had the Chicken Pra Raam and the Pineapple Shrimp. If you love peanut flavor you will love the Chicken Pra Raam dish! The spicy peanut curry was excellent! It's not too spicy more of a peanut flavor with a kick to it. The Pineapple Shrimp dinner was DELICIOUS! It's lightly breaded shrimp in a pineapple curry sauce. The sauces here are fantastic! That's why I really love the Thai food here! There are too many Americanized Thai places around that are disappointing. This one doesn't disappoint! For desserts I had the chocolate mousse cake and the coconut sticky rice with mango. Both were good! They have a beautiful large outdoor area here too with a roof in case it rains which is also a plus! Thai Kitchen has honestly ruined other Thai restaurants for me, even much fancier ones and ones in big cities. This place has good and super-fast service as well as affordable food (especially the lunch special) that isn't overly sweet like some other Thai places do it. My go-to orders are the pad thai (LOVE the tofu in it), curries (a hearty and flavorful meal), and duck noodles (duck is just like better chicken, simply put). The Thai tea is great for a sweet treat, and to cool things down if you ordered something too spicy. The interior has very nice lighting and decor, plus the classic Asian-restaurant fish tank, giving Thai Kitchen all the best traits of a hole-in-the-wall and a more upscale restaurant. We have eaten here for years and always enjoyed our experience, however, at the end of april 2024, we went to dinner there again and were dissapointed. Not sure, but I am guessing they changed hands. We ordered a duck dish. all the duck pieces were exactly the same cookie cutter shape, as if they were made like a chicken Mcnugget at some food factory. We should have taken that as a warning. My husband and I sat outside for dinner Wednesday night. Since the covid they have made a lively outdoor seating area, pretty flowers, festoon lighting and matching outdoor tables. I have to say it looks very nice. The waitress was very sweet and approached us immediately, menus were photocopied and brand new, everything felt very clean. For dinner I had the cashew chicken and it was delicious! So much flavor and a nice sized portion, it also came with a side of rice. $12.95, can't beat the prices. I have also had green and red curry from here, pad kee mao, and pad Thai. All of which are delicious for the exception of the pad Thai which is average. More seriously, the pad thai #58 made me feel like I teleported to Thailand and ate a loving bowl of sustenance from a caring, authentic grandmother; also managing to fill me up despite my fiending tapeworm (fed two and both had enough to leave with a to-go box to be enjoyed over a smoke later). I had also ordered the #38 entree with beef and while this meals portion was less bountiful in meat than a vegan office party, the beef itself tasted like the cow it came from was massaged daily perhaps hourly. And not a cheap massage we're talking expensive even by Groupon standards. Spice is recommended unless you're vanilla. My water was filled up with perfect frequency and tbh I miss those koi fish they really got me fr fr. Would recommend to a friend or random person in a bar bathroom. Recently we got take out, about 5 dishes, and they confirmed that this restaurant's food has gotten worse, because of the abnormal sweetness in 3 out of the 5 dishes. I've had Thai Kitchen in Chester and I thought the food was meh, so my expectations for the Bridgewater location was the same. Well, I was totally wrong. This location is sooo much better. I only had the Green Curry and Pad Thai, but both were amazing. The Green Curry was super flavorful. Portions are huge (way more than the Chester location), so definitely share or box up your food if you can't finish. If you're weak with spice (like me), don't get level 2 spice. It's not terrible, but you definitely feel it the more you eat. I would say 1 is good if you just want a mild kick. This is also a really great place to eat before a Somerset Patriots game. It's only 15 minutes away :) Also Bridgewater Mall is right around the corner if you need to swing by after eating. read more

The customer service here was on point. Our waitor was very pleasant and helpful with the menu. I had the Pad See Eue, the green curry shrimp dish, and the red curry shrimp dish. The pad see eue was okay but the curry dishes were fantastic. The red curry dish was at a spice level 4 and the green curry dish was a spice level 10, "Super spice" which isn't on the menu. If you like spicy food, then level 4 will not be spicy enough for you and you can always request a higher level. The iced Thai tea was amazing. The ratio of the tea to milk was perfect.
