The overall experience was just okay. We were greeted in a very welcoming way by one of the hosts and immediately served water. My husband and I visit several Thai restaurants and have never been to a place as expensive as this. I had an order of steamed shrimp dumplings and have zero complaints. My sister ordered pad Thai and it was just ok. The noodles were overcooked & extremely chewy and the chicken was dry. Also, tasted more like ketchup than anything. My husband ordered coconut soup and the chicken in it was also pretty dry. We are typically served this soup with rice but not at this place and the portion was rather small considering the price without rice. Also, not a complaint but a heads up - no kids menu. The food was brought out at different times and the pad Thai took about 35 minutes with one other couple sitting in the dining room. Overall the atmosphere and staff were welcoming. Pleasant appearing space compared to its competitors. Went for lunch and it was fairly quiet. Had the lunch potion of the Chicken Pad Thai and dinner portion of the Pad Prik Khing Chicken. We tried this place while in town for work. Ordered the cucumber salad, Vegetable with Ginger sauce and Pad Prik Khing chicken. They absolutely nailed it with traditional spices, how it was cooked and especially how it tasted. The food was incredibly flavorful and absolutely delicious. When you walk in you can the minimalistic decor in the semi-large dining area. There are some booths and quite a few tables. Everything looks clean for the most part. The service was prompt and friendly. I didn't have to ask for water refills, they were just brought to me. My food came out pretty quickly too, I would have liked to have some more time between the appetizers and entree. I went for lunch and got the lunch priced chicken pad thai. I appreciate that you can choose your spice level. There is a warning on the wall that no refunds will be issued if you order it too spicy. I however love spice and asked for hot. They delivered on that and I was pleased. For appetizers I got a spring roll which was hot, crispy, and flavorful with the dipping sauce. I also got the gyoza which was hot and crispy however the meat filling was pretty bland. It did not taste bad but it could be more flavorful. We order and pay for our food individually, and tip well. The last two times we were there, we were introduced to a new policy in which the management will not split the check more than three ways, except via an extra fee. ThaiThai is the only restaurant we go to which has such a policy, and as a result, I have told my friends I will no longer insist that we go to ThaiThai, because they clearly do not want our business as much as other places which have no such policy. read more

Definitely a NY-level of spice and I had to ask for the spice platter to get it even close. The fried Tofu app needed longer in the oil as the centers of the chunks was still raw. First time in Syracuse, the family stopped for a quiet dinner after a long drive. The food was made in a reasonable amount of time. We got spring rolls, pad Thai and beef salad. The only edible items were the rolls. The owner never came to check on how the food was or bother even to inquire about hardly touched entrees. When we politely mentioned that husband couldn't eat the beef salad because of too much spice and sandy grainy feel of beef-- we got yelled at and reprimanded for trying to "eat for free". Mind you, this is $50 of uneaten food left on the table. To top it off, they never returned our credit card--ON PURPOSE. Sadly, we only realized they stole the card after we drove away. I was surprised to see another Thai restaurant opening in this area since there are a few in the vicinity. Thai Thai is after the dollar tree on Erie. The parking lot is small but accommodating, Came here on a Saturday evening with a friend of mine, There were 6-7 other patrons when we arrived and the continued to come after us. We ordered beef green curry (12) and chicken pad Thai (11) to share between us two. We were brought a complementary crab Rangoon like appetizer which was very delicious! Got our main entrees 18 minutes after ordering, The curry dish was tasty but our beef was definitely over cooked and a little chewy and the vegetables included are a little disappointing. The order comes with 1 plate of white rice. The pad Thai was phenomenal. Definitely what I was craving. The flavoring and seasoning is much like what I've enjoyed in Thailand. We're still getting the hang of Thai food. We've gotten take out from here twice, and had a good enough experience. Honestly, my favorite thing by far is that when you tell them to make it spicy, they'll actually do it. I got a huge boost of confidence when we placed our first order over the phone. I asked for my food extra spicy, and she stopped me and said "...have you ever had our food extra spicy before?" At that point I hadn't, but I have definitely made the same request from other places and they'll dull it down if you show any signs of weakness. They definitely didn't hold back, in fact I was far above what I would call my regular comfort zone. I don't know what it is, but Thai food isn't good unless it hurts for days. The first thing we ordered was the Siam Square appetizer combo. Most of these things were directly comparable to any other place we've ordered them. The Crab Cheese Wontons were crispy and pretty bulky. The gyoza had bulk too, and the meat was flavored well. The chicken satay was the best part of the combo by far. I'd order that by itself as an appetizer and cut out the middle man. The combo itself was almost 20.00 for items that directly compare to most take out places. We got it to try everything in one run, but I'd recommend getting almost any other entrée they have for less. I ordered the beef green curry extra spicy, and it was an intense experience. It took me three days to eat the whole thing, it was basically me quickly taking 3-4 bites until the heat caught up and shut me down for 10 minutes. It doesn't sound like a good experience (and I can't imagine it looked or sounded like one), but I've been craving that gut burning spicy curry since I finally finished the last one I had. The meat was a bit chewy, and outside of the heat, there was a nice touch of coconut and sweet, but not a powerful overall flavor. They spiced up the Pad Thai pretty hard too, but the taste was pretty underwhelming. The noodles took the form of the plastic container and stayed that way til we broke them up with chopsticks. I've had better Pad Thai from everywhere else I've been. We also got the Pad Cashew Nut Chicken. Much less spicy than the rest, this was incredibly sweet. The pineapples were a full commitment to the overall flavor, and reinforced the sweet with every bite. None of what we got really wowed us enough to come back for. The food alone along with the pricing and the restaurant overall get three stars. Their willingness to add reckless amounts of heat because I told them I could handle it takes them to four. read more

