Items were crunchy, the inside was meaty with cream cheese and artificial crab. They were tasty! Pad Thai seafood combination: Stir fried rice noodles with shrimp, fish, squid and mussels. Portion size is huge! I asked for extra spicy and they delivered. I coughed for 2 minutes straight because I got a good piece of chili and wasn't expecting it. But I'm not complaining! Sweet sticky rice with mango: It was okay. I don't think I would get it again but it was still good. The mango was fresh, I just didn't like the texture. My boyfriend and daughter loved it though. I read fairly good reviews on Yelp so gave them a try. Well, I gave them a 3 out of 5. There was a funny smell throughout our visit. We were the only ones in the restaurant throughout the noon hour and then some, although several to go orders came through. The food we got was just ok. Eggrolls were mostly dough and overcooked, the Panang Curry was mostly soup with little veggies. Staff not very attentive, in an empty restaurant makes you wonder. read more

Love Thai food, the place I normally go to is closed until Halloween so I wanted to try a Tom Yum soup from elsewhere. Got a soup to go and I've never had a tom yum soup with more galangal ( similar to ginger) than anything ! Every time I'd dip my spoon in, it was just galangal and leaves. This was the worst food, Thai or otherwise, that I've had in a very long time. The house fried rice was flavorless and had huge slices of dry, very tough meat. The eggplant was mediocre & garlic sauce had a strong burnt soy sauce taste. Dumplings were not fresh or tasty. I am perplexed at the high ratings. After our meal, I ended up with a MSG headache. We're vegetarian, so here's what we ordered and how it tasted: 1) panang curry medium spicy: spicy, soupy, coconuty, good flavor though not as peanuty as I expect panang curry to be, more of a red curry flavor 2) spicy basic noodle medium spicy: not at all spicy, plus bland and disappointing. Not like pad kee mao 3) broccoli: soupy and good mild flavor 4) sweet and sour tofu: good, typical version of this dish 5) crispy basil tofu medium spicy: not at all spicy, and SUPER sweet sauce, soupy around the tofu Generous portions of rice came with the dishes. You ever visit a grandparent and they suggest you all go to a really good restaurant and you show up and there's a dude hollering for more "free salad" at a table near the entrance and it smells weird- kinda like a sewer- but the staff is so attentive when you arrive, you decide to give it a whirl? This is that place. Minus the grandparents bc mine aren't local. Once you get past the strange smell, it's really good. We had the fried basil and tofu and the red curry with vegetables. I don't eat any refined or added sugar normally, so the basil sauce seemed sweet to me, but it was really good. Fried tofu was an amazing consistency. The red curry was great, but I wish I'd eaten that first, so the basil dish could have been dessert! The service was perfectly attentive and unobtrusive. The server cracked me up at the end when she showed up and my husband hadn't eaten his last piece of bok choy. He said he didn't like bok choy and she told him to eat his vegetables, which I would have said if I didn't have food in my mouth. Maybe you had to be there, but it was funny, largely because she's definitely probably 20 years younger than my husband. Anyway. Worth the stop if you're nearby and hungry. On this visit I started my meal soup, to be honest I wasnt a fan, the soup didn't have a lot of flavor and was on the greasy side. I must qualify this review to say that I've only had their food via delivery, but the food is SO good that I do plan to check out their brick and mortar place too. My last order was crispy basil tofu, and it was one of the best Thai dishes I've ever had! The tofu was fried on the outside for a nice, firm texture, and it was mixed in a spicy-sweet sauce with crispy fried basil leaves. I never would have expected to like fried basil, but it was addictively good! The meal came with a huge pile of jasmine rice, which was perfect for absorbing the sauce. I immediately called the restaurant whose response was "hmmm a rock how weird chicken does not have rocks". Ummm .. NO food should have rocks. They said they would refund me that ONE item (not the whole order, just that one dish.. how kind...) and she asked me to TEXT her a photo of the rock for proof. Wow amazing customer service. After a second visit I feel Thai Lotus is still good enough to satisfy your Thai Cravings with their Great Big Menu and many assorted specials, seafood dishes you just don't get at most places. This time I tried the Pumpkin Curry with Chicken. Every different Thai Place puts their own spin on this dish. The Variation I had was thin and more like Red Curry with less coconut and thinner. I liked that threw out the dish were chunks of pumpkin It was still tasty. I also liked how they made the dish colorful with the vegetables but the chicken in this dish was too dry for me to give a four star Yelp review as I'm not a fan of dry chicken no matter what kind of restaurant I'm in. My husband had the Basil Noodles with beef. The dish had a nice flavors and the heat levels in both dishes were good for us but the beef was dry and chewy. Great find! We live right around the corner and have been trying out new places. Based on good reviews, gave it a try. It is in a sketchy area and my husband didn't even want to go in but I made him. Lol. We came on a Friday night around 7. When we came in it was virtually empty. Not a good sign. There were 1 or 2 others there. But we stayed. The whole place is booth seating like an old Denny's. Our young server was friendly and got our drink order. Then we ordered. I got hot jasmine tea and then Tom Kha? soup and my husband got Pad Thai. Good thing we asked about spice levels. They only do 3 levels - low, medium, high. The server told my husband that medium was "perfect" for her and not too spicy. He was about to do that and I convinced him to do low. Glad he did. His Pad Thai was still super spicy. I tried it and my mouth was burning and nose started running. The medium would have been way too hot! But, it was SO good! The flavors were great and fresh. I got my soup with low spice too, and chicken with extra mushrooms. It was great too. Only complaint would be service. After we got our entrees our server disappeared and never came back to check on us. We wanted some rice and to order dessert. We finally got the rice and ordered the mango sticky rice for dessert. It was super yummy! So excited to have a new go-to place for a Thai and go try some other dishes! read more

I ordered through Yelp and hadn't driven past here until I went to get my food today. Not real cute from the outside but the inside is fine! My food was ready in time and they were quick to get my food to me. I was a little let down by the curry. I absolutely love pumpkin curry, I almost always order it when it's an option at Thai restaurants. Their curry fell a little flat for me. The broth was creamy and delicious, and the tofu was prepared just right, but everything else was just kind of off. It was like packed with basil. I love basil but I really don't want to eat a ton of basil leaves on a stem. Like I pulled so much freaking basil out of that. Also the pumpkin in it was kind of gross, just like super mushy and a little grainy. I was disappointed because I was excited for the pumpkin.
