Thai tea that my friend loved. Check out the straw wrapper decoration.

Kind, pleasant service. I love that the owner has the same employee working front of the house as I saw back in 2021. Dining area late afternoon on a Wednesday was empty and we were nicely attended. Split larb salad with my friend. It's not her jam but we both agreed it's fresh and nicely done. Seems prepared exactly as I've had elsewhere in Sac. I enjoyed my yellow curry asparagus chicken. Brown rice was enough for one person. My friend really liked her chicken vegetables dish. I recommend this spot. Love the full windows for this corner unit. No idea restroom condition or situ. Parking is fantastic. Place is clean, menus nice, all great. Note the restaurant is closed all day Tuesdays. Back-up plan if you forget is the mid-range quality sushi roll counter next door. But you can't beat the quality and taste at Thai Lao Cuisine!

Customer service and cleanliness is 10. Attentive, friendly and food was serve timely. The place is spacious and very clean. I was here first time with my daughter/mommy daughter day out. Our bill came around to $80++ for 2. 2 serving of white rice, Thai ice tea, jasmine hot tea, mango sticky rice dessert, shrimp rolls, pineapple red chicken curry and fried chicken. The menu is plenty but not necessary. The curry was expensive, small portion in my opinion. And, the friend chicken- no need to complicate it. I just wanted a regular flavorful fried chicken even at that price. I didn't like the inside of the chicken, it was stuffed- it didn't say stuffed fried chicken in the menu. Plus, I I had Thai food several time in Thailand. I'm accustomed to the taste. Nonetheless, I'm not measuring the food level here up to the authentic level served in Thailand. But I had better Thai food in other restaurants in US. To be fair, there's plenty other food on the menu to choose from , they may have been better a choice. If I may, keep it simple, fresh and flavorful. Memorable enough once it hits the tastebud you want to come again. Portion and price matters. Have a choice small and large, think that might help. Keep up with the excellent customer service and cleanliness. A little tweak to your menu, might do wonder. There's plenty of restaurants around, authentic ones are rare to find. Be one.

    Why is it so red?

Got the Pad Thai with tofu and its so red! Like weird red and I ordered it not spicey so its not extra spice :( and tastes more like bbq sauce. Definitely different from their photos but now I see other people had the same problem. 3 stars becuase the Pineapple Fried Rice was good!

Drunken Noodles with chicken. Lots of long fettuccine style noodles and no flavor or spice.

Ordered to go just to give it a try while I was in the area. I absolutely love Drunken Noodles and these didn't hit the spot. Long fettuccine style noodles, no spice or flavor. Had to doctor it up a lot when I got home. I like the flat Thai rice noodles and dislike when Thai places use these long noodle. Customer service was good. Don't think I'll be back.

Excellent I would give ten stars if I could! The food is delicious and the service is great as well. A family friendly restaurant, everything fresh and seasoned to perfection. I have tried many Thai restaurants in the Citrus Heights and Sacramento area but choose this one everytime.

What a wonderful service and thank you for the complimentary Thai tea. I love the cleanliness and friendly service. Most people base their experience with the food, but to me the customer service is more important. If the service is wonderful, the food will definitely be wonderful and tasteful. Again thank you for your kind service and look forward to returning back!

I called and ordered for takeout. When I came in to pickup my order and pay for the food, the gentleman told me to next time to order online and save 10% on the bill. I ordered drunken noodles, mango curry, spring rolls and chicken satay. Drunken noodles: *** (ordered medium spicy and it was not spicy at all) Mango curry: ***** (great flavor with kick) Spring rolls: ***** ( great tasting) Chicken satay: **** (good flavor) Service and decor: ***** 22 out of 25 stars, earning 88% or 4 stars from me. I'll come back to explore the menu a little more.

We came here for lunch based on the Yelp reviews. Great beautiful place. Great service, but the food was not to our expectations. The only dish we liked was the papaya salad. 1. Lao Sausage- Bland and dry (Rating 1) 2. Larb Duck - So sweet, no rice powder. Does not taste like Laab (Rating 1) 3. Tom Yum Chicken- No umami or blend of sweet, sour & salty. It was just straight sweet. Never had Tom yum like that before and they add cabbage to their Tom yum. (Rating- 1) 4. Lao Papaya Salad. Very delicious. Blends with sweet, salty, sour & umami (Rating- 4). It could possibly be a 5 if the portion wasn't so little. I don't see why Lao flavors in this restaurant. We gave a 2 rating for the food and a 4.5 for the service.