So glad we found this gem! This restaurant is adjacent to a strip mall and we have missed the turn so many times. Food has strong Thai flavors and brings back memories of a tucked away family owned restaurant in Chiang Mai. Their red curry is bursting with flavor and the pad kee mao has lots of basil. We will definitely be regulars here and I'm looking forward to trying the rest of the menu. Let me start with the good. The food arrived on time. Pad Thai did not taste as it should. It wasn't bad and it wasn't t good. Just food. The Calamari was a disaster. For $15 there were 5 small pieces of squid. That was tasty. But really, think 5 pieces of chicken cut from one thigh or breast. Not a meal. There were 4-5 fried onion rings. Maybe they thought I would think those were calamari. They were not. The third dish, a curry, was good. There are so many better meals. I am very sorry to give this bad review because I may be hurting a family and a family business. I hope they get this fixed and do better. Also, others may like their food more and I suspect that the calamari was a screwup. So maybe try this place and write a review. read more

This is one of my favorite spots in syracuse. It is located on a busy road but when you enter the restaurant, it doesn't feel hectic at all. There is a lot of parking by the building which is convenient. The staff is really friendly. I got to meet the owner who is really sweet, hard working, and clearly is passionate about her job. I've been here a bunch of times. Most recently, I got the Thai iced tea which I feel is the perfect amount of sweet. Sometimes Thai iced teas can be too sweet but I feel like Thai Thai has it to a science. We got the sexy crab legs. It's so cool how they light the surrounding sauce on fire!! It's almost a crab Rangoon in egg roll form. Very delicious but filling. The mango shrimp cashew dish is so good. I was scared it would be spicy but it wasn't. There pack a lot of mango into the dish and it pairs so well with the rest of the vegetables and shrimp. We also got a chicken dish with green beans and a peanut sauce. I really liked it. It was creamy and smooth. Both dishes came with a lot of white rice to mix in. The portions are huge which is great to be able to take home and have for lunch the next day. Not many people here, but it's 5pm Sunday. We tried the Siam Square appetizer platter that incorporated Veggie Shrimp rolls, crab Rangoon, spring rolls, friend dumplings, and chicken satay. Absolutely delicious. The satay was big and tender. The crab Rangoon was in a light and very crispy shell. Try it. Shrimp Pad Thai was also delicious. My wife, who can close a restaurant with her disagreement with a restairant's take on a meal -loved it. I ordered the Pad Prik Khing Chicken and asked for spicy. I was pleasantly surprised that it was quite spicy. All-in-all, a gem in Syracuse. Staff was friendly. I really have loved everything I've ordered from here. I think it may be a little more Northern-Thailand style food, because it is less sweet, which is great. Sometimes pad Thai ordered in the USA is super sweet, but here you get more fish sauce flavor and just the right amount of sweetness, which is much more pleasant. It looks like it's just one review that is pulling down the ranking of this place. My boyfriend and I tried the Panang curry and Red Chicken Curry. They were both just as delicious as our favorite Thai places in LA! We will definitely be coming back! If you love spicy just get medium, but if you like it when it hurts, get hot. If you get the extra spicy, expect to cry, sweat, and your nose to run. This place is new and absolutely delicious!!! If you love Thai food definitely give this place a try. The food here was really great! I recently moved to the area, and comparing this to my all time favorite thai restaurant in Boston, it came somewhat close. We ordered the pad thai, pad see ew, tom yum soup, yellow curry, and crab rangoon. My personal favorite items were the tom yum and the crab rangoon (definitely better than your average crab rangoon). I found the pad thai to be different from every other pad thai I've ever tried. It was a good dish, but in a blind taste test I wouldn't have recognized it as pad thai. Not a bad thing, just different from what I'm used to. We ordered delivery and it came fairly quickly. After reviewing my options on Yelp I made the decision to pay a visit to this establishment. The outside of the building is very plain and nothing to look at. But if you are willing to step through the doors and enter you will be greatly rewarded with arguably the finest tasting Thai food you have ever ate. The inside decor is very modern and relaxing. We started with the Siam Square appetizer which is a nice mix of several different apps. All very tasty! My husband got Pad Thai and I had Green Curry with pork. We got both "medium". We both like spicy food and get our wings "hot" but the food at Thai Thai was at the upper end of our heat tolerance at medium so proceed with caution! Thais like their food hot, hot, hot! Both dishes were really good, definitely some of the best Thai we've had in Syracuse. They have curbside only - call ahead and then when you get there you call and they bring the food out as they keep the door locked.
