Everything was very good except the service and pad thai. The paid thai is way too sweet and noodles were overcooked and gummy. Pad see eew and fried rice were great. Service is mediocre. They completely forgot one dish. Never came cack to check on us. Finally had to flag someone down after my husband was halfway done with his food and the waitress barely apologized for forgetting my food. Then when it finally comes again no apology and they did not even offer to take anything off the bill after my food was so late. But food was good. read more

We tried to order on Grub Hub, but they had too many orders and Grub Hub was full, although they did not know that was why we couldn't order and told us to try again when we called. We ended up calling back and placing an order for pickup, so we could try it, now in the mood for Thai. I've tried many authentic thai restaurants, and this is as close as you can get in Syracuse! I was in town to visit my sister and really had no clue what there was to eat. This cam eup ono yelp and was a new restaurant, so we decided to give it a shot. We were seated quickly, as there was plenty of space. Menu is very simple and you'll understand quickly if you've had authentic thai food. We ordered our noodle dishes, pad kee mao (beef/chicken) and pad thai, laap, papaya salad. The papaya salad was disappointing because it was so fishy! Couldn't finish it. The laap was so spicy, even though they ask us how spicy we want it to be. We requested for medium spicy because my sister doesn't handle spice too well. On a scale of 0-10, 10 being hella spicy, this was a 8!!! Anyways, the spice didn't stop us from eating because laap is just one of those dishes that it's hard to f*ck up. The noodle dishes were the norm. Nothing special, but the portions were huge! I absolutely love Thai Love NY. We came for my birthday dinner this year because I love Thai food but was not impressed with the other places we have been. With Thai food I was spoiled when I lived in Florida because I lived 20 minutes from a Thai Temple which had a market every Sunday where you can go and buy fresh homemade traditional Thai food. Now that I'm in New York I wish I had gone to the temple more when I was in Tampa. While this place isn't the temple it's the best Thai I have had since moving to Syracuse. Everyone working there was incredibly nice and gracious. When we had questions about the soups we were brought samples instead of mirroring the same description that was in the menu. I got the pad see ew because it's one of my favorite dishes that are regularly represented at Thai restaurants so it's what I like to have as a baseline. It was fantastic. We won't be back as often as I'd like because Dave doesn't like Thai food as much as me but it will be the place I take him when he agrees to get Thai. read more

One of the cleanest Asian restaurants around, on par with Mitsuba in Township 5. All the food is very affordable, and if you love pho, they have one of the BEST beef soups I have had (the best restaurant pho I have tasted). If you come in on a slow day, they allow you to choose where you sit, not a big deal, but pretty cool. The summer rolls are overpriced, but honestly every spring roll everywhere is overpriced if you look at the ingredients (I still buy 2 every time though). Why I keep coming back is because of how clean the place is. Tables are nice and have a beautiful shine. Some of the best Thai food I have ever had! Thai Love NY has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, amazing service, and delicious Thai food that's as authentic as it gets! My sister and I got the: Veggie and tofu tom yum soup, papaya salad, pad puk, and pad kee mao. The papaya salad was so flavorful and tasty! I suggest getting a 1 or 2 spice level, cause often the chilis are much spicier than intended. They had the best pad kee mao I have ever had- the noodles were soft and not clumpy, it wasn't greasy, and was full of flavor. The servers were so sweet and attentive! My sister and I went back the next day! Great Thai food, can't wait to come back and try more stir fries and curry dishes! This place used to be a Japanese restaurant and it is newly remarketed as a Thai restaurant. The overall atmosphere is quiet and welcoming. I would recommend sitting in the "Asian" booth, which is located on the right side when you walk in. The booth is spacious and clean, able to sit about 5-6 people. Plus there a bunch of throw pillows with cats on them in the booth. We ordered the tofu appetizer, which is just fried tofu. I wouldn't recommend it since it is just a vehicle for the sauce, which was very typical sweet and sour sauce. We got the prig pow with chicken and the "gang kiew wan" curry with chicken. The server will ask for the level of spicy, and I wouldn't recommend the Thai hot because I got the level below that and it was hotter I expected, Both dishes were prepared well and the chicken was not dry at all. I also got the raspberry drink and it tasted like strawberry syrup in milk - I would get the Thai ice tea instead. Overall, 3-star Thai place, but since we are in Syracuse and not NYC or LA, I will add one more star to level the playing field. read more

