We had finished a market nearby and we were hungry saw it had decent reviews and thought we would check it out. It is under new management & in 2 of the pho bowls we found hair in noodles and the tendon. They did refund us for the two soups. There was a cockroach crawling up the wall also which put us off. The spring rolls were cold which was unexpected as I'm used to them being made to order so it's warm to the touch. The bo luc lac was flavorful and the beef was tender with finger licking sauce that goes great work just plain white rice. Overall, service was slow once the good came out because there are only 3 people working the restaurant. Been ordering take out for 5 years from my favorite North Phoenix Place. Usually Pho Ga and egg rolls. Called last night and noticed a new voice on the line, New ownership! So how was it? [[HIGHLIGHT]]I noticed some new photos in the window (nice touch), inside had new pictures and freshened up with nice art.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The Vietnamese family greeted me and thanked me. The verdict, an order of egg rolls is 4 instead of 2. They were a bit greasy and not crunchy. The Pho Ga was very good. The broth was a bit dark which chicken Pho usually is chicken base so it's not dark. The taste was very good. Plenty of limes, jalapeños, sprouts and fresh basil. I did like that the cooked chicken was left out of the broth for takeout to avoid over cooking. For just opening, congratulations to the new family. Will I miss the past family, of course. Haven't ordered from here for over 2 years, saw under new management sign out front and decided to take a chance and IT IS AMAZING! The broth was delicious it tasted nostalgic and such a different experience from 2 years ago, the customer service was so friendly and quick I asked for extra siracha and they delivered and gave chili oil as-well which took the pho to a whole new level of deliciousness! I went on a Wednesday night around 5pm and there was only 2 people eating there in the whole place. I think this is definitely a hidden gem. The ambiance inside is not great and it felt a little warm and it was dead silent (they need some music playing). I got the order to go and when I got home the food was still hot and all the flavors were very balanced and tasted like this woman knew what she was doing! It felt like it was a home cooked meal- very authentic! Prices weren't bad at all- very reasonably priced. The service is awesome and I'm in no way trying to shame anyone for the job they're doing. But the food is so bad! Everything I ordered was too sweet, even the pho broth. I can tell they must add a lot of rock sugar. The broth didn't have layers of flavor like other pho does. No umami, no savory, no acidity, just a gamey and sweet broth.
