Ambiance - super casual, couple wall decorations Service - super speedy, we got our food within 10-15 min of ordering Food - Thai iced tea - definitely on the sweeter side Keemow - not spicy at all, sauce was too sweet, beef didn't have much flavor Tom Kha soup - super flavorful but heavy on the lime juice Pad See Ew - noodles were too soft, sauce was on the sweeter side also, chicken was sorta dry

I should have checked the Yelp reviews before ordering. I found Thai Lagoon on Uber Eats while looking for something to eat while I worked at my hotel. The delivery was quick and the order was correct - I got pad see ew with chicken and sauteed greens with beef. I really love pad see ew so I was hoping theirs would be tasty. I was first kind of surprised at the chicken skin that was included in the bowl - it was like someone removed the skin off a drumstick and just threw it in. It wasn't like it was a clear part of anything included that just fell off. I've never seen that before so that was kind of strange to me. The chicken itself was also very dry. The noodles were pretty good, but the dish overall just didn't seem very fresh. I did like the sauteed greens. This dish was really saucy and full of spinach. The beef was a little weird, just a bit of an odd texture and was sweeter than I'd prefer. It came with rice that I mixed in with the sauce. Overall this wasn't my favorite Thai food experience, unfortunately. I'd skip it next time.

Well it's been since covid times have not earlier that I've signed in here from 2019-2020? Originally I was going to go to oak Park Illinois and eat Mama thai but since I've been so busy taking care of my cars and living nearby the neighborhood this Thai restaurant is also delicious and also cheaper I'm surprised Mama thai used to be expensive. I had ordered the green curry and chicken as well as Tom kha soup small in chicken service was attentive and ambience was more of this whole contemporary modern despite that this restaurant has been here for some time. A friend of my unfortunately does not like this restaurant but I still like it. Quality of the Thai ingredients are good in my opinion but also the price is also pretty good too it's just it's a smaller occupancy for a restaurant but if you're in bucktown wicker Park east of Western avenue and North avenue this is a decent place to eat if you're craving for Thai food in which I am I probably might come here more often than Mama thai going to oak Park and since I'm picking the train here again.

Delicious curry. Nice and spicy. Fast and friendly service. The place is cute too. There's these fuzzy monsters on the wall and nice decor. Can't complain!

    BIG PAD THAI

Food was amazing. Crab Rangoons and the big pad Thai were so flavorful. Hands down the best Thai I've had in the city. Perfect portion sizes with lots of protein and delicious sauce. Rangoons were the perfect ratio of crab/cream cheese/ wonton. Also very crispy.

Tried this local Thai place for the first time recently and loved it!!! Service was great. They were always making sure we had what needed but never rushed or bothered. It is also BYOB and there are stores near by to pick up beer or wine. Tried the spring rolls which were not fried and delicious. Had the papaya salad and loved how fresh it tasted with a nice build up of heat. Enjoyed Pad see ew with beef which had great texture with right amount of ratio and sauce. At the end of the meal the server brought me and my friend a delicious slice of cheesecake for free. Was such a nice gesture! Amazingly great prices for everything too! Will definitely come back soon!

Wanted to try a local Thai restaurant, and Thai Lagoon is nearby. The place was pretty empty when we sat down, but most people opted for takeout, and there was a surprising amount that did during the course of the meal. We started with the chicken satay skewers which were really good. They paired well with the peanut sauce and cucumber. For the entrée, I had panang curry and my partner had the pad thai. The curry was rich and flavorful but pretty spicy. It also was on the sweeter side, but not overpowering. Had enough to take home for another meal. The pad thai tasted fresh as the raw vegetables balance the heavier noodles and chicken. We found out later that it's 10% cheaper to order takeout rather than dine in. The ambiance is simple, clean, and open. Nothing over the top but it serves the restaurant well.

Ordered delivery from here, their delivery service could've been better. Took longer than expected and when we tried to call the restaurant, they wouldn't answer. We got a Thai iced tea (it was aight), crab Rangoon (really good), pad Thai (it was very saucy, almost a bit too salty, but I still liked it), green curry chicken (it was pretty delicious, although husband thought it was too spicy). I would order from here again, but probably will pick up instead of getting it delivered.

Ordered Thai takeout for dinner tonight. Prices were reasonable and it's within walking distance so we have TL a try. Overall, we were happy with our meals. It was all packaged Nicely and everything was correct. I ordered pad see ew with chicken and chicken satay. My husband got the keemow with crispy noodles and the app sampler. FYI the crispy noodles are not a topping like we thought, it means all the noodles were crispy. My dish had good flavor and the portions were decent but my chicken was a little dry. When enjoyed his entree but said he wouldn't get the crispy noodles next time. The app sampler was a cool option to get a little of everything. The gyoza and shrimp things were good. My husband enjoyed the crab Rangoon but we didn't love the spring rolls (though personally I'm not normally a fan so that's not specific to TL). All in all, a decent option for the neighborhood!

This was AMAZING. The crab rangoons were so yummy along with the pad Thai! I don't know why it doesn't have a higher rating. Yum yum yum.

There are window views from the restaurant, making for good people watching. Mainly metered parking available Medium to large sized place with dedicated sections for thai food (about 8 tables and 2 rows of bar style seats) vs for sushi and ramen but all under the same place/owner, can order from any menu - the decor on that side is super cute, fish cutouts, anime/manga decorated walls, decked out bars Got the scuba diving chicken from the chefs faves and must say it was pretty good - a bit on the greasier side but the aroma of the herbs and the spices from the curry really pull through, chicken is cooked very well, super tender and juicy. I got the "No turning back" spice level and theres a hefty kick - halfway into the dish my mouth def feels it but nothing too extreme (FYI theres a slight mala-like numbingness to it) The traditional papaya salad was crunchy and refreshing, sauce is tangy but not too overwhelming. The peanuts add a nice nutty element to it. There were hardly any dried shrimp, so wouldve like to see a bit more of that. Be sure to give it a good mix as the sauce and topping fall to bottom of the bowl To top it off, the service was great. Albert was really attentive and helpful - would come back if im in the gold coast area again to try the other menu offerings

Seating was a little tight like at Phodega, but not terrible. To view menu, you scan a QR code at the table. My husband & I ordered the following: - Grilled Squid This was really good! I thought it was going to come out like little calamari rings, but it was actually a decently sized whole squid, sliced with the tentacles on the side. It was cooked perfectly as it was not chewy or rubbery. The flavor was great, especially with the paired Thai-spicy seafood sauce. - Crab Meat Fried Rice Loved that this was with real crab! & not the imitation crab. There were bits of crab meat throughout the rice and then topped with a big lump of crab meat. It came served with a lime & yummy fish sauce with fresh Thai chili's. - Bamee Noodles with BBQ Pork without broth This bowl of egg noodles had a slightly sweet flavor to it, served with a fox amount of BBQ Pork which was also nice & tender! Slurped it all up! - Jina's Fried Chicken This was good, but not anything like out of this world. It was fried chicken leg quarter, served with black sticky rice. - Sweet Sticky Rice with Mango LOVED this! It was a great way to end our meal! I loved that it came with extra sweet sauce! - Taro Tapioca in Coconut Milk Cream This was great too! It was actually a warm dessert. The menu described it as "Tapioca pearls" so I was expecting the tiny little clear boba balls, but it was cubes of like glutinous rice. Which was not bad! I liked it a lot; it reminded me of Ginataang Bilo Bilo (#iykyk if you're Filipino)! Overall, a delicious experience! We would eat here again!
