My partner and I stopped by after visiting his uncle at the hospital. We were hungry, and the outside decor caught our attention. Yelp reviews looked promising, even though it was about 40 minutes before closing. We saw customers inside enjoying their meals, so we decided to give it a try. When we arrived, we were greeted by a server who seemed rushed and seated us quickly at the first available table, which we understood given the timing. The interior was cute, and they even had a small baby piano, which added a nice touch. We ordered salt & pepper wings as an appetizer and each got a bowl of pho. My partner ordered the C1 with brisket and meatballs, and I got the C3 with chicken, brisket, steak, and meatballs. Unfortunately, the food was underwhelming. The wings didn't taste fresh, more like they had been reheated. When our pho arrived, the portions seemed uneven. My partner's bowl had noticeably fewer noodles and limited portions of protein, while mine had much more, so I ended up sharing. The chicken in mine was very dry, and overall, the meats didn't taste fresh. The broth itself was quite bland-good pho usually has a rich flavor even without adding condiments, but my partner had to add quite a bit of soy sauce just to enjoy it. Service was also lacking. After our food was delivered, no one checked on us. We noticed other tables being attended to more frequently, but we couldn't get anyone's attention even when trying to flag down a server who seemed too busy. I enjoy going to Pho house to get my Pho and fresh spring roll fix among other things This is a cozy little restaurant in a strip mall in the same lot as TikTok Nails. I stop by here especially since it is in my town and the food for the most part is delicious. I've order the special Pho that literally has everything in it it's so delicious and the broth is so flavorful. The veggie Pho is bland the veggies are still very hard overall I wouldn't get it again it was a complete fail. The salt and pepper tofu is amazing crispy and flavorful and the perfect texture and the lime dipping sauce is fabulous! I always order the fresh shrimp spring l roll with fish sauce since I have a peanut allergy. It's so delicious and refreshing. I've even ordered their smoothies my favorite is the honeydew they can make with or without milk. The I've both ordered take out and dined in and the service is always great the staff is always friendly. Keep in mind they get really busy too! If you haven't checked out Pho House it's a must. I came with a group of 7. We did a walk in and were greeted immediately. It was a really nice restaurant with a lot of seating. This was my first time here, and I ordered this noddle soup that looks very similar to Bun Bo Hue in pictures. The waitress let me know to read the description because it was a similar dish but it was not the việt noodle soup that I was expecting for. I still ordered it and it was good. Hidden gem!!!! You need to stop in here and eat. Hubs and I stopped in today (Saturday afternoon) and we were immediately greeted by friendly staff with a beautifully decorated interior. I'm still excited about it. We were seated quickly and served just as fast. We ordered a pineapple cloudy cold sake- they warn you it's sweet. It isn't too sweet like a mixed drink. We thought it pared perfect with the Sapporo beers we had as well. We ordered a flaming dragon roll and the brisket pho. The roll was beautiful and the flavor was SO good. Wow. I dipped it in their house made hosin sauce and a tad of soy sauce. I don't usually order rolls like that but the presentation and flavor is making me miss it right now. The pho is probably the best I've had. It tasted clean with the perfect amount of veggies and noodles. The staff were so kind and friendly. They told us about how they came to be there and how it is a Japanese and Vietnamese fusion restaurant. We chatted about the hand painted paintings they have in there (so cool!!) and how the sushi chef has been doing this for 25 years and learned from a Japanese chef. They seem to mostly be family. Absolutely love this restaurant! Every time I've come here I have not been disappointed and my cravings are satisfied. The restaurant is clean, beautiful, and the staff are friendly and attentive. I've done both to-go and dine in here and haven't had any issues. The restaurant can get somewhat busy in the afternoons but they have lots of seating. Lots of parking so no worries there too. My go to is the spicy beef noodle soup because it is so flavorful and rich! It is the perfect spicy soup that warms you up and makes you wish the bowl wouldn't end. This review is for the Vietnamese food only, as we haven't had their sushi yet. I'll start by saying their iced Vietnamese coffees are amazing and my husband and I have been here several times just for the coffee. The staff are attentive and friendly and we are always greeted right away. The coffees only take a minute, which is a plus. The ambience is great and the interior has a clean aesthetic. We recently had pho here and it was delicious. They have plenty of options for both meat eaters and vegetarians, but not so many that is overwhelming to choose. We also started with pan fried gyoza and it was some of the best gyoza I've had. They put the sauce on the plate under the dumplings, which we absolutely loved. We were here on a Tuesday night around 5:40-6:30 and it was not very busy when we arrived, but had picked up a bit by the time we left. This was my favorite Vietnamese spot in Arden/Carmichael before the change and I am loving the upgrade. First things first- the new decor is adorable and it smells delicious the second you walk in. The menu was slightly overwhelming considering I was so use to the old menu before the change. The Vietnamese food has not changed which is great because it's soooooo good. Stopped here on Friday after tiring ourselves out with holiday festivities around town. It's down the street from our house and the little one with us said pho sounded delicious. We walked in an hour before close and the nice woman who sat us came