I've driven past this little restaurant many times but has never stopped. My sister is with me and she said it's really good. She right. The service was fast and they were very nice. The lobster Ragoons were amazing. They were piping hot and the cream cheese was perfectly melted around the lobster. I had a chicken taco and a beef taco. I liked the beef one better. This place is really good! And not at all what we expected. I was thinking it would be normal Thai food but it is really Asian fusion. A combo of Thai, Indian, Mexican food. My husband got the poke bowl-raw salmon, and impressed. I got 2 tacos-the chicken with peanut sauce and a Thai chicken with rice. Loved that I had the option of corn tortillas. Very flavorful. The atmosphere was clean and modern. They had lots of customers. The people that worked there were very friendly and helpful. They have a real Thai cook! They were super accommodating and they would have made us something special order if we wanted. Thai Loco is a very unique experience, this restaurant infuses tacos with Thai flavors. Each taco was very unique and had a lot of flavor. I highly recommend the medium and hot salsas, both add significant flavor to the tacos. The hot salsa sauce is noteworthy, it has a good amount of heat but also a tremendous amount of flavor. We just moved to Stillwater and have been trying a lot of the local spots. I will definitely be a regular customer here! Their coconut shrimp bowls are so good! My husband ordered a variety of tacos they have w/ a request of flour tortilla instead of corn and all of his tacos were delicious! The girls loved the chicken tenders and cheese quesadillas. I think this place deserves a second visit from me... The clerk was friendly, and he told me that most people order a couple of tacos from the taco menu. I ordered the top tacos from the corn tortilla menu and the flour tortilla menu. Respectively, the crispy chicken taco and the Asian BBQ taco. The crispy chicken taco was disappointing because the chicken was like frozen, baked, breaded chicken strips. It was supposed to come with peanut sauce (which is what I was most excited about, since I love peanut sauce) but the sauce was at the very bottom of the tortilla. It didn't help moisten the chicken, and I didn't perceive it as sauce because the only evidence was a few chopped peanuts. At least I had some salsa with it. The Asian BBQ taco was better. It was white rice, plenty of tender BBQ chicken, and chopped green onion in a flour tortilla. The chicken was sweet and flavorful. The green onion was a crisp contrast. The amount of rice seemed to be a little much, but add salsa and it's fine. As I said in the beginning, I need to come back and order something different from the menu. Lots of people like this place, and perhaps there is a good reason. read more

It's definitely Thai fusion so they have some staple Thai dishes in taco form, as quesadillas and burritos. They also some sushi burritos which I decided to try. I ordered the loco crunch burrito which had shrimp tempura, crab salad, and slaw. Tempura was light but still crunchy, shrimp not over cooked and had a good amount of crab. An amazing restaurant in Stillwater that I love to hit whenever I am back in town reliving my college days. I love that they have a drive thru as well now which makes pickup super convenient. I love the crispy chicken tacos, mojo shrimp tacos and the crab rangoons are a MUST. Get extra thai sweet sauce, you won't regret it! Good, but not spectacular. I was expecting intense Thai flavors and of course the Thai heat. Not so, the food is very mild and a little bland. The sauces on the tacos stood out as did their optional hot or mild salsa that you can ask for on the side. My first impression was that the size of the tacos looked bigger on their website. I after pulling back the foil I could see the tacos were stuffed! One is not quite enough for a meal, but two is almost too much food. We had two Thai peanut chicken, one spicy basil chicken and one of the spicy lime chicken tacos. I ordered the spicy ones; they were good but not spicy. I was hoping for the fresh aromatic flavors of basil and lime with some Thai chili heat. It just wasn't there. They had a special on fried Thai spring rolls. They were small and average in taste. The novel approach of serving Thai food, Mexican style makes for a convenient way to eat it. That probably helps to drive popularity of this restaurant. Love this place! The coconut shrimp taco was recommended but only after Id already ordered. I ordered the Thai Fish & Crispy chicken tacos and they were amazing! So if the coconut shrimp taco was better than that, I don't know how I'll be able to remain calm. Haha! We also go a appetizer of the Crab Rangoon, so good! The hubs isn't crazy about cream cheese, so they were a little much for him, but I thought they were fantastic. The sauces were good too. The hubs got the spicy, but I stuck with the mild! If you go, try the coconut shrimp taco. Or maybe not, because I've heard you might not try anything else?! So maybe start with the fish and chicken tacos like I did so you can still try the shrimp! It's a great concept, two of my favorite foods and was looking forward to the fusion concept, but it was overall kind of disappointing. The outside patio at sunset was nice when there wasn't loud trucks revving their engines past since it is right off the highway. I got the pad thai burrito, and tempura shrimp burrito. The tempura shrimp burrito was poorly made with little filling. The Pad Thai burrito was sour and I got sick from the food unfortunately. I've been her several times now. My favorite has to be the tuna poke bowl. It's just so fresh and lite. I also liked their crab rangoons - they weren't to sweet which seems to be an issue at other places sometimes. I've also had several of their tacos. Much needed spot in Stillwater! I've eaten here a couple times now and it's becoming a lunch time staple. They offer Thai inspired tacos, sushi burritos, and poke bowls. Today, in ordered the tuna poke bowl with the Highway 51 taco . They offer corn tortillas and flour options with a wide variety of flavors and comminations. The Highway 51 was seasoned shredded beef, lettuce, aoili, and pico. One of my instant favorites! A lot of flavor, juicy and they load the meat on it! The poke bowl consisted of raw tuna (soy teriyaki glaze), rice, salad mix, cucumber, avocado, and spicy mayo sushi sauce. Pretty filling. Really good, but not the best poke bowl I've ever had. The authentic flavors of Thai loco combined with the trendy atmosphere made for a perfect lunch. Each member of our party tried something different, and we each left full and satisfied! I tried the okie poke sushiritto. The ratio of filling to rice was more than a normal sushi role, which is just one of the reasons I liked it. All of the ingredients were fresh and complimented the raw tuna well. Another member of our party got the mango tango sushiritto and raved about the flavor. So I came I to to Stillwater for work for the first time from down in OKC. I saw this place and immediately decided this was where I was going to eat today. When I came in I looked at the menu and asked questions because I have Celiac. Most of the shrimp dishes are GF but I don't do shrimp or most seafood from a land locked state, I know I know. I'm spoiled having been raised and lived 99% of my life on either the east coast or the west coast. So My only other two options were the pork taco and the Thai chicken curry taco. Got 1 of each. The pork was good reminded me of a tradition Mexican taco. The Thai curry was amazing. I could t believe that it was so damn good. I realized half way through a size of curry was the only thing missing instead of the salsa they gave me. I did use the salsa on the pork taco and I used hot, but to me it was more like mild. I do wish there were more GF options but it's okay there aren't as many of us in Oklahoma, celiacs. But I will bring my husband one day. He will love the burrito or a few tacos. I ordered 3 tacos, the Asian bbq chicken was probably my favorite. The mojo shrimp and thai curry chicken taco were great as well. The tacos are reasonably proced and I felt more than satisfied after eating 3 after only spending 10 bucks. The staff there are super friendly as well. I explained how it was my first time there so they didn't hesitate to give me some recommendations. My only complaint is that they put a little bit too much white rice in my tacos.