I am a Thai Food fanatic and I've tried just about every Thai restaurant in Syracuse//Onondaga county. Thai Love NY is one of my go to for Thai. I prefer their Thai food over others because it is not overwhelmed with the "fish sauce" flavor/smell. My go to are the chicken satay and mild pad thai. Sometimes I would switch it up a bit and go for the Pad Khee Mao with no tomato. I love spicy food but "Thai spicy" is a different kind of spicy and def something my stomach can't handle, not even the medium. They recently got off of Grubhub and Door Dash and offer their own delivery service but there's a standard $12 fee which isn't astronomical, but it definitely makes me think twice about being lazy and ordering in, so I often opt for take out. It's normally prepared within 15 mins or less. read more

We are not from the area and I needed to find a restaurant with vegan options. Thai Love NY came up so we gave it a try! It was amazing!! The restaurant itself was warm comfortable, clean and inviting. The menu was so so easy to read with beautiful pictures and every item listed. Our food was delicious very large portions! 3 of us got the curry based meals and the 4th got a beef noodle dish that melted in your mouth The entire staff were attentive and efficient! Ordered delivery from this place for a work dinner and was disappointed at the pad see ew. It wasn't that tasty and used different noodles than I was accustomed to. Portions are huge though. Tom kha soup was good and customisable with proteins, which is a bit unheard of at other places. My co-workers got the Panang and they really loved it-- maybe I will go for one of the recommended dishes and curries instead if I'm ever in the area. Of note, they just got their liquor license and a very pushy salesman was there who knew NOTHING of Thai parings with wine and was trying to sell them cheap California wines not meant for such lovely food. I'm going to go on a limb and tell you that you're lucky you saw this review. This review is going to introduce to your new favorite restaurant. Thai Love NY was some of the best Thai food I've ever had. I've already given in to my newly-found addiction and come back there to eat 2-3 times in the last month. There doesn't seem to be any hope for a recovery any time soon because the food is just so good. The first thing you should do when you visit is, slap some of their spring rolls in your mouth bro. I know they're hot, but you have to eat them within 2 seconds of coming to the table for the full experience. Their spring rolls are very fresh and most importantly full of veggies. I can't stand a spring roll that is 98% crust and 2% veggies. After that, get either the Gang Dang Curry or Pad Thai as your main entree. Both dishes are high quality, comforting, and masterfully seasoned by TLNY's cook. You'll taste strong notes of basil & coconut in the curry. As for the pad thai, there will be strong notes of tamarind. You can get either dish during lunch time for only $10 stinking bucks. Both dishes have an irreplaceable unique flavor, so you're definitely getting your money's worth. That being said, TLNY gets my must-go-to-restaurant recommendation. If you're looking for authentic Thai that doesn't break the bank, then make your way to this place this weekend! read more

One of the best Pad Thai in town. If you're looking for a lower tamarind pad Thai, this is the place for you.

I had larb, coconut shrimp appetizer, glass noodle salad, coconut dessert and the fried banana fritter with green tea ice cream. For all the savory dishes, you can choose a spice level between 1-5. They label 3 as medium, 4 as hot, 5 as Thai hot. I got a 4 for the glass noodle dish and a 3 for the larb. I definitely wish I didn't do the 4. It was pretty spicy and I consider myself as someone who enjoys a lot of spicy food. The interior of the restaurant is pretty spacious and offers different styles of dining tables. There are booths, high tables, regular tables and Japanese style booths where your legs dangle down into a box (giving a pseudo appearance of eating on the ground except your legs don't need to be crossed). The interior is decorated with NY references (Broadway, Brooklyn, etc.). There's no outdoor dining option. The desserts were good but I thought it was super weird how the coconut ice cream dessert was served on top of a bed of lettuce with onion and had caramel sauce drizzled on top. I think the purpose of the vegetables under the coconut shell was to act as a sticky pad for the coconut shell to not slide around on the plate. However, the onion smell was really strong (and I like onions!), so it was off putting while eating the dessert. I liked that the glass noodle dish was fragrant with fish sauce and that they didn't go skimpy on that authentic flavor. I sat in the far corner booth where there was a loud and cold fan blowing so that wasn't my favorite. The man who seated us was really friendly. Our waitress didn't ask if we were interested in desserts though she asked the table next to ours. Maybe it was because they were closing in 20 minutes. This is only the 2nd Thai place I've tried in Syracuse area but so far it is my favorite one. read more