We came here for a UYE Xmas dinner and get together with Yelp friends. Rachelle M. was our lovely party sponsor who planned the event. We filled the whole reserved table area with our festive group. The wait staff was on the ball and very attentive. We were glad to find out that they allowed separate checks for each guest or family. The food was delicious too! I love Thai food and this restaurant did a nice job on creating some very flavorful dishes. Joe K and I shared vegetables with fried tofu, yellow shrimp curry, fried eggplant with veggies and steamed rice. We also got complimentary egg rolls with sweet & sour sauce. I was pleasantly surprised to find my egg rolls were vegetarian while others had meat in theirs. As a finishing touch, I just had to end my meal with a mango & sweet sticky rice dessert! Everyone seemed to enjoy their food. But Joe K and I did notice that the portions were a little smaller than expected. That was OK by me, because I like being able to finish my dinner with room for dessert. However my BF was still hungry by the time we returned home. Also, the eggplant dish didn't measure up to some of the other Thai restaurants we frequent in our neighborhood. But other than that, we enjoyed the whole experience. Thank you Rachelle, for putting this event together to celebrate the Christmas holiday and breaking bread with Yelp friends!

Great food and nice little Thai place located in Safeway parking lot in Carmichael. I ordered the Pad See Ew with pan fried flat rice noodles, eggs, garlic, broccoli, carrots cabbage and brown sauce the spice was perfect for me. My husband ordered the Pad Thai with pan fried rice noodles with eggs, beans sprouts, green onions and topped with ground peanuts the spice was about 1 spice level. Should of went with level 2 my husband likes spicer food. Service was good and portions were large and food was very good. Thai Loa Cuisine has a nice dinner menu with a lot of choices. We attended a Yelp event and everyone ordered a variety of different dishes and everyone seemed to enjoy their meals.

    SE48. Mixed Seafood
    Victor M.

First and last time we brought from this restaurant. We ordered 3 items, the mixed seafood was poorly served. As you see in the picture it had just 2 shrimps and 2 mussels, where were the rest of seafood?? Also no side dish or rice came with it, you have to pay extra $3 for it. Paying $20 for this item no worth it. Then, the wonton soup had more noodles than meat and veggies, and no flavor on it. The soup was more water and broth. The same with the other item. Also,no utensils no napkins and the package was really poor, almost half of our soup was leaking in it.

    $15 small portion, sweet-and-sour stirfry
    Richard H.

I felt the need for to eat something with noodles. So I looked into GrubHub to see what they had to offer. This was a big mistake. The GrubHub person just dropped the food at the front of my door without ringing the bell, or knocking on the door. ..... I only happened to find it because the tracking app said they were here. I looked outside the door and there it was..... sitting on the floor, getting cold, whoever the deal every person was with an idiot and incompetent. I ordered sweet-and-sour stirfry , Fish cakes, House, salad, cucumber, salad, drunken noodle, large Thai iced tea.... The only thing a halfway decent was probably the large Thai iced tea and that was $6.50 I paid $12 for the house salad, eight dollars for the cucumber salad, $15 for the drunken noodle and $15 for the sweet-and-sour stirfry. The drunken noodle were just plain noodles with no flavor whatsoever and a little bit of tough beef .. I could make this myself and made it taste a whole lot better.... The sweet and sour stirfry had a ridiculous small portion for the over price of $15... I'm not gonna waste my time and tell you how bad that small portions and over priced food was overall .... I paid approximately $75 for lousy tasting food and stuff. I could've made this for myself. You can look at my photographs below and see what I'm talking about. Small portions overprice food. Plus it's all tasted pretty bad. ... And the worst part is, I actually had better tasting food of all places Florida ...

The food here is consistently excellent. Nothing tastes frozen or reheated; the vegetables are fresh and crisp, the steak is cooked to perfection, and the pad see ew is easily the best I've had anywhere. The fried rice is perfectly seasoned, and honestly, everything on the menu is -- each dish complements the next so well that every bite feels intentional. From appetizer to dessert, everything is delicious. Prices are reasonable, especially given the current economy -- a real point in their favor. A small corkage fee is charged if you bring your own wine, which is a fair trade-off. Service is excellent: attentive without ever feeling intrusive, always there when you need something. The first half dozen times I came, was during 2020 and 2021 and they did not allow anyone inside beyond a tiny 3'x3' space at the far door. Take out only. I recall my review mentioned service time quoted wrong and inconsistent spice level. Well, those two were problematic tonight. I didn't ask and wasn't told how long food would be. Shortly after placing my order a group of young people walked in like they owned the place and sat at a long table that had dishes added to it as they were coming in. My food took 30+ minutes. The Tom kha seafood... I think the seafood may have been frozen and re-thawed a couple of times as it had a strange combination of textures within a piece of meat and pieces were very chewy. The spiciness, asked for medium but not too hot, like mild-medium. My liquidy yellow curry chicken was barely mild. The soup, was just sweet. Tbe rice was abundant but soggy/clumpy. The inside is absolutely lovely. I took tons of pictures for my first visit inside. I was told most was imported from Thailand. I believe it. I'm just not able to get myself to find the food good enough for me. Sad.
