I stuffed my face with chicken and vegetables, an egg roll, some wontons, a bunch of baked seafood and three plates of decent sushi, following it up with just a little bit of banana pudding. This time my selection was the vegetable egg foo young with me feng noodles and mushrooms in oyster sauce. This was an excellent high protein meal and I tried a small portion of the baked white fish as well. If you are a fan of healthy and high protein dishes do give them a try. Go early for lunch and the selection is very fresh and delicious. Service is excellent and very attentive to customers. We come here once a week and it's consistently great. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and the service is on point every time. This is a good restaurant to choose when you have a big group. Lots of seating-both booths and tables and the buffet has a huge selection. There's Chinese food, sushi, American food -something for everyone in your group. Food choices are labeled in case you're not sure what you were about to try! I'm not sure what the children's price is but the adult price is $15.97. The sushi bar is included in the price. The drinks were just $1 with free refills. You paid at the beginning. If you don't have cash to leave on the table as a tip, don't forget to include that in your payment. The friendly servers were quick to bring out drinks and take away dirty plates. They definitely earned a little something extra. The restaurant appeared clean and nicely decorated. The overhead music set the tone; it was calming. The bathroom smelled like...well... a bathroom. Honestly place was pretty alright. Got in and seated quickly and drinks were refilled at a good rate. The layout of the buffet is simple but nice in presentation and accessibility to the tables surrounding the food. Food itself was fine nothing exceptional. Outside was inviting. The inside is pretty standard for a buffet. Everything was very fresh. I was really surprised. Hibachi had shrimp, chicken, beef all cooked in front of you with the spices you want on them. (I picked hot garlic) Flavor was on point! The Chinese options were great, salad bar was good and the dessert bar was fair. Ice cream is in a cup, like you would get in elementary school. This is a great upgrade to the every Sunday Golden coral dinners. They have a wide verity for everyone. Everything was really clean, well stocked and looked fresh. I went to Imperial in March 2024 and was disappointed in their offerings like chicken with broccoli, the sesame chicken and the gen zhou chicken. These came from a frozen bag and heated up - the textures of all the ingredients were the same - mushy, and all tasted the same. What seemed like the best choice was the hibachi bar where you load up your fresh ingredients and they cook right away. The salmon was good. But the egg rolls were cooked and held over - very tough and hard to chew. The rice and noodles on the food bar were mushy. All in all not a fresh experience. Of the oriental food, I was pressed to find something good. The egg drop soup was anemic, the General Tso's chicken was mostly breading, the egg rolls were cool (not hot) and not appetizing, and the fried rice was uninspiring.The iced tea was weak - you could see through it like dirty water. I did not try the sushi even though I love sushi. I don't eat sushi from a "place like this." Low reviews are for past owners years ago. Now, this place is AWESOME. It is a very large buffet , plus hibachi. We are pescatarian (only meat is fish) and it has plenty of decent options for us. LOTS of GOOD desserts...best desserts of any Chinese buffet I've been. There are 2-3 buffet tables with desserts, including ice cream cups, home baked items (hot), and FRESH cut fruit. I appreciate their NO WASTE policy (please read sign when you enter) and it's easy to do this if you are conscientious of what you put on your plate. Worth the $15 dinner price if you go hungry. Buffett is always hot, there is a gentleman walking around the Buffett with a walkie talkie and he is checking to see what's low and needs to be changed, then he calls it back to the kitchen and they bring it. Sushi and hibachi was fresh and abundant. Buffet items were all filled and hot. The hot food items needed some personalized seasoning, but this is expected as people's tastes differ. There were plenty of American and children's options as well. There were plenty of dessert choices, including individual ice creams, cookies, cakes and pudding. One beef dish flavor was so unusual it almost tasted as if black coffee was used as a base flavor profile, was very off putting. Attempted the hibachi, serve your own shrimp then they cook it up, shrimp was not deveined a major red flag. I had visited the new imperial grill, my first encounter with the guy cashier was not Pleasant,he was rude and accuse my 10yr old granddaughter of not being 10 said she was too big for her age, then he proceeded to walk around and look to see how many plates we had on our table basically watched our every move.