by very promptly as we closed our menus to take our order. The food came out pretty quickly, which pho usually should, but I've been held up at other places before. The broth was hot and savory in the best way. Not spicy, but they had chili oil and fresh sliced jalapeños if you wanted it to be. The basil was super fresh and she brought extra limes as soon as we asked for them. The portions for the broth and noodles were HUGE. The meat servings were not as large as expected but it's only $3 for an extra plate of meat. Overall, our experience here was delightful. Luckily, Pho House Restrnt is just three minutes from our house because it is now our favorite destination. . My husband is Vegan, and I love that the recipes can be made vegan by substituting tofu . I am gluten-free, and I order the vegetarian Pho with or without the rice noodles. The subtle flavors of the Pho broth, are the most nurturing possible food for my delicate tummy . I love that the vegetables in the vegetarian Pho are still crispy .... such as the cabbage and bok choy ... the carrots and broccoli are softer. The vegetarian food is accompanied by a plate of fresh bean sprouts, a big sprig of on herb, and six slices of jalapeño peppers for the brave .... I put the bean sprouts into the pho and they blend well with the noodles. It is a large portion and I usually take home half of it for next day . I have no trouble with gluten reactions, eating vegetarian pho here . The restaurant staff is very accommodating and friendly and parking is plentiful and free in front If you like made from fresh with a homemade taste, Asian food ... there is a wide variety of dishes. Pho house is adding sushi and have been continuing to widen the menu from the original Vietnamese.. I was in the area and found this neighborhood Pho place on Yelp. It was a rainy day, perfect for warm and yummy soup. It's in a nondescript strip mall and doesn't look so great from the outside. But once you get in it is really big, and looks nice with a player piano and other neat musical instruments on all of the walls. My friend and I shared chicken spring rolls, super good, fresh and the peanut sauce was wonderful. I had the wonton soup bowl and my friend has the shrimp version, with gigantic shrimp. Both were really delicious, the broth and noodles were really tasty. There were lots of fresh carrots and broccoli in mine too. I couldn't finish the soup and I took a spring roll home. It has really improved with the new sushi bar, the new menu (lots of Vietnamese and sushi selections with color photos), the enhanced decor (new chairs, tables, etc.), and the increased ambiance, and service. I was craving pho and my partner wanted sushi so we went here and ordered accordingly. We were not disappointed. However, my partner said the sushi was good, but not fantastic. For it is evident that by then it is closing time based on how they uncourteouly they serve your food. The place seems to close at 8:30pm but really close at 9:00pm. I tried this place out for the first time today. I know the weather was pretty warm, but hot or cold weather, my pho craving is endless! So, you know I had to get my fix. I ordered the Chicken Pho with a side order of the egg rolls. The pho was PERFECTION. The broth was savory and full of flavor, and packed with chicken pieces, of course. Keep in mind, there's only one size which is basically almost a large, so I recommend going there pretty hungry and ready to eat a lot! The egg rolls were also very tasty and just the right size. You get three rolls cut in half, so technically it's six pieces. They were perfectly crispy and had great flavor, too. I believe they were made with taro, ground meat, those little rice noodles, and other veggies. Very tasty! The service was also wonderful. This restaurant appears to be run by this little family and they honestly work so hard! For a week day, it was actually decently busy, but even with that, I was shown to a table quickly. The food also came out in a super timely manner despite how busy they were, too, so that was impressive. The overall location is cute and decently spacious inside, so even when busy, I don't think I'd feel too cramped or overwhelmed. This restaurant is located inside a quiet shopping center with ample parking, which is always a plus! Overall, the food was great, service was timely and friendly and it's in a nice center. We found Pho House on Yelp and are so glad that we did! Coming in around 7pm, the restaurant had a lot of tables filled. We also noticed alot of to go orders being fulfilled too. The restaurant expanded to two units so there are two doors, but only the left one is used/open. Food: * Goi Cuon Thit Nuong/Grilled Pork Spring Rolls: Good appetizer. I wish there was more grilled pork in these because they were so good! The peanut sauce was done very well too. Each order comes with 2 spring rolls, each cut in half. * Pho Tai Bo Vien: The pho portion is very filling. There's only one size offered and I would say this is a solid medium sized bowl. I typically order a small, so I was filled to the brim. The steak and meatballs were very good. The broth was flavorful and soup arrived piping hot. Very yummy! * Banh Mi Thit Nuong/Grilled Pork Sandwich: Very good. Price is steep for what I'm used to ($3.50-5 per sandwich), but maybe it's the norm for Cali. Grilled pork was good and I really enjoyed every bite. Parking is plentiful. Pho House is located in an unassuming plaza. Service: GREAT! We saw people workers out front. The man who brings guests in and takes orders is amiable and helpful. The woman organizing and delivering the food is easily seen hustlin' behind the counter. Our food came out timely. We always get their chicken noodle soup. My family won't have any other pho. We mostly do take outs in recent years and they give us good amount of veggies toppings and noodle - as much as if you were to dine in. (I say this because a lot of restaurants tend to skimp on food in take out orders - very disappointing) We've been their customers since they first opened as pho no 1 in Fair Oaks.
